Now, what have we got here...
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks a lot for the positive feedback! Coming! Acceptable alliteration, thanks! Under the hat? Hmm. Hair, I guess... No, that is not where the story is going Monkey? Who's mentioned a monkey? The jail is my pirate version of the current set. I enjoyed preparing that aspect of the story.- 11 replies

[Voiceover] August 616. Having run into a trap set up by the evil pirate Gisberth the "Black Moustache" has to surrender: Gisberth: Now, what have we got here ... the infamous Black Moustache. Let us see who is the man behind that false beard! Gisberth: As I would have guessed - Colonel Brickinson of Eslandola. Gisberth: So we found out what you did. And you will surely tell us why you did it. In the meantime, until we hear your tale, we have a nice place where you can stay. And you can leave your hat on. And so Colonel Brickinson was imprisoned by Gisberth and his men with no hope to escape. The story of the Black Moustache seems to have come to a sudden ending... Gisberth: Muwahahaha! His evil crew: Muwahahaha! [second Speaker] Brickinson has been captured by the evil pirate Gisberth! [First Speaker] We must take action at once. Get in touch with our new friends. [second Speaker] I will. [First Speaker] And it may be time for you to set out on a journey. No time to lose. Here is the Simian-Plan storyline: 1 MRCA Result April & May: Sunk and Taken by Pirates 2 Has Brickinson gone mad? 3 The End of a Pirate 4 Visiting a Pirate Island 5 A Dream Within A Dream 6 Pirate Hunter King Archibald 7 Woe is me! 8 The Black Moustache and his Green Flying Dutchman 9 ... but I have signed the contract .... 10 Now, what have we got here ... C&C welcome!

Another lovely Saturday morning. Shots firing, sabers clinking, blood is splashing... Captain Cookie was beaten. He had lost his blade and his cookie, had stumbled backwards and was now leaning against a box of ammunition. His men were in terror or dead. Time seemed to stand still for a second. "Got you, Captain Cookie" the "Black Moustache" shouted. "Now you will pay for your sins!" "That ain't workin', mate" Captain Cookie replied, producing a scroll. "Well, what is that about?" the Black Moustache inquired. "Listen, mate, you come here uninvited but victorious and all that. Pretty cool stuff, I must admit, but I have signed the contract, dude!" "Let me see." The Black Moustache took the scroll and read through it carefully, quietly murmuring under his breath. ... hereby I swear by the gods and my mother's beard .... not to attack banana carrying ships ... bla bla bla .... ... not to interfere in any action or undertaking that involveth monkeys .... la de da .... pay upfront reparation sum of five hundred gold ... ... and to clean up my cabin every Friday... ... signed Captain Cookie The scene had all fallen silent by the time the Black Moustache came to the end of the scroll. Everyone was staring at him. The Black Moustache seemed to turn red under his moustache. "Well, then... you have already signed the contract, Sir... err... ....sorry for the inconvenience. We'll be going in a minute then... no hard feelings.... have a nice day." He called his men and turned to leave. Captain Cookie, gathering the remains of his crew, heaved a sigh of relief. He had survived unlike many of his fellow pirates. It had been a good idea to listen to that fortune teller he had met after the ball in Pontelli. Good idea, kind of realistic! -
Argh - don't do this! I mean, never send two missiles simultaneously. They might destroy each other. Send one after the other!

A Schooner from Know Your Pieces: a Flickr Find
Captain Braunsfeld replied to kurigan's topic in Pirate MOCs
It does not look like LEGO at first glance but that is obviously due to sheer size and elegance of the model! -
Shape is fine - I am struggling a bit with the colours. Is that purple and tan or grey and tan? (I hope it is grey but it looks very purplish...)

[MOC] Baker Street 221 B (Holmes & Watson)
Captain Braunsfeld replied to ArchitectureFan's topic in LEGO Town
Sooo many details squeezed into those little rooms - excellent! I like Sherlock too! -
Right, it is Thanks - yes, I did not point out that detail and you can only see it on the 4th pic. I was wondering whether "The Black Moustache" would be able to get away in time... Thanks! Yepp, I had actually planned to use black and orange bricks to create an explosion - but suddenly those grass/bush pieces seemed to be perfect! Thanks - the story is almost writing itself . (And I liked that end dialogue too! )

Thanks - well, this is my approach to "custom hull". And the brick built sails seem to be the only way for me to get to decent sails/rigging. I can only recommend that battle pack (which is often sold out). The Ninjago pirates are great! Thanks - well it is called "green" because of the gallion: the green dutchman (coming from Spongebob). You will notice that monkeys shy away from dangerous missions. They seem to have their minions... Thanks a lot, more to come about "The Black Moustache"!
