TIS A DEMON!!! This horrible winter weather from the north has left me unmoved, yet I will congratulate the extreme measures to get the top spot. Its a good thing that Owlan wasn't there! That would have altered the Historica continuum.

A 100 page story Bible! Those script writers better start tightening the reigns on the kiddie-jokes. If they plan to tell a story to that length, we may just have a competitor for longest Original Lego Story. I'm curious if the map room map (shown on the last image of the interview) is going to be the same one used in the new MMO...

Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
PenPlays replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
My Guild, I apologize for my lack of activity. Real life has me shackled. My plans are not deterred, but you will have to be patient. I intend to return at full force this June, but for now, I think its time for me to leave the realms of lurking. Expect comments from me in ALL of your challenge builds once the voting thread is up (I can't keep track of them all! ) Good luck with the little I've offered in gold, Avalonia. May you reign supreme in the end! HAIL AVALONIA! -
Over the top. Isn't your post history enough?
-
Actually, I saw that very post about preliminary Ninjago info the day it was first posted. It was actually one of the few posts on this thread that I clearly remember (because it was exciting!). No winky-emote will keep me from defending that.
-
Oh, yes. The bottom three would be wonderful at Birthday parties, or hiding in a little kid's closet until they're asleep... I will have to agree with GCF, though. The first ones are adorable, and also (obviously) the best.

The merchandise is CHI-sy indeed. Although if someone were to just snag one of those clocks for just because, I'll gladly accept them. The flashlights, however, stare deeply into my soul (especially Worriz). *shudder* EDIT: How the hell did that review person afford all of that Lego (not to mention the Skylanders, which are a complete waste of money)! His Lego "statistics" nearly match mine, for what appears to be five years of collecting, compared to my fourteen years! CRAZY!!

I never realized that Skinnet didn't have any CHI plugged. Really excited for this minifig!
-
Phenomenal. I absolutely love the way this tree looks.
-
I'm not one to say in regards to minifigure heads, but isn't the Garmalord included in the Temple of Light set? It's obvious that the Stone Army mouth guard was added for that effect, but I can understand you reasoning for wanting more of a relation to the show. For those of you that were experiencing problems with the Ninjago:The Final Battle App, an update was released well over a week ago. It saves and doesn't lag as much now.
-
Just be patient another month or so. It's not worth the eBay prices if we are nearly a month away from the release. Especially when paying full price for a Speedorz set just for a minifigure that will be released eventually.
-
Wow! Those Speedorz look great. Skinnet looks fantastic as well as Lagravis and Gorzan. Also, if it is of interest, Royal Roost comes with two CHI Weapons (Jeweled Ax and Dagger). A couple small notes. All of these sets are loop holed with the lack of shoulder armor, and those that need shoulder armor do not have CHI Crystals plugged. Also this would be the first time that a "King" is wearing silver armor (Rawzom) and the first time a king has no armor at all! What gives! Also Sky Joust looks like it only includes 6 CHI Crystals. Rawzom and Eris also have Winter wave Speedorz (Razar's and Equila's respectively). That is another shame. The worst of this bunch, although it appeared so great at first is Sky Joust. It doesn't include pieces up to par with other Speedorz sets. Royal Roost, although it leaves Lagravis' shoulder armor off, is the ticket item here (i.e. the moment you see it, BUY IT!). It is also important to note that none of the ramps included in these set have the rubber Technic bumpers. This will cause the ramps to slide once the Speedor races on it. In summary: Two are perfect, one is okay but includes a highly sought after character, and one is a complete disappointment. Will this stop me from buying Sky Joust? No, but sometimes things change from the time these pictures are taken, and I'm hoping that there will be some that will change my mind.

The hideout looks amazing!! Reminds me somewhat of the Volcano Base from Agents (don't ask me why. I don't really understand why.). Will definitely be getting it!

Where on earth are these guys selling these direct Lego Ripoffs? Are they that stupid!?! Those pics are so funny, it hurts! Absolutely no creativity (Ghima... SERIOUSLY?). I hope these guys die out, and soon! They are a disgrace, and don't deserve a single cent (or whatever coinage they accept). Pa. the. tic.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
PenPlays replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
^That's believable considering the second season started in July ending in December of 2012 when being primarily about the 2013 wave.- 4,591 replies

FAKE! Those are custom versions based off of Lego Universe concept art. Someone was selling them a while back. You can tell by the stickers on the legs and the quality of the plastic.
-
Niether of them have been released in the states yet (which is a shame). Be sure to keep coming back, though. You never know when someone will discover them.
-
Everyone thinks that their voices sound distorted after going through a camera. The Pack Tracker is quite nice, however, I would have loved for it to be bigger. That's why I'm so excited about the combat lair! Also, how did you do that final emote CM4S? I've never seen it before.
-
Those three set you mentioned are atrociously priced, hence why they haven't moved. I'd also like to make the point that Chima is no shelf warmer. Speedorz go quick and Crawley's Claw Ripper is quite the seller, the best seller of the main sets, with Lennox's Lion Attack in a close second. However, it is not at Ninjago 2012 scale yet (Toys 'r' Uses being completely liquidated besides the Skull Truck). That is because it is brand new, and not quite up to that scale. Ninjago in early 2011 was the same way, although a bit more appealing. It is because of the aftermath of 2012 that we can rarely find the Fire Mech (cheapest 2013 set/includes the red Ninja on the 2011 boxes) or the Golden Dragon (cheapest set to include the Golden Ninja (main point of interest in the 2013 sets)/ Cheapest set to include Lloyd) available (so glad I got them when I did!). Chima has not made enough of a paw-print () to get masses of children at the ages between 7-10. They intend to do that with the show I'm sure, and I must say that if they are relying on the show, that age group would be so bored watching it. It will make a 4-6 year-old laugh and an adult superfan chuckle, but other than that, the writers are writing for a far younger audience than they realize or probably anticipated. If Lego doesn't step in instead of promoting it, we may have another series die in an Exo-Force fashion (without closing the story) which is sad, especially with it's potential!

The excessive bolding and italics make your posts an eyesore. Not to mention the overuse of angry smileys. That post on "Kingdomofchima," a fan cite, stated this before the final theme's story was revealed (rather pre-mature of their part). It is sprinkled with presumptuous and false information (green CHI? This was after images of the crystals were released!). Be patient like the rest of us. Cragger's CHI-vatar begins blue because the energy just powered him. It goes red when the CHI-vatar stops growing because that is the energy peak.

Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
PenPlays replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
Mini has been busy (the not-building kind)... I fear much for my challenge VI build at the moment due to time constraints. There may be some editing to the Dawn of Ages that needs to be done... My fate for the final challenge is now very undecided.
