  1. It's the show's version of Razar's CHI Raider.
  2. Haven't heard or seen anything from the SDCC panel besides this. Looks like our Peacock friend, Dom de la Woosh from the Laval's Journey Video game, will be debuting sometime in the future, not to mention some red and black, (armored?) bird sort of character.
  3. Says page not found. EDIT: By Kirk's grave! Those are Mini ball-joints. Micro Mecha, here we come! EDIT 2: Now the link is working. EDIT 3(sorry): This is Lego's IP, not CN's. My appreciation for this theme just went up, and with the Lego Movie sets coming out, it looks like I will be visiting the Special Themes forum far more often.
  4. Several people on Brickset are thinking that the dot-of-the-i in the word "Mixels" have to do with a webcam. Clearly it is a unique logo design that includes a feature among all of the sets (i.e. Galaxy Squad's splitting ship design, and Legend of Chima's Chi dotted i), being the cartoon eye(s) each one of these creatures(?) have. It fondly reminds me very much of the old creator XPods. If this turns out to be more a CN license that will drop this series to the bottom of my list, as I like to stick with non-licensed themes. Time will tell, but I have no negative feelings towards these as of yet (I felt the same way with Galidor and Ben 10 but look how those turned out...).
  5. Too bad the writers won't be there to talk about their extreme miscalcualtions on the age demographic for the show. (The show can be good at times, but come on! Is the target audience three year olds?)
  6. White Kendo stick piece (not good with terminology) and a Trans-green Monster Fighters moonstone. Problem solved. It would also be interesting if each set with Virtruvious would include an actual green lollipop. My best guess would be a new mold to be honest, although the first of the three is likely as well.
  7. The moment I read "New-again," he was the first to come to mind. Fingers crossed!
  8. I'm a little torn. Should I be excited about the graffiti stickers, or should I be in fear of the DSS this set is going to have. To be honest, there is no way that will affect this as a definite purchase. I'm looking forward to seeing what other sets they are releasing, but why am I fearful that the winter flagship set is going to be a 5 seated Batwing... Very excited!!
  9. The mold used for the boat hull was also used in a couple other sets previously (particularly City themed Police and Fire boats) that not only boasted the ability to float, but also included a motor that could clip onto the underside.
  10. And may that be the only article of currency you spend there. In light of the news on the release date, I wish we could have known sooner (I can never trust the Toy Fair dates on the little notecards). Here's hoping that some of the (non-TRU) local stores get some Speedorz in early!
  11. It also looks like they plan on re-opening later this month with Open Beta. Hopefully there will be some new areas to explore.
  12. *Tight wearing, hippie fairies to be precise.
  13. I'm going to say it again. If we ignore what kind of sales Lego intends for Chima, Chima is selling like a normal action theme if the theme had no media besides a website and Club Magazine pages. I think we are forgetting that there were action themes before Ninjago that sold at today's rate of Chima sales and still had massive success. In the past 10 years we have had Adventurers (Orient Expedition to be specific), Alpha Team (Mission Deep Freeze), Knights Kingdom II, Exo-Force, Mars Mission, Agents, Castle (Fantasy Era), Space Police III, Power Miners, and Atlantis that lasted, or were a part of a theme that lasted for at least two years each, and were action story based and/or action themes that did not rely on extra media besides some mini-movies. Even then, those mini-movies still didn't help sales (Atlantis).
  14. That is actually really surprising! When Ninjago Season 1 aired on Cartoon Network, it premiered the first two episodes back-to-back as a preview in December. Then nearly a month and a half later, they re-ran the first episode from the preview (Rise of the Snakes) as the opener for the initial season. The second episode, the same one from the second half of the December premier, a week later. Not to mention that the first five episodes of the season were leaked onto YouTube nearly 2 months before the official premiere, meaning that those of us who had seen the leaks had to wait more than a month for a new episode. By re-running the three episode of Chima that have already aired back-to-back, the audience is then able to jump right into a new episode just after the first week. To put it simply, it could be much, much worse.
  15. Yeah. I mentioned that in my mini-review of the set many, many pages back (the same goes for Lennox's Speedor as well). It is a real shame, but hey, Worriz and Ewald alone are worth it.
  16. If I remember correctly, Legoland Deutschland got the Ninjago treatment. They received a Pilot/Season1 based Miniland. Also might I add that Chima's failure is only an assumption due to Lego's efforts to endorse it, and the lack of movement in the toy isles. Technically, Chima is selling like an ordinary action theme. It doesn't appeal to all. Ninjago had story and more life. That is why it moved off the shelves so quickly. Once Chima gets a firm footing in the media department (the MMOG is gonna be a big deal, trust me) Chima may just exceed our expectations. However, with the recent development of a Ninjago movie (not to mention sets releasing in 2014), we will see how this all plays out. Chima may get it's audience, but once Ninjago gets back on those shelves with new sets, then we will see how Chima can survive.
  17. That article talks about how Lego knows that Chima will do well. Apparently they know something we don't.
  18. The space limitation was mostly the reason why I never joined flickr, but a terabite sounds much, much better than what was originally offered. I will look into flickr sometime soon. Brickshelf is up, but getting the all important story up takes time, time that I don't have at the moment. I will have something up soon.
  19. The same goes for the the area I'm located. USA hasnt gotten the new Chima sets yet, rumor has it though (considering TRU has them) they should be available within the next 2 weeks.
  20. If one were to post up a MoC today, would that MoC's points count towards Book 2?
  21. Quite an excellent display of wildlife. I had no idea such a place existed in Kaliphlin. Very nice MOC!
  22. I've always been a fan of tropical greenery, and what you have built here, Masa, is no slouch! Excellent MOC!
  23. Being that today is the last day of Book 1 of Historica (and near, if not passed my 1 year GoH anniversary) I would like to express my thanks to you all for the most fantastic year! I will admit, that I lurked for quite some time after signing up (you can thank real life for that) but I still enjoyed reading what you all had to say, and all the stories you all have told. Many times I found myself inspired, and even though my MOCs didn't exactly meet the "Castle MOCer's Paradise" criteria this subforum exclaims, I was happy to find input and "Well done's" every time I uploaded something new. That is a true sign of a community that I look forward to be apart of during this next Book of Historica. So as I look on to this next year I have just one thing to say... HAIL AVALONIA!
  24. I can not express the sadness I feel right now. Here I had several MOCs to post here on Eurobricks, but it is just my luck! Brickshelf, my primary site for image storage, has been down for the past four days. Now these builds won't count for points for book 1. I have only a small doubt in Avalonia achieving 1st place among the builds (what with all of the 1K builds), but I think that, either way, this Guild will still shine as the place for me! HAIL AVALONIA!
  25. Chalk me up as someone who is very, very excited for this! I'd love to have some more info though, but I can wait as long as it turns out in the end.
