  1. I've probably visited 6+ stores in a 40 mile radius in the past week (NW Indiana, SW Michigan), and they vary greatly in what is marked down. One store had a huge pile of Ninjago and Chima at 50% off, other stores have had stuff marked down 10-15%. Lots of TMNT and Super Heroes sets as well. I have never been able to find any of the 'girls' sets marked down around here, wish I could.
  2. My (NW Indiana) Meijer had Simpsons CMF for BOGO50, effectively 25% off.
  3. Yeah, I meant 6 at a time. That gets pretty annoying & time consuming when you have 500 pictures to add.
  4. It appears that you have 2 (3?) light sources, and those light sources are different colors. I'd say you have it properly white balanced for the areas where both lights are hitting, but if you'll notice, the shadow on the right has a slightly yellow tint, while the ones on the left are blue. No real way to correct this other than to change the lights or balance the light color with gels, which is a whole other topic, likely beyond the scope of this thread.
  5. I would agree fully with the above. I've also found that turning on 'Highlight Alert' in review mode, or the Nikon equivalent, is very helpful for catching if/where you have overexposed when looking at the pictures on the camera screen.
  6. My primary criticism of this photo would be that the mirror assembly in the top left is overexposed and you can't make out any of the details, otherwise it looks pretty good. I would also advocate shooting RAW. If you had in this case, I think the mirror might be recoverable. Lightroom + RAW can really turn some photos around that look like a dud in JPG straight from the camera. It takes up a lot of space, but in the world of 64GB sd cards you can still fit >1000 photos on a card.
  7. Since I hadn't seen it here. Brickworld Chicago, June, 2015 GBC from Beyond the Brick:
  8. If I recall from previous years of adding photos to the group, you could only add like 6? at a time, so I'd imagine that would discourage people from adding large galleries.
  9. To be fair, you could probably shoot ISO 12800 with the 5dMk3 and make photos sufficient for flickr / eurobricks.
  10. My Flickr set: https://www.flickr.c...157654659616919
  11. Even though I'm there, there are so many great displays, I always miss things, so I'd like to see your photo albums and/or video collections. Flickr/Vimeo/Youtube/etc
  12. 75020 - Jabba's Sail Barge $49.00 in the clearance aisle at Walmart.
  13. There is an Indy group, quite a few members are on Eurobricks, I'm sure they will post on your thread here soon. Website is http://indylug.org/ From what I've seen, they have quite a few members who are big into Technic and display GBC at various shows.
  14. 2 months later, I have finally gotten around to uploading my photos from Brickworld... https://www.flickr.c...57646891620225/
  15. In addition to those above... 9473 The Mines of Moria 70705 Bug Obliterator 79003 An Unexpected Gathering 9500 Sith Interceptor 7346 Seaside House 79002 Attack of the Wargs 79001 Escape from Mirkwood Spiders Star Wars Planet Series 2 and Series 3
  16. The part, as bricklink describes it, 'Dish 2 x 2 x 2/3 Light Reflector' http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=x85
  17. My Walmart (South Bend, IN) was bringing in new stock, clearing out the old, and rearranging the toys section. On clearance for 30% off: 9493 X-wing Starfighter 6868 Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout 3818 Bikini Bottom Undersea Party 9472 Attack on Weathertop 75004 Z-95 Headhunter And a city set, but I don't remember which one, maybe the garbage truck.
  18. I believe he is referring to this parts pack: http://www.legoeduca...oss_blocks/1481 http://www.bricklink....asp?S=991405-1 Bricklink says the parts pack was released in 2008, and that's when it was added to Bricklink, with the picture that you have included above. The Bricklink inventory for the parts pack shows 44809, but that part doesn't have the axle cutout/slot on the top. I would imagine that either it's not new and undocumented. Or that the image on there is a pre-production part that was replaced with 44809.
  19. The Target I checked today still has most of the sets on clearance at ~20-30%. Hobbit game was 50% off.
  20. My store (South Bend, IN) had the same (theme, I would assume) sets on clearance for anywhere between 10-30% off. Only 1 or 2 were at 30%, most were less.
  21. Might I refer you to this image from a Si-MOCs: Operation Oscar: Phase 2 - FrogPod Fleet maneuvers by Si-MOCs, on Flickr
  22. I assume you gave this to me, but it could have been a number of people. JPS, J (my first initial) Positioning System, I was the navigation for a number of mall and dinner trips at Brickworld 2013. Saturday night probably, Bryan brought all his leftovers and there was a big ol party at the Ruby Slipper table.
  23. They were marked as 'Clearance' on the shelf, not on sale in the weekly ad. Maybe the people you talked to were only aware of the ad?I suppose they could be all sold out already too. I have noticed that sets disappear much faster when they are marked on clearance in the regular shelves vs on the end cap / clearance section. The stores I went to were South Bend, IN, Mishawaka, IN (x2), Stevensville, MI, and Benton Harbor, MI
  24. It does appear to vary by store then... At the 5 stores I visited: All 5 had The Mummy at 50% off 1 store had the Spongebob sets at 50% off, the rest were 25% 1 store had The Werewolf and the Transport Chopper at 50% off, rest were 25% 1 store had Gandolf Arrives at 50%, rest were 25% All had Hobbit at 50% I did not see the Garbage truck at 50% at any of the 5 stores, it was either 25% off, or not for sale
  25. Meijer has many sets 25% off. A few sets were even 50% off! All the stores I went to had about 10x the Mummy set each @6$. Primarily Monster Hunters, but there were also Spongebob and city sets in there too. Ymmv, (Northern Indiana, SW Michigan.)
