By the looks of that Lord Business minifig, those images on the screens are official minifigs. That would confirm Virtruvius then!- 2,626 replies

Previous part: Petraean Market Dawn of Ages Chapter 1: Breaking from Innocence, Part 4: The Letters This takes place just during Challenge VI. It's sunset in the Scalous Forrests of Lesser Burrium. The Keeper of the Peace, Drinnian, has finally settled in (what he calls) his palace, Scalous Mound. The ancient Colosseum was once a place of fantastic architecture where great battles took place. Once the dark times overcame Avalonia, a dragon inhabited the Colosseum as its den, but after sometime, the dragon passed. Scalous Mound's lesser supported structure decayed, but what remains is a brick built beauty unlike anyone has ever seen. In its halls, Drinnian walks out of the sunset... "A letter from Albion," Drinnian thought as he glanced over his mail. "Finally! A letter from Owlan!" he said aloud." Drinnian removed the Varlyrian wax seal on the letter from his dear friend. It read: Dearest Drinnian, I would like to start by saying that for a while I was very homesick. I miss you and Malivan dearly and I cannot express that enough. I'm sorry I didn't fulfill my promise of writing you a letter once I was accepted into Petraea University. The weather was exceedingly scorching the day I entered through the East Gate, but I was pleased to find my dorm cool. On my first day of learning, I found myself exceedingly bored. More of my memories came back to me, and I had discovered that most of the classes I decided to take, I had already been through from the time I was younger. So naturally I went into the vast library they had, it was there that the homesickness stopped, I had found what I had come looking for, it was a Book of the Symbols of Old and in its pages, I found the same symbol that is engraved on the pendant my father gave me. It means: The Heart, the center of life and the name of the part of the conscience that cares for others. In that I learned that my father had never truly left me. He left me this pendant to remember him by, because he knew we would never meet again, but somehow, he knew that I would need to find comfort in him. My homesickness was gone because I felt that I had a friend with me now. My tears of joy are staining the page as I write this. I know you'll pardon that, but my apologies if something gets smeared. I was very thankful that Lord Deraim offered this scholarship to me after hearing of my wishes to learn. That night was quite an eye opener, as I got to see how a Kaliphlin Lord lived. Anyway, I decided that the University wasn't for me. On my way to the seaport, I ran into a very well groomed sailor. Apparently he came from Varlyrio, to pick up some goods. He said that I looked like I was in the need of some adventure, and that the new Guild would be a perfect place to start. Once we docked in Varlyrio, he couldn't have been more correct. I had been starving since and I decided to eat at the nearest place I could find. The Red Inn was my choice of dining, but the most peculiar thing happened. I was mistaken for an Avalonian Lord, and I was treated to lodgings and massive luxurious meals. I decided to play along, but this wasn't the noble life I had been expecting. I found my being force-fed was a nightmare, and the frilly bedding and night clothes were the itchiest clothes I had ever worn. The sights however were far worth it. The food there was unlike that of even the finest in coastal cuisine. The ship that this letter will be sailing on was sent out three days before my planned departure. So, relatively three days from the time you receive this letter, I hope to be home. It is nice to know that the Mystic Sanctums have been successful in preventing deaths at the hands of the Elementals, but I have heard of the terrors of the Corrupt Hand's uprisings, and that several Mystic Sanctums were pillaged due to their resistance of light magic. I have no doubt that Scalous Mound is a Mystic Sanctum, and I can be sure that Denitor is one as well. Wherever you are or wherever you go, stay withing these Sanctums. The man count in these areas will increase the army sizes thus giving them a chance against the Hand. I'm sure you knew that, though. Take care in where you travel, and by all means be safe. Your close friend, Owlan "That worrisome boy!" Drinnian smiled. "Safe travels friend. I'll be safe..." Drinnian opened his other letter. His eyes widened at the sight of the Herald of Albion. It read: Lords and Peace Keepers of Avalonia, Your armies are hereby summoned to Albion for the incoming battle against the Corrupt Hand unless previously pardoned by my name. If you do not comply, punishment is to be issued. This battle is perceived to be massive and will require many hands. May the gods of Historica have mercy on us as we enter into this grave time. The Pearl City must not fall! Lord Artorious Rex Drinnian lowered the letter an stared out into Scalous Forrest. "...I promise." * And so ends the part of the story taking place during the first Book of Historica. Here is a photo of the full MOC, Scalous Arches. This chapter was to, more or less, tie all the rest of my MOCs for GoH into the Dawn of Ages. C&C is always welcome! Next Chapter: The Cornovaria Chronicles

Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
PenPlays replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
By the looks of it. Both maps on the first page are the most recent, but they were made at a time when you were inactive in GoH. All you have to decide now is where and it's official! If you were to ever come with your armies, the main vein of Avalonia waters will take you straight to us. Hopefully that day will not arrive, and the Lesser will remain safe. EDIT: I have a new freebuild up! This will tie in some of my previous MOCs as well as add a new one to the list. You can find it here. -
Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
PenPlays replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
Glad to see that you accepted my re-invite! We need to discuss our county, Burrium. After some miscommunication I ended up choosing that name and settling in east Avalonia, before I discovered that you already claimed the name and had already settled in another part of Avalonia. Your choice in location hasn't been officially added to the map, so if you would like to stay in the Burrium that is on the map, you will remain as Earl of Burrium, you'll just have to get to know the neighbors. However, I was also thinking that (and thanks to a suggestion from SkaForHire in this thread) we could also have a Greater and a Lesser Burrium. We could establish them as Twin Counties. Based on your choice of location (thanks to DaMaximus for sharing that info with me in the same above thread) yours would be the Greater Burrium (trade is much stronger in coastal towns) and mine the Lesser. Personally, I like that latter choice being that it gives each of us our own land to work with, without the hassle of changing names, but I will leave the decision to you. In the case of the latter choice, you would be the Earl of both Burriums. -
That tree is absolutely stunning!! Fantastic MOC. You've definitely earned your title!
-
I am very impressed by the stonework on the walls and towers! Maybe you should come back to the Guilds of Historica? As a citizen of Burrium, I can tell you that your land has migrated, and there is a new capital, but your position as Earl hasn't been voided. All of us Avalonians would love to see you return!

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like

Sorry for not finding the original source, but according to this post on tfw2005, those of us in North America will be getting quite a collection of 2000's Hasbro classics (re-)released on DVD! Here is a mirror of the press release featured in the link above: Shout! Factory and Hasbro Studios have announced a new distribution agreement to bring a library of nine animated adventure movie and pop culture television hits to the home entertainment marketplace in the U.S and Canada. This multi-year, multi-property alliance provides Shout! Factory exclusive rights to My Little Pony animated family adventures My Little Pony: The Princess Promenade, My Little Pony: A Very Minty Christmas, My Little Pony: Runaway Rainbow, My Little Pony: Dancing in the Clouds, My Little Pony: Friends are Never Far Away. The deal also includes TV properties Transformers Animated (2007-2009 TV series), Transformers: Armada (2002 TV series), Transformers: Energon (2004 TV series), and Transformers: Cybertron (2005 TV series). I'm not much of a brony myself, and I have been dying to get a complete collection of the Unicron Trilogy, but Transformers Animated stands out as the biggie here, for me. This may just be the release of the third season of TFA that we Transformer fans have been waiting for! I for one am ecstatic and I cannot wait for some more information. -
The site hasn't updated with the next episode yet. It looks like we'll have to wait until next week.
-
For the record, it didn't air in my area. I just happened to stumble upon it while watching Anime. If the next episode after the 'Greatest Race Ever' shows up tonight, I'll make sure you all know.

The Historica City Guide (Chapter II Edition)

Or a migration due to some sort of circumstance. Here's hoping that a spark ignites in him to return! It would be nice to have another builder of this skill on the Avalonian Book II frontlines. -
The Historica City Guide (Chapter II Edition)
PenPlays replied to Maxim I's topic in Guilds of Historica
Ah yes, that. Tells you how much I've been keeping track of names. And then of course a story goes through changes in its early stages. I was suggested the name Burrium without any knowledge that Lord Silvius Flamecius even existed. Now that I think about it. A simple edit and Flamecius is back in command. Again with a story that is in a development stage (all stories are until they are complete), he can still be in command and that wouldn't change anything. And here I thought I had Burrium all to myself. EDIT: Sorry to be picky again, but Lord Flamecius is misspelled on the first page. He could also use a first name there too (I seriously don't know why I'm so particular about this kind of stuff). -
... Must not get my hopes up... Must not get my hopes up... I cannot wait for pictures now!
-
This is a very nice MOC, and it seems that Lord Sinister is enjoying being the pilot. I would like you to know, though, that Steampunk actually belongs in the Sci-fi forum, so don't be alarmed if a mod moves it there!

Thanks so much for the pictures! These builds look absolutely stunning and very show accurate. Wish I could see it in person!

The Historica City Guide (Chapter II Edition)
PenPlays replied to Maxim I's topic in Guilds of Historica
I hate to be picky, but Owlan isn't the Lord of Burrium. He is simply a citizen of the County. Lord Feridor is the Lord of Burrium. I'm also curious, where did Regis Fort come from (I forget if I ever said anything about the capitol building's name )? If you wish to highlight the capital city, Damaximus, the City is called Denitor. -
I see that you have strong disinterest in this theme, and I respect that, but to be quite honest, if that is the truth, than why do you come to tell us that? If you do not like this theme, than it may be best to avoid this thread, and other Chima threads, unless you have something truly constructive to add to the conversation at hand, rather than "I don't like this theme," or, "I still don't like this theme," like you have in the TV show's thread. We get it, and there is no need to repeat yourself.

Absolutely stunning!! I wouldn't have angled the torso sides, though, but it is a very minor nitpick on my part.

The Historica City Guide (Chapter II Edition)
PenPlays replied to Maxim I's topic in Guilds of Historica
A weapon of some sort would work quite nicely (preferably a battle axe or some sort of sword). You can also come up with your own ornate symbol that represents you. My herald is complete! Burrium, the county of Avalonia has found hope in the flame for centuries, and it hopes that, with this herald, the warmth of the flame will bring peace to the lands! Might I suggest this photo to go along with it on the first post? -

SatAM? That series sparked one of the best comic books I have ever read, and continue to read, for that matter (or was it vise versa?). That show has earned my respect as the best show Sonic the Hedgehog has to offer, and I find myself regretting that that show ended when it did! Sonic X comes in at a close second, only because of its heavy human interaction. Sonic Underground was a very different show for Sonic, as it was an attempt to show off Sonic's Family (which later goes unacknowledged by future writers for the shows and games). AoStH (Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog) was too much of a wacky '90s cartoon for me to fully enjoy it, but most of the main characters live on in the comic books which shows that it had far better potential than the previous two shows I mentioned. I know you were just talking about SatAM, but you really can't talk about one Sonic the Hedgehog Cartoon without talking about the others . EDIT: Nice username by the way! Have any of you watched that new anime webseries called RWBY? It has some major potential and I expect great things to come. You can find the amazing trailers and the first five episodes here. -
Or you could have clicked the number 2 or 3 buttons above the video and watched it for free.
-
I was more or less asking if anyone had seen any.
-
I'm not asking for any links, or pics, but can someone confirm that set images have been leaked for Chima (or Ninjago for that matter)?
-
For those confused, Its called the Greatest Race Ever (really creative ) and it can be found here. For the record, I have no idea how this hit the internet.
-
Indeed. I'm glad to see the episodes actually getting less childish.
