I have fond memories of watching Adventure Comix on the LUCL. At one point I was planning on writing a story with several of the users who's MOCs and stories I had quite the fascination for. I had next to no MOCing talent , but you were quite the inspiration. Glad to see that you have come over here to Eurobricks.

Legends of Chima 2013 (Action Figures)
PenPlays replied to DarkSurgeXL's topic in LEGO Action Figures
To be honest. A second wave of Chima seems a bit less likely now due to what appears to be poor sales. We will have to see though. We usually get leaked set names by late August/early September (and prelims between late September and early November!) When that info becomes available, we should know of Chima's fate. I'm not forecasting for it to end though. It might surprise us. Personally, ignoring the TV show, I'd love to see another wave of sets. I particularly love them all. -

Agreed. Used the iPad and beat the entire Royal Cup. Nice to see the Summer Minifigs in there.- 130 replies

I have very little praised the new Castle line. I am here now to change that. I think this is probably the series I am most excited for this Summer. I am pleased that we are back to these particular colors (Kingdoms was not bad, mind you). The sets themselves are overall gorgeous and have this feeling to them that brings me back to my kid days. Very impressed and cannot wait to get my hands on some of these sets.

I was chatting with some random kid while feeling CMF packets for Mr. Gold. After a long pause he then said: "Chima is pretty stupid." I then directed him toward the TV show, ignoring the fact that he was talking about the theme as a whole. We then geeked on about Ninjago... On a happier note. I am now the proud owner of all of the Winter/Spring Wave Chima sets! Crawley's Claw Ripper was quite the surprise! For $15, this set is just as nice as it's cheaper comrade Razcal's Raven Glider. The treads of the vehicle do not make complete contact with the ground, being that only one end actually touches the ground. The direction that the Claw Ripper is pushed also directs which way the claws are reaching. The back has the only CHI Crystal powering a vehicle that is completely contained. The midsection (cockpit) is very bland however, but the Croc head at the front makes up for it! The set includes Leonidas, complete with the silver Valious, and Crawley who is unequipped with anything but the Claw Ripper. This set also has only three stickers to apply which was very nice indeed. 8/10: Good vehicle but a bit bland in some spots.

I want one! Excellent MOC. It is both creepy and awesome that it looks like an actual bird. -

Olive pieces, gold cones, 1x1 round bley plates, 5 faced greebles and jumper plates!?! Seriously jealous right now...

Nevermind. Local Lego store is receiving their early Summer shipment next week. They said that they will put them out unless there is a date specifying it. Just got the Star Slicer. I am in love with the build, and the Blue GS Vehicle is just icing on the cake!

Although much more of a status update: I finished the 2013 wave of Ninjago! It appears that Lego decided to continue manufacturing the battlepack.

It must be that way in Poland then. Where I'm located, nearly every store I go to has at least on of every Ninjago set still available (Temple of Light is the typical exception). Most Chima sets just sit there collecting dead skin particles...errr...dust. These sets, however will never be of the same shelf warmer caliber as the Toy Story Constuct-a-Zurgs.

If this means anything... It's Toys R Us.

No. Just Toys R Us. The employees at my local Lego Store still have no idea of a release date.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 10 Discussion
PenPlays replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I just completed Series 10 (sans Goldie). They are quite an excellent (and easy to feel for) series. I will continue on my hunt for that 1 in 5000 calling me...- 1,076 replies

Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
PenPlays replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
Sounds interesting Carson! Can't wait to see it. I've started on a new freebuild (I know, I know. You've all heard this before)! Slowly getting more time for Lego, though. I'm hoping to spend a majority on as many freebuilds I can get in before June ends. -
Wow! I look back at when you first started and I can definitely see that you have greatly improved!

So how come Hero Factory doesn't rate a proper TV show?
PenPlays replied to pocketmego's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Hey if the writing style is going to get deeper into some story, I'm all for it! -
With those free CHI Battle sets going around, I have some odd feeling that this theme isn't doing as good as Lego thought...
-
It's to dumbed down to even bother sending a message. That is not the same as sending a letter to Lego complaining about the sound problems on the Season 2 DVDs of Ninjago. The latter is much, much more important.

Guilds of Historica Introduction/General Discussion Thread
PenPlays replied to I Scream Clone's topic in Guilds of Historica
You Avalonians also have an active Oregonian. I would like to say though, if we all had Skype or some similar piece of technology, meeting up would be a cinch, especially for us students. The only problem are those of us that can only write in English... That is if there is anyone with that very minor impairment. -
About the interpretive dance thingy... What the Blok did I just watch! And to answer all the trouble with Rawzom's crown, based on the image from Sky Joust and the Minifigure I have, there is no difference but the shoulder armor.

Can't believe it's Lego! Amazing!
