  1. Along a remote and narrow pathway in the arid mountains, a Vladek prisoner convoy is blocked by a hungry mountain troll. The two young warriors want to slay the beast, but the Vladek warlord knows from experience that this is easier said than done... Built for the 'Vehicle conflict' category.
  2. Stylish! Armor looks great on him too.
  3. the first photo in particular has a nice spooky vibe to it.
  4. Thanks for comments everyone, glad you like it. hahaha thanks. thats important to me, that I use my own style overall. but, I'm not afraid to take some 'inspiration' from other builders
  5. A residence for the aristocracy of the Lion Kingdom. Built on a small crystal mine, a hidden source of their wealth. I'd been working on this for a while and before I knew it, the ccc had begun. It will probably have to be entered in large misc. Also, I finally got to use those ancient windows I had kicking around!
  6. Nice ! Lots of life, great details like the burning of the witch, and the gold knight looks impressive!
  7. Awesome! classic feel but at the same time quite realistic, especially with the detailed interior.
  8. Thanks for the comments everyone ! Cheers, I have put one more pic on my Flickr. I never had much idea what the GoH was all about, but I have looked at the new member guide and it looks pretty interesting
  9. A castle for Gilbert the Bad (from the KK1 era). Includes a portcullis driven by gears, for fast operation.
  10. [pid][/pid] 258C A (loose) remake of classic set 6246. Includes a working bone lever to open the cage and a cross section of the cage and its prisoners. I think most of us loved the old set, so I thought I would do a realistic version of it. This meant making it a lot bigger and reorganizing some of the features
  11. These are really creative! I'm not really knowledgeable about Final Fantasy but that figure has some crazy parts usage
  12. A rogue soldier plans the bombing of a German AA bunker with the help of a pet monkey. Features a removable roof and folding out interior. Shoutout to BaronSat for his custom instructions!
  13. Very old school
  14. One thing you can do is 'remake' one of your favorite sets. Expand the size dramatically, add in lots of detail and more landscape etc. My favourite of all my creations is my own remake of the castle set 6078, it was an absolute blast to build as well and let me get really creative while sticking to an overall guideline / theme.
  15. Awesome parts usage on those huts!
  16. Great job. True to the theme but with some creative additions - that bell is very clever.
  17. Up north, near-ish to Launceston. I saw your display at the expo at Hobart showground, If I see you at another one I will make sure to come and say hi!
  18. Awesome + unique style! Nice to see a fellow Tasmanian on here also.
  19. They are just switch handles it was more effort pulling them out of the bases than it was to actually place them in the moc
  20. On the peaceful fringes of the Royal Knight kingdom, the royal drawbridge provides safe passage across a river and acts as a storage point for skeletons and treasure. A bored prince chases rats, while a maiden gossips with a guard. But, a foreigner - a dragon master - arrives at the entrance with seemingly peaceful intentions. Only the guard sitting atop the drawbridge lookout has the vision to see the true motives of this Dragon Master, and the massive army he has mustered for a direct assault on the Royal Knight kingdom. ----- Well, this is my remake of the classic set 6078. I was inspired from This build from Aliencat and This build from Peter deYeule. I am particularly happy with getting the string+branch to collapse the drawbridge, the stalactite and (oddly) getting a good looking roof for the 3x3 pillars on the top. Also, make sure to check out the video I made of the trap on the drawbridge. Hope you guys enjoy! Comparison shot from Bricklink:
  21. nice work, I like the staff (?) held by the hooded guy. Also, the tree has great angles.
