  1. I went to the Orland Park store today in Chicago. They normally have both models on the wall at the same time. They only had the truck. The clerk there indicated to me that the bigger wall stores had the truck, and the smaller stores had the frog. She also said that that was the only model they'd have on the wall for the entire 3 month period. She didn't know if this was how it was going to be going forward, or specific to this one. This model has significantly more pieces (66) then previous ones (avg about 40).
  2. Interesting videos from Beyond the Brick at Brickworld Indy. Tom Atkinson and a walk around the loop, while it wasn't running, and a more in depth look at a few modules. Standard video w/o commentary of the loop
  3. I grabbed a picture of both of them today in Chicago. At one of the stores I visit, I had an employee specifically mention to me that their store's limit was 3 cups each of any of the PaM parts, which I found to be quite generous, even though I didn't take that much.
  4. Amazon (US) has LEGO Education 9286 4 pack baseplates for $28.68 today. This is a 48x48 light bley, a 32x32 blue, and 2x 32x32 in what appears to be regular green.
  5. My understanding is that Store Managers don't know anything about q2 yet, which is somewhat odd.
  6. 4 13 15 35 56 Lots of really nice entries!
  7. Score! Bought 6 of those myself.
  8. By no means is my module proven, but I ended up going with an axle all the way through, 3l liftarms attached to 2l liftarms w/ axle. Based on what i can make out from the video, nothing like he went with.
  9. My local TRU (Mishawaka, IN) had Halloween Bat (40090) for 3.99 (60% off).
  10. Very nice technique! I just got around to testing this out this evening, and as you said, the slight bend in the tread really holds it on there. Lots of interesting opportunities with this type of connection.
  11. I'm in process on one at the moment, what in particular did you have an issue with?
  12. Where the 'chair' connects to the chain link, that is just held on by friction, not locked in? How strong does that connection seem to be?
  13. Confirmed, just got an email. EXTENDED – VIP Double Points! Earn $5 for every $50 you spend through October 31!***
  14. I'm not sure they'd publish a full listing out there, as they want you to buy the book. That said, if you look at the Amazon listing (atleast the US one, I can't speak for others), there are 7 pictures of inside pages (14). A review at TheBrickFan has some others. See also, a reddit thread on the subject.
  15. It appears to be this piece: Brick, Round 7 x 7 x 4 Dome Top Which in trans blue is from a single Bionicle set from 2007 Barraki Deepsea Patrol
  16. I really like the pieces in these 2, the panda maybe slightly more than the truck. As noted above with the chairs, Water Tower place in Chicago also had white ones.
  17. As others have stated, it will obviously vary based on what pieces you select, and how well they can be packed. I just weighed 10 full cups I've yet to unpack, and they ranged between 470g and 610g, most in the low 500 range (mostly smaller pieces, no 2x bricks). Empty cup w/ lid at 86g.
  18. They are. Nominally 14.2mm.Also available from LEGO bricks & pieces, part 72824, US$0.84/ea
  19. 20cm http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/LEGO-Power-Functions-Extension-Wire-8886 50cm http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/LEGO-Power-Functions-Extension-Wire-20-8871 I can't help you with the pneumatic hoses, sorry.
  20. As with all Meijer/Walmart clearance, YMMV. Only 1 of the 6 stores I've checked in the past 10 days or so have had this. Though I'd imagine the others are going to happen soon.
  21. US Shop @ Home has Niksput 41528 at 50% off ($2.48) http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Niksput-41528 and NurpNaut 41529 at 50% off ($2.48) http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Nurp-Naut-41529 with no apparent quantity limits (99)
  22. If there is an official spot, I don't know where it is, couldn't find it either.
  23. I would agree with the above. Personal opinion: If you sporadically include old grey in a solid bley wall, I think it looks bad, like you ran out of new parts, and included faded, yellowed parts. If you are including old parts in a large context of mixing old and new grey and old and new dark grey, maybe brown or some other color, it adds color variation, which would be appropriate.
  24. The Toys R Us in Mishawaka, IN had about 5 or 6 70705 Bug Obliterators for $43 a couple of hours ago today. I didn't purchase them, so they should still be there.
  25. BrickShirts have one. http://www.brickshir...&products_id=60 I bought mine last year (2014) at Brickworld Chicago, but it doesn't look like they have a lot of sizes available.
