Another DS9 fan! As were free to discuss, what are your favourite TNG and DS9 episodes? I say episodes because I know I'd be hard to choose one. I should've added Dr Who in my original post, I've lost interest in it with Mat Smith, but I still watch the specials.

Hi, I had a few ideas, I might post more later, maybe tomorrow. The main one is the danger room. I'm interested to see how similar mine and Roguesdeathkiss are. Anyway, it'd have to have about 1000 pieces or so, due to the main feature. The idea is that the playset would be 32X32 or bigger, and would be made up of smaller 6X6/10X10 vigs. Each would be connected by technic pins, and would have different features. For example, one might have a flip up rocket launcher, while others might have things like variable terrain features (i.e the floor would move up and down to simulate tremors), or even one with two bases for minis and two sticks, you place a Danger Room robot on one and say Colossus or Wolverine on another, and have a good punch up with the robot, by twisting the stick to a make them move. There would be an L or U shaped frame around the edge with an observation box and power core, while the other walls could house other features, like a cage or an explosive feature, and of course the obligatory door and emergency shut off. The whole idea is that kids (and AFOLS) could make there own assault course for the X-Men. Plus, you can buy more than one and make a bigger danger room. I'm thinking it would include Wolverine (battle damaged Tiger stripes), Beast, Second Generation Cyclops, Shadow Cat (or Sprite), Storm (Mohawk maybe?), Prof X, Civilian clothed Banshee (Green sweater, after he lost his voice battling Moses Magnum), and Colossus. The way these X-Men sets are getting released it'll be 2024 before we get a full team, still I'm grateful we get what we get.

I don't know, even if I'm enjoying the view, really appreciating it I mean, I suddenly have an urge to grab hold of the flying vehicle, no matter how perilous it might be, and run round in circles till I go dizzy going pew pew pew pew! Then again, it could just be me. Thank you all for you reply's, it's great to see I'm not alone in my swoshing endeavours, and some great stories here. From the looks of it, we've got swooshing for flying vehicles, and we now need vrooming for ground vehicles, splooshing for sailing vehicles, choo-chooing for trains, and yeownnnn-CRUNCHing for buildings. I think my spell checker just suffered heart failure after that last sentence.

Hey, I have an idea. Somebody, I can't remember who, sketched the Hydra tank and the AIM lab before we had pictures. Technically your not breaking any rules, your just drawing a picture. No water mark, so they can't get you for that. And, in the end, we have a picture of the set. All it has to be is a sketch, even if you can only remember parts of the set.

Sorry to bump this, I was surprised that I hadn't post in this topic, but I'd thought I'd post. A comic series that now is quite old, just over a decade-ish, I got into via my comic book store. The series is called Exiles, it's relatively unknown but, it's unbelievably fantastic. The original, NOT, surprisingly, the terrible re-boot by Chris Claremont. The entire series revolves around a group of heroes, "unhinged" from time and the multiverse. They have been recruited by a entity known as the Time-Broker, who's got together this team to fix the multiverse. He explains that, in the billions upon billions of universes that exist, every so often there happens to be a "faulty" one, a faulty gene of sorts that can effect others, a domino effect. The mission for these heroes, is to fix these reality's, and at a some point their home reality's get fixed, and, as a result, they can go home. If they fail, they're sent back to a twisted version of what they once new. The team consists of Mimic, his worlds Mutant hero who ushers in a new era of peace for Mutants and humans, Blink, from AOA, Thunderbird, ex servant of Apocalypse, Morph, shape changing funny man, Nocturne, Nightcrawler's and Scarlet Witches daughter, and Magnus, son of Magneto and Rogue. Imagine Quantum Leap meets Star Trek meets What If? Nobody's safe, your main team leader could die on the next page, anybody could, literally anything could happen. Fate Of The Phoenix, Vampire Avengers, an evil suicidal team of reality hoppers like the Exiles called Weapon X, a Exile team of Wolverines, Emperor Stark, what if the Skrull's took over Earth in the early 20th century, Mojo World, Hyperion v Hyperion and Hyperion, a world where operation wide awake was a success, Moses Magnum, an evil Silver Surfer and a Silver Sabertooth, New York turned into a Dungeons and Dragons esque like place by Kulan Gath, returns to reality’s such as 2099, future imperfect, Squadron supreme, and the new universe, a reality saving cheese Danish, so many others. Well worth a look if you like alternate reality’s, blink and you miss it references to comics and popular culture, good humour, good art, or crazy plot twists in some cases. Just don't bother with the Claremont re-boot, depressing, boring, stuff.

100% agreed. I was blown away by the news that we would get X-Men sets. Sure, these sets turned to a set, then it got rapidly smaller, but still, I'm pleased after the slightly lack-lustre 2013 sets. Don't get me wrong, some of them was great (Dr Doom, nuff said), however, overall it seemed 2014 was going to make it or break it for Super-Heroes, Marvel at least. I don't won't to get hyped up, but three/four Spidey sets, three GOTG sets, two Avengers, and one X-Men set in a year is fantastic, and for me makes it possibly the best year yet. Real pleased, as for weather the guy is trust worthy, I'm going to keep an open mind. It's possible that there is a forth fig but it isn't pictured for what ever reason, maybe its too pre-production to be shown.

How long's the Blackbird, roughly? And why's Cyclops in the middle of the Blackbird? Is there a nose cone on the end? And, not to push it or anything, how many pieces are there? Thanks for this enlightening information, I'm disappointed there's no fifth figure, still, thanks. I eagerly await more info, on both the Blackbird, and the Agents sets.

Thanks! Extremely close, it's #182 with the bar brawl. Not a great idea from Wolverine, a man who can't get drunk, and he takes Colossus (a guy who can get drunk like the rest of us, while he's going through a rough time) out to have a word with him about breaking a friends heart, and while trying to make an exit after realizing Marko's (Juggernaut) in the Bar, Colossus ends up knocking a pint over on him, who's still pretty peeved that he got beaten by Spider-Man (Spider-Man #230). One hell of a way to end the fight between Colossus and Juggernaut, literally bringing the house down. Anyway, I'd never seen Dog pound the TMNT fig before, and I was shocked. That's perfect for a dozen of the bigger than average characters, and it looks like it could cost less as well. I've always hated the big fig Hulk, the Hulk to me isn't 10 feet tall, only about 7 feet at least, so this looks like a great solution. Maybe a spring arm like the giant Rock Monster's from Power Miner's for Colossus, if they make him, so he can fast ball special Wolverine? Be a pretty nice play feature, I think. More on topic, I don't see a problem with Beast, he's generally well known, a founding member of the X-Men, a high profile member of the Avengers, and part of possibly my favourite line-up of them, he's also had good coverage in X-Men media, both animated series and two (I believe) of the film's, and, lastly, he's one of my favourite character's ever, so I've got no problem. And Lego can make him pretty easily, no new mold's or nothing, just printing as the MOD said. So we know where getting Wolverine, Storm, and Magneto (in a costume that he wore when he teamed up with the X-Men and became a good guy). I'm expecting two more, Cyclops, as he's iconic (although he's lost it recently, IMHO), and well known. Storm has led the team before however, I'm thinking they’ll include still include Cyc. And one more, I'm thinking either Jean Gray, Bishop, Gambit, Prof X, Beast or Colossus, as with the sentinel I think we've got enough villains. Only a few more day's, London toy fair begins on the 21st, till then I'll just chew my way through a table or two. Seems like forever, doesn’t it?

Also the Argos catalogue will be coming out on Saturday, according to a TV add. My guess is that it'll have a lot of the 2014 sets. My local Smyth's and WHS have varying quantity's of 2014 sets as well.

Not to mention the official ones seems to be dark blue. Talking of tussles between Colossus and Jug, the one in the bar just after the Secret Wars still brings a smile to my face. I was hoping they'd make Colossus as a regular fig, and use the red hockey armour piece to slightly make him taller. Maybe it's a smaller support craft like the yellow one in the 90's animated series? Or it's just made up of huge fuselage pieces to get to the 200 pieces... Either way I'm buying it, just to get the figs. If the jet's lacklustre, I'll just buy an extra one or two separated on eBay, and MOD it. And two more sentinels. Maybe Wolverine's been fast ball specialed out the Blackbird?

Future Castle sets - put your hopes and ideas here
Dr Leg O Brick replied to Alfadas's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The closest I think we'll get to a Church is something like what was in the joust, a unspecified room with a stain-glass window and a pedestal with a book. -
Marvel studios, if I remember correctly, have recently got back the rights to the Surfer and Galactus. Great with the Thanos story their expanding with Guardians and Avengers 1. Not to turn this into a huge fan boy shoot out, but, suggesting Galactus is "Goofy" is ridiculous. All superhero's are goofy to a certain extent, but, why not? Galactus is practically a god, his power unmatched (I've only seen one man break his armour), why shouldn't he look goofy, to me he's a staple of a classic superhero. All my opinion, of course. As for Galactus in the FF movie? Possibly the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. The injustice to the character is beyond magnitude. He was practically a fart cloud, the Devourer Of Worlds, a fart cloud. Where's the pink and blue armour, the spiked helmet and the black hair, along with his ship? I'd love if they did a Giant Man/Power Man (the other one)/Goliath minifig pens, but alas, back on topic. When's London toy fair? I expect we'll get descriptions, as other have said, at London, then pics at the New York toy fair. Is their the possibility of a retail exclusive? Or a few polybags later in the year? Maybe a danger room training robot, or a mini Blackbird?

No Numbuh1Nerd, the wing I can see is definitely coming from the Blackbird. You can see Storm, and part of the fuselage on the port side. Seeing the pic and the piece count, and making a guestimate, I'd say it's got a cockpit to seat two, three figs maybe in the front. Then a hold in the back to seat a few more. I'd say the main wing is this part, http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=87614 , with this on the end, http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=93273. Then a SNOT contraption in between, have a look for yourself http://s407.photobucket.com/user/vicnasty8333/media/4be92af6-fe74-4c26-b92a-3c948ecd00ce.jpg.html. Thanks to the original poster for the link. It's extremely hard to make out due to the fold in the page, you have to zoom and try and look for a strange dark blueish wing. One found, you can make out the rest.

And the Guardians Of The Galaxy pic shows what looks like a wing, a huge wing with an engine if you look closely, top left if I remember correctly.

Just figured out, "Kragle", Krazy Glue. It's what can be made out from the glue tube with the glue splodges and all. I've heard the movie being referenced a few times on TV, even a comment in one of the papers along the lines of "The biggest cash-in/advert for a toy in years, yet extremely hilarious and enjoyable". Getting more and more excited now, only a few weeks away...

If they make Cyclops, my guess is, in order of most probable to least, his costume might be either his Astonishing X-Men suit, his 90's animated/Jim Lee suit, then maybe his Second Genesis suit. I don't think they'll will go with either his X-Factor, Ultimate, 2000's Morrison and Silvestri, movie, or his original X-Men training suit, as they don't fit in with what Lego's approach to the X-Men seems to be.

Please bring back the Forestmen!
Dr Leg O Brick replied to jodawill's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'd love if they brought back the Forestmen, Black Falcon's, Black Knights, and Crusaders/Lion Knights. Unlikely, but I can dream. And yellow's all the way, only two set's exist to my knowledge where they are mixed, it's not my thing. They should be separated, only to be used for IP's, not the classic's, but that's another debate, we should be talking about Forestmen. I'm planning on buying some Ewok set's to gut and slightly rebuild to make a Forestman village. I'd love if they went that route, kind of make them look classical and able to blend in with the original's, yet make them look modern somehow. -
LEGO Ultra Agents 2014
Dr Leg O Brick replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Maybe a villain named Hurricane? Obsessing over wind control tech or weaponry? Look's good, this "Ultra Agents" maybe the best of the best perhaps, in term's of Agents? This base sound's pretty good as well, at 1000 plus pieces it better be. -
Magneto could be controlling the Sentinel's through his powers, (hence why some Sentinel's are made of plastic), he's done things like that in the past. 5 fig's, one large model, one small like the Quinjet is what I'm sticking to as my hunch. I'm not really disappointed to be honest, I would of preferred a brick-built Sentinel head, so I could buy multiples of eBay to make Rover and Master-Mold, but it look's like it isn't feasible to do that at the smaller scale. Maybe they're testing the water for 2015? And three Guardian's sets, interesting, maybe we will get the full line up after all.

Just as I predicted months ago, a Sentinel with the Blackbird! Fantastic, great Wolverine. Those who are possibly upset by the Sentinel, to my knowledge they have come in three different sizes. The originals where practically tiny, about 10ft if I remember correctly. The next two version's got bigger and bigger, as you can see from the photos. They have come human sized, however, they where able to camouflage and originated in a possible future (Such as Nimrod). Wow, so that's three out of the five fig's confirmed, Wolverine, Storm and Magneto, plus that dark blue fig on the top of the box who's either Cyclops or Mystique by my reckoning. I'm thinking Beast maybe the last one, after all I think the two remaining will be in the Blackbird, which would make sense (Cyclops flying, beast co-pilot). Just to ask a question, is Wolverine in his Brown costume?!? It's a dream come true if it is, since day one I've been hoping that costume. Also, if it is his brown costume, Lego seem to be going for a late 80's/90's themed approach, with Magneto and Storm in similar costumes from that era (If I remember correctly).

A few times, but it's hit and miss. Sometimes they don't have the stock they say they have, they see me a million miles away due to the amount of times I've complained. Still, I'll be fair, they have improved recently. The worst is Tesco. Your lucky if you get served the day you arrive at a particular one near me.

So, pretty self explanatory, I was curious, how many of us AFOL's "swoosh"? What ship/plane/flying contraption/thing do you think's the most swooshable? And most importantly, how many of us add the pew pew pew and rown-tuf-tuf-tuf noises?

Normally Argos are fine. However, many an instance they have sold out of stuff, usually around summer and winter, with Christmas obviously. In 2010, I went in to the one in Birmingham city centre with a list of 11 sets, different theme's, different price points (I still have the list), and all where sold out. Normally the one in Birmingham is more likely to not have you want or have a problem with your order, whereas the one in Sutton Colfield I've never had a problem with. I guess it's as the saying goes, your mileage may vary.

LEGO parts made of Chinese plastic?
Dr Leg O Brick replied to Henchmen4Hire's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Oh, I know that. It's just all this talk of chemical leaks and cloak and dagger esque intrigue, got me slightly concerned. Personally I don't mind, their £2 each, they make excellent population boosters for most themes, particular Town/City. For the price, I don't knock the quality. Sure, the quality isn't a good as it could be, and I don't like China's work ethics any more than the next man, however, it's not going to change any time soon and there's not much I can do, I am only one man among millions. I won't go further, as it's going beyond what's aloud here. Apart from Lego and my action figure collection, I don't buy any toy's from China. I stay well clear of any £1/Car boot/ Market toy's, or anything for that matter that's not from a large company, or a reputable one at least. Back to Lego, I've only had three problem's with sets since 2008, I've never had any problems since 2009, and even among the three none came from China, it was in fact Denmark (Two melted parts and a missing sticker sheet). -
LEGO parts made of Chinese plastic?
Dr Leg O Brick replied to Henchmen4Hire's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Is there any solid, 100% no doubt proof that Chinese Mini figs or parts contain contaminates that are toxic?
