pretty sure I know them all !

thanks for comments and feedback everyone ! hey man yeah, it's a dwarfish industrial revolution! cheers! It's actually hiding in the back there, but I think I misplaced it. if I could fix one thing it would be to make it more visible.

The dwarves celebrate a successful first run of their new labour saving device, the Quik-Smith™ (Ale provided by the Grog-Tube ®). Well, I'm obviously not in the Iron builder, but I had a few ideas for that silver hose piece that I wanted to try!

Awesome job attaching some Tudor sections to an impressive round tower. Also, I like the alternate window design.
-
Great colour scheme and use of a few prefab parts!
-
No problem ;) you can also angle the wedges like I did here' although it is right up the back in that moc. There are better examples in the classic-castle.com guides. Thanks cap.B! I was definitely wondering if it would sink into the sand, so I added the rock face for a bit of realism. Also, fun fact, most of the main tower is upside down. there are 4 giveaways in the picture I think, haha.

Thanks! The bamboo plants are all intact and only one or two are bent in. And the secret to easy, smooth ground is just having LOTS of wedges.

The black falcons struggle to tame the local flora and fauna in an unfamiliar environment. First moc of 2015, here's to a good year!

Thanks everyone, your comments are much appreciated! Thanks :) I did want to put one in the bushes somewhere, but I couldn't find one that went well with the fabuland pigs. Although I was considering one of those dark brown wargs from LOTR lego, haha.

The three houses from the classic fairy tale. The brick house features a furnished interior and a big oven to burn any wolves that somehow end up down the chimney.

Very cool, and some interesting techniques used!

Very stylish, the limbs and tree have a kind of exaggurated curve, but it looks awesome. And 2.5 hours is actually pretty quick for a varied build like this.

Yeah, DUPLO ;) The purist in me wouldn't be happy using random toys from the closet.

The Jones family get a nasty surprise at their gluttonous Christmas shindig.

It's hardly the most elegant of castles and I'm not a fan of the prefab pieces. IMO the kingdoms joust or Lord of the rings sets look a lot nicer, but it depends on what price you can get them.

What, for you, is a "custom Lego part"?
Dubbadgrim replied to XAxles's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm not a fan of modifying parts. I try to keep everything official Lego, except I will sometimes make an exception for cloth/string etc. i would also use printed torsos and custom accessories if building in a theme like WW2. -
I like it! the sails are beautiful.

Nice build cap.B, you did a good job of improving those old school blue flowers by adding the rounds on top. I used them before and they don't look very good alone. And he white background results in much better photos IMO.

CCCXII - The Forestmen's Cunning Heist
Dubbadgrim replied to Dubbadgrim's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks for feedback guys! Thankyou, I believe it's a very powerful technique, depending on what you plan to show/tell with the moc. I think the only way to show more is to have portions folding out. Thankyou :) yes, I believe the less pics of a moc, the better. And about the landscape, I had a nice dark brown tree with pink flowers ready to put in, but it looked so awful in the classic setting I took it out immediately haha. -
A group of forestmen enlist a dwarven engineer to help them rob a keep, owned by the red king. But the 'merry band' eventually discover that nature can be just as formidable as the defences they tried so hard to avoid. Built for the 'merry band' category.

CCCXII out with the new: 8877 Black Monarchs Dark Fortress
Dubbadgrim replied to Kumpelkante's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Great remake, looks very old school. the background is a nice touch as well, gives it that 90's feel. -
Already saw them on Flickr but I have to say I really like these creations, especially the quill and Dwarves axe . Also, the short descriptions mean I read all of them . When people post long stories it can be off putting and I would usually not read it.

great useage of those curved white pieces. i have never even tried microscale but there's so many good ideas it's kinda tempting!!

Maybe Norman the necromancer shouldn't have tinkered with that funny blue rune he found in the basement... Built for small misc category. shoutout to Legonardo for the door design and Karf Oohlu for some creative lab ideas!

Coffee that's out of this world!!! Haha , let's hope so. Maybe in the future I will have lego cups other than pink also :) Yeah true , one of those things you notice that needed to be added after it's been posted!
