  1. What about 850632 where it's just 4 minifigures albeit with a few other pieces? And do you have a link to this 'contract' cause I've never heard of this limiting the way TLG makes their products...
  2. That doesn't make any sense at all; TLG is just choosing to give this away because it is an exclusive. They've sold off other exclusive figures in the past albeit as part of preordering games or in other promotions (eg Iron Patriot and the Target exclusive Bilbo Baggins). And about those eBay sellers - let's not judge them too harshly for selling what maybe the rest of us not. Nobody here has any idea why they're doing so: it could be just cause they're not interested in the figure, taking advantage of the figure's exclusivity, or they need the money for something more important. I'm not saying I know what their intentions are either, I just think it's a little over the line to be calling them ridiculous or scumbags.
  3. 1. You seem to be the only one here who views anything less than the display at that 2011 Brickcon as a major disappointment; I personally think I'd rather have the Nuju Metru scaled-down model or even a modular design than something I would have to pay an excessive amount of money for and probably not even touch half of it. 2. None of the Millennium Falcons were even close to $1000; UCS was $500 US retail. 3. If wave 3 is going to be the last wave, I feel like TLG would probably only focus on one larger set for Minas Tirith; hence either just featuring the Citadel or a UCS model like what Nuju Metru came up with.
  4. I feel like some or most of those people, including the $1000 guy, are just random attendees who weren't really interested into Lego, realized what they were randomly given, and just selling it online for these prices cause it has no personal meaning to them. I'm not going to criticize too much, though; it is their property now and they can do whatever they want with their Azog figures.
  5. Oh sorry, I was thinking Howard Stark.
  6. They might do that in a May-June 2014 promo for Captain America 2. It'd depend on how time he'd be featured in flashbacks, though.
  7. The seller deserves an award for easiest money made in summer 2013.
  8. Welcome to Eurobricks! Do you have a favourite NBA team?
  9. Yeah, it was mostly the dragon knights I really want from it; it's doubtful I'll be getting the larger set though. Thanks guys, I'll look between that and maybe a Chima or Star Wars set.
  10. So I'll be going on vacation to DC and Philly first week of August, which means I'll probably make a trip to a Lego Store or a retailer somewhere; I just wanna know whether it's worth spending $30 US on the 70402 Gatehouse Raid or to use that money on something else?
  11. I feel like it'd be better if they/Disney/JJ Abrams went in a different direction; the Death Star was already featured twice in the original trilogy and mentioned a few times in the prequel. After more than a decade, I just think they should come up with something new, even if they have to take something from the EU. EDIT: I suppose my point is that we don't want audiences/us watching the movie and sighing 'Thermal exhaust port again?'
  12. I'm guessing they're going to pin the price on the intricacy of the minifigures; the same sort of thing's happened with 70402.
  13. Summer 2015.
  14. Avengers 2 official name, as unveiled at SDCC tonight and on their FB page: EDIT: Added more detail in the first sentence.
  15. For some reason I haven't posted in here before (as far as I can remember), but put me down in London, Ontario, Canada.
  16. It is pretty similar to what he has in the movie: So maybe TLG just decided to cut costs and go with the same printings.
  17. Channing Tatum as Superman and Jonah Hill as Green Lantern? This is like 21 Jump Street all over again.
  18. Does anyone else think/hope that Christopher Nolan might have a change of heart and is willing to help in tying the sequel into post-TDKR canon? It would add a nice bit of continuity to the future Justice League, plus I'd like to see how JGL would do in the role.
  19. You could sort of eyeball it in the pictures above; I'd say a normal head goes up to about the top of his cheekbones.
  20. Don't You Worry Child - Swedish House Mafia
  21. Probably some plot line that PJ will have written in, where the men of Lake-town try to stop the Company from heading to Erebor so they don't wake the dragon. That seems like the most realistic basis for that set.
  22. Not a movie but in the last 2 days I watched all of Season 4 of The Office again. The part where Michael drives the car into the lake is probably my favourite moment.
  23. I think that's when the first Hobbit sets were unveiled, among other stuff; didn't follow it too close though so I'm not sure.
  24. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-23375344 That's not good.
  25. October 10-13.
