  1. That combination of the war room and microscale plan is really clever! And the different hairpieces fit well with the people
  2. The last few remaining Forestmen hold a beach-side fortress against the forces of evil, but their arrow stocks fall steadily, along with their physical capacity for battle...
  3. I saw this in there too, really like the design except the wheels.
  4. Awesome posing and some nice parts usage use of the different heads for expressions is exceptional
  5. Well guys and gals its time for me to start sorting my castle minifigs (most of my figs except the ones in old random sets on display) http://imgur.com/FBCnYyt And this is my attempt to make any form of progress http://imgur.com/EbHFyVf Im pretty sure keeping all the heads separate is a good idea, but is anyone for/against storing legs with torsos?
  6. Awesome rock overhang! Wedges etc also look great
  7. As a castle fan but not really LOTR, I only bought the urak-hai army to get a little bit of variety in my castle minifigs. Here in Australia, buying licensed themes is pretty expensive combined with our country specfic markup. The problem I have isnt really the price as such, but rather the fact that I can get a whole lot more Lego through bricklink, ebay etc, so there is barely any incentive for me to buy LOTR or star wars sets. Im only really interested in making my own stuff, as opposed to collecting sets/figs.
  8. I like how you've managed to use an unpopular piece (the big shield) to blend in with the rest - The use of consistant dark green looks great
  9. Avoid using pocket knives, scissors etc to seperate pieces. If you dont have two of these, I highly recommend getting some: https://encrypted-tb...DsN5xu_VNTm14Ug
  10. Awesome build - the stairs are exceptional and the cross section in general
  11. Hey there, I have not had any problems just storing pieces loose in drawers like that (after many years). In my opinion sun damage is more of a concern, especially for white and light grey parts. Lego should only get scratched if there is a fair amount of pressure rubbing it against a surface. The only scratches I have is on the blue bricks in this moc of mine, and then again it only shows up in the right light.
  12. Awesome techniques !
  13. Hey Eurobricker's I just finished a small creation and thought i'd share it on here, I tried to focus on my photo editing and creative use of parts Cheers
  14. I thought at first glance that instrument was something premade out of the collectable minifig series! Well done
  15. awesome detail and techniques ;)
  16. Excellent use of those trans pieces for lava and the scepter
  17. Great dragon! I love how you have created the rippling muscle effect on the limbs and tail.
  18. Thanks for the feedback guys! Yeah, I decided to specialise my collection primarily into the castle/historical theme because that is the kind of MOC I plan to build in the future. I look on with interest at Star wars and WW2 creations as well though
  19. Hey Eurobrick'ers After seeing all of the great collectable figure series, I couldn't help buying at least the historic themed people! And this led me to build these stands to show them off, although I had to fill the gaps with some of my other figures. I also learnt how hard it is to photograph black lego
  20. Hey Eurobrick'ers I recently celebrated a big order of grey bricks by building this very simple keep - using a combination of old and new styles. I have also created a Flickr account to present the 'cover' pictures of all my creations. All the additional photos will be stored on Brickshelf.
  21. brilliant usage of the switch handle part for arrows in the ground!
  22. Hey Eurobrick'ers This is just a small scene I put together with a tree I had lying around, and a set 7955. It is also my first attempt at photo editing. Also, make sure to look out for: • The pet dragon • Inspiration from set 10223 Gallery
  23. love it, so old school wouldn't wanna fall into that moat
  24. Hey Eurobrick'ers Just thought I would share my most recent MOC on here. I had an urge to incorporate both those old red chainmail minifigs and my old green dragon I had lying around into a scene. Not much of a storyline behind it, but I came up with the idea of a group of bandits having captured the dragon in the wild and selling it off to the Dragon Knights in exchange for cold, hard cash. Also, make sure to look out for: • A working drawbridge • A old, drunken guard • A fallen warrior from many centuries ago • Four animals not including the dragon or the fish in the barrel (one is pretty hard to spot!) • "The wrong arm" Gallery: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=503652
  25. Hi zhar, nice to see another castle + pirates fan!
