  1. That's not a bad idea - building an ice cream shop in a cold place so you don't need freezers ! Well done on the snowscaping too.
  2. The autumn colours work well here!
  3. I'm building an entry now, looking forward to putting a few ideas into it ! I like the straightforward nature of this challenge, thanks for hosting it.
  4. I daresay those big pieces look hard to implement into a moc, but they suit this very well!
  5. Information classified.
  6. Really attractive minifigures and swamp landscape The story complements all the details well.
  7. I just view my collection almost solely as a group of parts that can form MOCs (although I do assign a bit of sentimental value to my childhood sets). I can see the appeal of just collecting Lego for display or profit, but I don't find set displays very interesting and they take up a lot of physical space as well.
  8. Well done, this looks a lot sturdier and I like the black roofs
  9. Great builds cap! I have to admit that most of the Guilds of historia lore goes over my head, but I still appreciate some quality MOCs and stories, especially that headlight usage on the last one (a technique that is super rare to see).
  10. So much colour and different scenes going on, just what I like to see in a MOC Looks like these guys know how to party.
  11. They're really accurate OP! I really should get around to watching Game of Thrones
  12. Also I have some more pics from the Brickshelf gallery (won't be public yet so I will deeplink them)
  13. Thankyou very much everyone for the comments and feedback Glad you guys like it! I built it pretty slowly and didn't really keep track of most pieces, but a bricklink order of 400 1x2s only made up a small part of the black ! I hope to do so, It's the best use I can find for all my black bricks Indeed, I did consider this while building. After some painstaking decision-making I decided to bring the wall up as I preferred the fuller look that it gave. Thanks It was considerably bigger than all my past mocs and probably took the most time (maybe about the same time as my Nobleman's Manor). It's worth having a try Not a lot of people actually seem to remake sets but there are some stunning ones out there.
  14. Features a working drawbridge and removable back corner to allow access to dungeon, armoury and wall walkways. I'll probably add some more pics to a brickshelf folder soon™.
  15. Looks like a cheerful scene, well done! I'll have to get myself some droid arms, they seem so versatile.
  16. Ebay is probably your best bet if you're just starting in castle. I've gotten some great deals on there like a whole bunch of dark forestmen for a fraction of their bricklink price. Sets are usually pretty good but I don't like the recent castle sets much for various reasons. Bricklink is better for people with larger collections who have specific purchases in mind (ie they don't want to buy what they already have).
  17. I like the posing - looks like a slaughter!!
  18. Beautiful! I love that waterfall technique and all the scenes going on ! Looks like one guys pretty desperate for some grog
  19. Beautiful! That black and white trim on the back seems quite unique.
  20. Really aesthetic build here, the use of the "new" colours with splashes of classic colours works well. Some clever parts usage as well on the mace, fence and viewing stand.
  21. awesome ! theres so many too
  22. Awesome, looks like a very rowdy lot!
