VBBN, thank you for showing it. I just had the sets in hand, and tried putting one on top of the other. I haven't tried anything like you, removing pilot and tank, but it looks cool. I have more '14 than '13 HF sets, which means more than one. Got lots of '11 and '12 though

I don't know if they're designed to do it, but the yellow feet of Walker attach to the balls on XL where the antenna and missile pack usually is. The 3rd leg of walker attach to nothing, but can curl around the big storage cylinder. This way you have a very tall mech with a cannon above the driver. It looks pretty good.

Evo Walker attaches pretty nicely to Evo XL, forming a double pilot vehicle. The antenna and flick-fire missiles is moved outward to the free balls at the shoulders of XL.

There are so many possibilities for constraction 2015, I don't see why some unprecise linked-in profile would suggest much. Erland Part Design

You can add the armor to a regular minifigure, and stick it on to the cockpit. The handles for the heros need to be replaced by other handles built with regular "bricks", if the minifure need to grab handles attached to the cockpit. The placement of the hands is not exactly the same on a minifigure and a hero.

I think you need to read it again. I was talking about the fit of the Hero figures in the seats.

The funny thing is that the helmet shown here is not the same design as the old space helmets I have (from some of the early space sets). On my helmets the chin flows into the rest of the helmet without any ridge.

Mysterious lump on 42023, and part number nowhere to be found!

I've checked a few of mine, and there is a cavity and mould number (combined), and a copyright C at the deep end of the square hole. I've checked parts from at least three moulds. It is not absolutely necessary to have part number and LEGO name associated with the copyright C. It does look a bit strange though, I could have fitted part number, cavity and mould number, as well as C LEGO in this area. But we do allow smaller letters than in the "old times". Making "better" Lego bricks? My challenge.

If you are tired of the 6/5 ratio in the Bricks system, turn to Technic system, where the module is the same in all directions. There is no doubt that the proportions of a LEGO brick could have been made in a more suitable modular way. Aeshtetics probably was a big factor when the basic design proportions was chosen back in the 50's. Erland Part Design -
How many copies of a given Set TLG makes ...?

This is in general confidential information. Most companies does not tell how many products they sell, except when they feel it has marketing value, like Samsung bragging about sales numbers of their new watch. Clearly the aim must be to get more consumers into the hype of a new product. Erland Part Design -
I've tried putting a figure into the seat and clipping the handles on the hands. Very sweet and easy fit. Comparing to how cumbersome it usually is to fit a handlebar or similar to a regular minifigure, this is heaven. Sadly I will wait a while to get these new sets, first I need to get the 2013 sets in multiple amounts, at sale in the new year. I can not have too many bones and shells. But maybe I'm lucky and get a 2014 set for christmas Erland Part Design

The design of Cheese slope (1x1x2/3 slope) has actually been altered lately, but I can't promise that every piece in the future includes the improvement. But eventually they will. You should not be able to see the change made. Erland Part Design.

Head is standard minifig head :-)

I've printed the assembly tower on a 1x1 tile, to get the right scale of everything.

You should probably try and get closer or get glasses!

Did anyone count the amount of new feet ?

It's a normal property of ABS, that the friction level will increase during aging.

So, we end up with a bit of transparent bones you guys are jumping around in this thread, just as much as some of the features of the new wave.

Just to let you know, Flextronic is not producing bricks for LEGO anymore. Colour quality may not only be related to using non-colored pellets. Replacing old with new and more enviromental friendly substances in ABS may also give different colours. ABS is not just ABS.
