  1. It can't. Would be a nice new pulley wheel though if it had 6 axle holes on it with a center axle hole.
  2. There is no "correct" way. Whatever works is the way here. When thinking of crawlers i always think of the crazy iceland offroad racing trucks:
  3. Useless without a central hole.
  4. I'm on your side. Especially with the universal sets, which are lacking nowdays. The constructio crew set comes closest nowdays to what a universal set should be like.
  5. That is very nice. Is that 3d printed? How is the finish? Do you have any close up pics? And what was the final price? Also, how is the strength of it?
  6. Because the unimog rims are much too small. The wheel hub fits in the silverchampion rims.
  7. Ah, yeah! I remember that. That is much more like it :P
  8. That is true, but the glued on tires always tend to wobble.
  9. Problem with barmans engine is, that it is too big for models of vehicles. :P
  10. VK: i know. I have such rims and tires. My issue with this is that the tires need to be glued to the rims, otherwise they will not hold. And this sucks :(
  11. Just drew up some quick sollution. This is the hub viewed sideways/top.. The ball joint in the "now" version has to spread the 2 half stud liftarms quite a bit to get into its socket. In the "?" version this would be much lower with a more pronounced "entry" into the socket
  12. You want it to resist being thrown out of the socket on both sides equally.
  13. If bending is the problem, then we can make the "entry" holes for the ball joints a bit bigger, so the balls slide in with an acceptable level of bending. The bionicle ball sockets also requite some bending of the material, so this isn't an unsolvable issue. Victor Kojenov: Those tires will not do. They have no edge that would sit in a rim. They need to be glued to a special r/c rim.
  14. That is good! That is good. Do you happen to know the inner diameter , so we can readjust the rim dimensions? Also, what kind of edge does it have? If its anything like on the tires i used for the challenger, then it's a soft edge that needs to be glued to the rim.
  15. The ball socket in the latest version is moved 1/2 stud closer to the center on each side if you haven't noticed. This makes the socket much sturdier, and if necessary it can be further strenghtened, so no worries. This is the latest version, just so you know what i'm talking about:
  16. If not moded, the cylinders by themselves move very hard and slow and act like a very stiff shock absorber.
  17. I have, see mustang front suspension :) Also, we do want the sockets to have a bit less friction than the normal bionicle sockets, because they have too much friction for suspension components.
  18. In general, yes. That one cylinder probably not though :P
