  1. Thanks - - I have no use for such a ghost ship. So my options are: sell it / turn it into something I can use ... You have a good point there. Especially when I saw the pictures in comparison I thought that the modified version is a bit too short. The question is whether I have one or two additional hull pieces ... And as for the Silent Mary as the ghost ship she is supposed to be: that is fine. Great adaptation from the movie (which still has to be released...)
  2. C&C needed? Well, ok then. Quite nice. Not only round but also the gray wall syndrome was perfectly avoided. Vines are good. I've never done them but maybe I should. And I like the door (does it open?)
  3. thank you, sir. Very kind comment. Good to get positive feedback from another GoH veteran Thanks!
  4. High praise, thanks You seem to like the MOC for the same reasons as me AndHigh praise, thanks You seem to like the MOC for the same reasons as me Still I had hoped that this castle would bring me on the brothers brick site... Sadly they don't seem to like my creations
  5. Well, there is a new ship out by TLG, isn't it? The "Silent Mary" it seems. Seems to be well designed to look like the ship in the movie - still I felt intrigued to apply some modifications. Part 1 = MOD1 The masts were a bit too short for my taste. But still I had a ship that was not really usable for BoBS or other purposes. So I tried to turn her into a "real ship": Part 2 = MOD 2 I had actually started working on the hull with a different goal in mind - but then I acquired the SM and I found that she has some interesting elements (the castle towers, the sheer amount of gold, the guns/cannons (Kurrigan, help me out, is it "guns" or "cannons"?)) which I wanted to keep. Now I have named her "Cookie's Delight" and have used her as a starting point for a new storyline on BoBS. I have applied some new building techniques (that is, "new" for me) some of which turn the model into something quite fragile But these techniques allow for strange angles, etc. And the model is modular... The Future: The sails need some repairs, the captain's cabin is not done (there are actually two right now). The guns/cannons should be retraceable (is that the right term?). And a different gallion? Let's see. C&C welcome
  6. That would be good to have a "way out" for Steen Larsson. And I am still quite ashamed that my sigfig is smiling while carrying Steen's body. Must be a smile of despair....
  7. I expect the fish to come of this scene as the winner...
  8. Those green waters ... sigh ... just lovely!
  9. A great guy with a great laboratory!
  10. An apple allergy? Quite a modern ending to the story!
  11. Fantastic series of builds, each one beautifully crafted. Quite impressive! This could be a winner!
  12. Excellent, fine story, accompanied by the finest of MOCs - and many of them. I like this very much, especially the notion of a united Historica.
  13. [The Secret of the 8 Provinces - Prelude] "Well, thanks for bringing me that exquisite Norwegian Blue. I cannot say how happy I am to be in the possession of such a fine parrot. My previous one has gone to meet its maker. How can I return your favour, Lady De Summer?" "My dear Captain, a good story would do. How, for instance, did you acquire your new ship?" "The Delight?" "Yes, Captain." "Well, Mylady, you might remember that infamous poker night in the Red Herring." "You mean the night, when that strange Marquis from Olean won such a lot of gold? I have heard rumours about that. Some people said something about the true identity of the Marquis. Like that he was actually from Mardier." "Well, it was a fantastic night because after he had won so much I challenged the Marquis for a final round..." "... it was tough. The Marquis had three of a kind - but I beat him with a full house. And as I had already won all of his gold, he offered me his ship. He said, she would be a fine, seaworthy lady, she would just need some minor repairs of the sails." "And I thought 'never look a gift horse in the mouth'." "This ship is making me immensly proud. Every detail is golden." "And the cabin is impressive too", Lady De Summer replied. "And so I named her 'Cookie's Delight'" "Fabulous, fabulous. I have another question, my dear Captain." "Out with it!" "This model of a reddish ship..." "The 8 Provinces?" "Yes, Captain, where and how did you get it?" "Oh, Mylady, that is a longer story. And more exciting." "I am all ears." [End of prelude] I am starting a new storyline here. And I managed to turn the "Silent Mary" into something more operable... C&C welcome!
  14. Quite nice indeed!
  15. That is a great take on that great classic set. The crane is incredibly impressive! Meine Verehrung.
  16. That is an excellent collaboration guys! I am impressed by quality and variations of style.
  17. Thanks for this positive feedback. And for noticing the curtains
  18. Thanks - as for the story I was trying to develop something entertaining, yet serious enough to allow the GoH storyline to continue from thereon. (thereon?) Thanks - I did not plan to have a micro when I designed the macro camel. And I am also happy how well it matches
  19. Ok, but there is some point at which the headline says more than the MOC...
  20. Thanks for spotting the lantern. I was almost about to add an even bigger one (you know, I like those huge ship lanterns). I am quite happy with the wave. It is the first time that I have tried to build something like this.
  21. Another Brickwall gone... excellent pictures, excellent build. The action comes across quite well
  22. I don't know why these Bee-Guys keep appearing, but I appreciate the continuation of the story of brickwalls...
  23. That custom torso has really turned out well. Would you come over and paint some more for me? (I have never thought of painting the torsos, I am just playing around with the bicornes and tricornes)
