Hi there Eurbobricks members, the name's Jared

I think it's more likely we'd get a bar-like set, like when the Hobbits are eating and drinking with Strider observing them. In my opinion the movies didn't give the rest of Bree enough screen time for TLG to make a set of the same size as Lake-town.

Actually yours was the 5000th reply, which would make it the 5001st post. EDIT: At the top right of your post it even says #5001. Back on topic though, they started showing up here in Canada around mid-June but I wouldn't know about other places. Sorry I'm on my phone right now so I can't see whereabouts you live.

So according to Adam Schefter today: Whoa.
-
Ok then, maybe more along one of these: Probably a bit smaller than that too.
-
The word mature just got used in 3 consecutive posts, nbd.... And judging by this: Smaug, if brick-built, would have the length of maybe a small desk. Throw in gold pieces and some dwarven architecture and we've got a rather expensive set.

Would he be able to do that with the latter though, since it occurs before X-1 and 2? There would have to be some serious maneuvering in that case.

http://ca.ign.com/articles/2013/02/22/x-men-days-of-future-past-director-bryan-singer-says-he-will-be-repairing-things-that-went-wrong-in-the-brett-ratner-directed-x-men-last-stand It seems like Singer wasn't too happy with what Brett Ratner did with The Last Stand so I'm guessing he is using DoFP to intentionally fix things in said alternate timeline. I do agree though that it would feel strange if this were to happen, since it would basically render half or all the original trilogy + The Wolverine redundant. Hopefully it'll just work out to a self-fulfilling prophecy/time loop, which are always cool.

Thoughts on The Wolverine:

Oh ok; I just thought the Entertainment Weekly posters were the first official ones released, unless Tumblr lied about that.
-
Is that an official poster? I'm just curious cause it uses the same jacket for Logan but I could be wrong.

Battleship this morning on loan from the public library; a lot of cheesy moments but not as bad as I thought it'd be. Wolverine tonight; also my 3rd or 4th favourite X-Men movie. Ill post more thoughts on it later in the MCU thread when I get home.

Amazing and accurate design too; you should definitely try your hand at a King's Landing in the future.

He wasn't directly comparing the themes, only saying that Lotr was put in just as Harry Potter was heading out the door and thus more TLG resources were moved to that. The only 'comparison' he even made was about the sizes of those two sets. Edit: and if you really wanna this ridiculously specific, maybe next time I'll say 'blatantly criticize people for what they say' which basically amounts to the same thing when it comes to forums.
-
If you read the post that he was replying to, you'd understand that what Deskp was getting at was that the LOTR theme replaced Harry Potter by shuffling around the employees and designers from the latter to the former; in terms of size and magnitude, Helm's Deep is similar to Hogwarts in that respect (1368 to 1290, which is the 2007 incarnation). He wasn't directly saying the two of them were copies of one another, so please read the posts correctly before you blatantly criticize people.

I'd be down if I have time; any website (NFL.com, Yahoo, ESPN, etc.) would be fine with me.
-
I really hope they'll end up going with his solo movie; Ryan Reynolds' potential was hugely wasted, and I'd be totally fine with it being R-rated. If not, maybe sometime in the future....something could happen.

I think bright yellow would kind of make the audience cringe a little, since yellow is sort of a glaring colour to stare at for several hours, and it might look a little ridiculous IRL.
