It appears that the King rooms were only sold out for Sunday night (as of 7:30pm EST, Jan 24), the other nights were ok still.

My local (Northern Indiana / SW Michigan) Meijer stores have assorted Alien Conquest, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and other sets at ~30% off. I can't say that all of them were 30% off, just the ones that I knew the MSRP on. It's not obvious that they are discounted, they have no sale or clearance stickers on them, just white price tags on the shelf, and are located in the aisle with the rest of the Lego. In all the stores that I've looked at they are at the far end of the Lego section away from the rest of the sets in the theme, and the shelves are slightly more disorganized than the rest. The tags on the shelf are written like "LEGO Flex Section 1-6".

While I'm not suggesting that these will not be given as a freebee with a qualifying purchase in the US, Vintage Set #1 is listed on the US TRU website for 25$. Does not appear to be listed on the CA, UK, or AU TRU websites, atleast with the term 'vintage'. LEGO Bricktober 2012 Vintage MiniFigure Collection VOL. 1

I approve of this message. Nice video!

Yes, I remember mention of a single South Korea LUG with ~20k members.

Looks like this has been fixed/sold out, atleast looking at it from the US.

Only 4 pieces (legs, torso, head, hat)... You try to assemble as many minifigs as you can in a time limit, I think it was 2 minutes for the qualifying, and 4 minutes in the finals. The winner did something like 40-44 in that time.

My local (South Bend / Mishawaka, IN) Meijer stores have had Series 5 minifigures on sale for 2/$3.00 ($1.50/ea). They have been located on aisle end caps with other cheap toys in the $1-3 range.

The Eurobricks Reviewers Academy
Prune Face replied to Bonaparte's topic in Forum Information and Help
I'm new, but I'd like to be admitted to the Academy. I've got an Ultimate Build: Lighting McQueen 8484, Space Center 3368, and a Big Bentley Bust Out 8639 unopened in box that I'd like to review. I've also noticed that you don't have any official/indexed reviews for these sets, so I'm definitely interested in getting them to the level where they could be used for that purpose. Thanks! -
Here's my initial set of general Brickworld photos, it's just what caught my eye on my first run through the pictures, so I haven't had time to do any adjustments on them yet, and I'm sure I'll find more I like. Also let me know if you have something in particular you are looking for, have a lot that I didn't upload. General Images - Brickworld 2012 I also went on a spree of shooting trees for some reason, I think I got about every tree on display, micro trees included. Trees - Brickworld 2012

Congrats guys! It was a really impressive layout. Got a few more pictures of it in my flickr.

Thanks! These are the 3 that I found in a quick browse of what I had. I may have a few more, but I'll have to look later. Brickworld 2012 by Prune Face, on Flickr Brickworld 2012 by Prune Face, on Flickr Brickworld 2012 by Prune Face, on Flickr

Pictorial Review: 40049 Mini Sopwith Camel plane
Prune Face replied to Solscud007's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think I like this more than the full size Sopwith Camel (10226) because they get the essence across without stickers or printed bricks. -
I grabbed a couple pics for you, but I can't link to them until I have 5 posts apparently.

Looks like I took about 800 photos at Brickworld, so I'll be sorting through those tonight and should probably get some uploaded tomorrow.

Hello Eurobricks! My name is Josh, I'm from northern Indiana and have recently come out of my dark ages. I grew up in the early 90s, and fondly remember classic town sets like 1682 Space Shuttle and 7722 Steam Cargo Train, M-/Black-tron, as well as some Technic sets (especially the pneumatic ones) from when I was a little older. I lost touch with Lego when I went off to college. Earlier this year, I caught some of the after Christmas clearance sales at Walmart and Meijer, and started buying some sets at 50% off (I love clearance aisle shopping!). I had so much fun with the sets I picked up, within a couple weeks, I had driven around to about 25 'near by' Walmarts, Meijer, and Target stores, and had bought something like 30k bricks in assorted sets. I started looking for inspiration in something to build with all these new parts, along with the old ones I still have. I browsed flickr and other sites, looking at creations, and eventually came across collections from Brickworld 2011. I was amazed by everything I saw, so I decided that I had to go, since it was relatively close, to take in all the classes and workshops and view the creations myself. I went to Brickworld by myself, without knowing anyone, and the first day, was warmly welcomed, and made to feel like family by Hinkley, Stash, Peppermint, and other staff and members of this site. I had a great learning experience, saw a lot of incredible creations (like the collab build from Eurobricks members), and had a great time with people who are sure to be long time friends. They encouraged me to join this community, so here I am. -Prune Face!
