Ok - the flag is great, isn't it? The musketeer went down to the pier to wait for a boat...

Thanks - yes, I had something nostalgic in mind.

[COR - Jul FB3] Fishmonger's Stall, Mooreton Bay
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Well done, everything in this MOC has turned out well. And I always liked the word "fishmonger" (being a non-native speaker)- 6 replies

What a beauty - an excellent creation of yours. The sails are perfect. They must have taken a long time to complete. -
The Unicorn Hath Been Discovered
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
George da Pontelli has argued that the spider had been dead for a few days but Alberto was not willing to agree Yes, Sir, to promote further scientific experiments, Alberto da Pontelli is willing to sell a few grams of grounded unicorn horn (GUH). Hmm. It is just a house, isn't it? Alberto has only used it for a few days to present the unicorn. Well, that may be it: it is used for education purposes. That's ok to me.- 20 replies

[COR - FB2 jul] Lapzwanzer's Finest Chocolates
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Tomsche's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great, I am getting hungry again -
Ok, I should have added another minifig Good idea, but not for this version. This might look better with non-transparent bricks. Which is a challenge for me as I don't have enough blue plates...

Hello, I have built a small outpost and played around with "how to do the water" for some time. So, here I present the version with a "clean" baseplate: So, in a way, the studs are the waves. The musketeer seems to be on an urgent mission... C&C welcome!

Has Brickinson gone mad?

Thanks - as to his plans, I am not envisioning such a story. Reality beats any storyteller these days...- 19 replies

The Unicorn Hath Been Discovered
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
A living example - that would be fantastic. Alberto is already planning his expedition! Dear John, we have carried out the spider experiment as you had described. And it worked! I mean the spider has now remained in the circle for 5 days. It could be that it is scared of George though he is only eating bananas. That means the unicorn is real. Fantastic. I need to write this down for my next paper. Your friend and scientist fellow Alberto da Pontelli- 20 replies

Has Brickinson gone mad?
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
... You've certainly shocked the monkey with your elaborate comment. Not everybody can be banging on the bongos like a chimpanzee (which ain't working). There was a woman in the jungle. And a monkey on a tree. But me and my monkey were in search of the sun. Which makes 5 song references with a monkey in them. (But google will help you, as usual )- 19 replies

To John Hawksbrugh t'was great meeting you and I am happy to read that you have turned rich. I have currently stopped my phlogiston experiments as I have discovered the skeleton of a unicorn which I am studying now. And I will not embrace Colonel Brickinson. He is looking so grim, even grimmer these days. Must be the grimmest colonel I have ever seen. Seen, not hugged. Your friend Alberto da Pontelli and George

Has Brickinson gone mad?
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Ok, thanks. Preparations for next builds might take while, though. Waves ... the everlasting challenge for a lego builder. Thanks, Sir! Me too It is all very subjective. I need to take a pic with a version with a plain baseplate. Looks good, doesn't it? Thanks. Who would think of monkeys in that conversation? Ok... seems like I need to get my story going- 19 replies

The end bit may give you some associations if you are familiar with the works of Isaac Asimov. Thanks. I tried to stick to the style that I have used for the previous MRCAs (MCRAs?). Yes, the first build is a bit simplistic. Initially I even thought of just putting on the empty blue baseplate... (seems like 17 bricks ) The S-plan is an idea that struck me yesterday and that will give me a decent storyline for many follow-up MOCs.

The Unicorn Hath Been Discovered
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Right, the house may not fit 100% - but it looks good! Feel free to use one of the pictures to license this as your house in Pontelli. Really? I have heard rumours that Alberto da Pontelli is planning an expedition to the mountains to search for dragon skeletons! Yeah, right. We are Eslandoleans. So we will sell it!- 20 replies
