  1. What a nice coincidence. One of my upcoming MOCs will be featuring this katamaran. You can already see it on Flickr
  2. Finding Luisa - well, the portrait seems to match the first princess. But then the judge's daughter should not wear a crown ... So it had to be number three. Yes, one is coming from a place long time ago and far far away I think I'll leave that to Season No. 2 Well, if you are consumed by a game of darts, would you be ready to defend yourselves? (With your sabers in a barrel ten yards away from you? )
  3. I think I need to change the background sometime.... And I hope that I have saved the fleet! Thanks a lot, Sir!
  4. Thanks to hear that you are a fan of my story too Shark taming? That is usually a deadly affair...
  5. Thanks - I have to disassemble many of my builds but I have kept this one as the cave just looks great. I am very happy about the colour scheme and overall shape. The story is writing itself Good idea to add curved slopes. There are actually a few in there (mostly on top of the cave). And, yes, I am rushing to tell the story. I would not like the idea of returning to this story after half a year or so. So I am trying to have one or two story parts already shot when this is posted, while I am working on the following story parts.
  6. The story so far: Brickinson's trial had revealed that Major Mistaek was the evil pirate Gisberth in disguise. And the evil pirates had kidnapped the judge's daughter, Luisa. But where is Luisa now? And now: Luckily, a map was found on the body of Gisberth that disclosed the location of a secret pirate hideout not too far away from Pontelli - a place called Rockerly Cast. Everyone assumed that Luisa would be found there. Quickly a rescue party was assembled to free the hostage - led by the fearless Major Boothroyd - and accompanied by the Mayor of Pontelli & George and Brickinson's female first mate. "Look, Major", the first mate whispered. "A secret cave!" Slowly she sneaked into the cave. ("Constant vigilance" she thought to herself) Inside the cave, the pirates were immersed in their game of darts. When the rescue party stormed the cave the villains surrendered immediately. But it was then when the real trouble began: There were three hostages, not one. Da Pontelli moved forward, waving the portrait of Luisa. Two of the captives were found to be kidnapped princesses (unbelievable, considering the attire), but number three turned out to be Luisa. Hooray! Major Boothroyd and his men took the pirates to the gallows. And where is Brickinson? [second Speaker] Trouble at the mill, Sir. [First Speaker] That makes me think of something. Get the Oleon Inquisition started. Here is the Simian-Plan storyline: 1 MRCA Result April & May: Sunk and Taken by Pirates 2 Has Brickinson gone mad? 3 The End of a Pirate 4 Visiting a Pirate Island 5 A Dream Within A Dream 6 Pirate Hunter King Archibald 7 Woe is me! 8 The Black Moustache and his Green Flying Dutchman 9 ... but I have signed the contract .... 10 Now, what have we got here ... 11 The Great Escape 12 Please don't dive .... 13 The Brickinson Case 14 Island in the Sun I tried this tile-approach for the waves and find it aesthetically pleasing, especially on the last picture. That means you will see it over and over again in the upcoming MOCs... C&C Welcome - have a nice weekend!
  7. Quite nice - is that a fire pond or a pool beside that building?
  8. Great idea - I have included that in the post! a "hero-of-all-trades" and you will - I hope the island will match your expectations.
  9. Thank you! Yepp, banana rum it is this time. And you will see how well Brickinson is doing. Here.
  10. The problem is, not all of them are loyal Eslandolean citizens ... Thanks Yes, they are fine (but focus is on the scene with those shouting people).
  11. Ok, you caught me on this one. Originally I just wanted to do one picture/one shot. Then my wife persuaded me to include some more action. But, of course, they are firing two broadsides per minute We'll see - I hope that all of the treasure fleet will make it home! Yepp, I had fun with that
  12. That seems to have gone well for the pirates - but we all know that this is just an unrealistic alternative universe As I have shown, the pirates have been defeated
  13. Well that is all part of that S-Plan ... things that find their way into your head! (But of course I have that song in my head all the time too!)
  14. Our hero, Colonel Brickinson was lost at sea and since we have not ... Wait! I can see him! Just a tiny figure swimming in the wild wild ocean. Brickinson was using his last strength to keep afloat.. Things could have been so easy if that shark had not decided to dive... He had seen an island in the sun distance and he was doubling his efforts to get there. When he would be there, he would sing in praise of the shining sand. And while he was struggling he had an idea: why not try backstroke? That turned out to be much easier - and (for the first time) we can see our hero smiling. In a strange vision that came to him, Brickinson saw himself as winner of an international swimming contest: [second Speaker] Brickinson has almost made it to the island. [First Speaker] Very good. That gives us new possibilities. [second Speaker] What do you have in mind? [First Speaker] You will see, my young padawan, you will see. [second Speaker] Ok. See I will. 13 The Brickinson Case 14 Island in the Sun So that has resolved one cliffhanger (at least to some part) Stay tuned - C&C welcome!
  15. For King and Country! (Seems I have to build more war ships...)
  16. Ok, I have used the form. With all of these forms and stuff this should be "Germanbricks"
  17. My storyline has been frontpaged - great - thanks a lot! Thanks - pity it is only an "interior" MOC. When I did the glass windows I had the differently coloured glass windows of "La Sagrada Familia" in mind (which, of course, looks completely different) I'll try! Thanks - it is an honour to be on the frontpage! Regarding the story: What do you want to see next? The search for the judge's daughter or what has happened to Brickinson in the meantime?
  18. I think that false-beard stuff is now exhausted. Feel free to ignore the houses, they are just background. Thank you! I am very happy about the way the water worked out. I've actually tried this on another MOC (that is still to be posted) and I found this aesthetically pleasing. I've been working on a larger harbour for years - and now I think I have to scrap it and start it all over again. Thank you, unknown fellow eurobricker. That makes me think I should have hid some spy in a barrel in the background with just the head peeping out. Ok, next time
  19. That is easy, they just write WAISTSAIHTTB Thanks - they really fit together but it is a delicate affair. Hence that "tooth-brick" to hide those tricks And they allow for a large fleet!
  20. Thanks - I plan to license the courtroom. I am quite happy with it. It is just the evil guys that come to a bitter end. At least I hope so. We don't know what has happened to Colonel Brickinson in the meantime.... Thanks for the kind comment. And it is probably enough with these false beards now Questions you may ask yourselves include: How will they find the judge's daughter when they have already slayed the pirate?
  21. Some more chapters of the story: ... but I have signed the contract … Now, what have we got here… The Great Escape Please don't dive… The Brickinson Case
