  1. Great work team! Thanks for all the advice and your patience. You guys were amazing! Hinckley, thanks for letting me play. I had an absolute blast! Loved the theme and the comics.
  2. This looks awesome with your modifications. It's my favourite set from the Lone Ranger series and you've made it even better. Thanks for sharing!
  3. Nice! I love the drawbridge and the ships are just adorable. I also like how you have created the village, with the church at the top of the hill. The factory is clever too.
  4. I also like the townhouses with the doors next to each other. The Pet Shop looks a little like the top half is two separate buildings still. You could avoid having the double column of groove bricks in the centre by having all the front windows 4 studs wide. You'd need to reposition the windows in the roof as well. I think that the pet shop sign needs to be centred, or maybe have the doors under the sign?
  5. The building is really cute!
  6. The dark red and reddish brown townhouses look great, and are excellent representations of the originals. I like how you have done the white stripes on the first one and the front planter box on the reddish brown townhouse. The roof trim on the white house is my favourite detail. Very clever!
  7. I don't know the answer to your specific question, but my own purchases often end up around 10 cents US per part.
  8. This turned out great ... I'm very jealous. I love the shelves!
  9. These are really cute! My favourite is the middle one, as it's a nice colour combination with interest details, like the brown trim that extends beyond the windows. I think the plates definitely work better than the bricks at this scale.
  10. The miniscale Horizon Express is excellent and instantly recognisable, but what I really like about this is the overall scene you've created. The tunnel, landscaping and bridge really bring this to life for me. Well done!
  11. This looks great! I love the colour combination, the use of the crates for the flowerboxes on the upper windows and the texture of the roof. Looks like it would fit in nicely with the official modulars as well. Is there an interior?
  12. This is really neat, Kai! I agree with TheLegoDoctor that brown may be a better choice as I thought it was a penguin at first too! Mind you, that doesn't detract at all from the cleverness of the build. The flag looks fantastic as well. Only one thing that bugs me - the gap between the meat patty and lettuce on the hamburger. Is there a way to fill this? Maybe with something like a round plates to represent tomatoes, onions or pickles?
  13. Love it! The facade is just stunning, with nice balance of colours and details. I'm a fan of variation in window detailing while maintaining cohesion in the overall style of the building. I think you've done that perfectly here. Great interior also! Nice use of the Chima parts for the eagle!
  14. This is a great start! I like the tan building, particularly the tall narrow windows on the second floor. Only one minor thing ... maybe you can add a step to the front door of the pizza place? I think it would define the front entrance to the pizza shop a little better and make it safer for the minifigs to go in and out. I'm looking forward to seeing this town grow.
  15. This is magnificent! I love the textures created by the use of the different coloured and types of plates for the walls, as well as the overall shape and proportions of the church. I also like how you have done the fence, with the contrasting tiles on top. The landscaping is superb, enough to create a sense of this being an old church, without it being overgrown or distracting from the beauty of the church.
  16. Nice scene and great little story. You'll have to let us know how they go finding the treasure.
  17. Thanks, Grogall. I'm really looking forward to this house. All those yummy 2x3 windows in tan!! I expect it will be a big hit with my daughter as well for the play features.
  18. Thanks for the great review, KielDaMan. I wasn't particularly interested in this theme, but this coach is definitely on the wanted list now. I love the hair on the Red Harrington minifig!
  19. Thanks for the comprehensive review, Zeahl. Looks like each one has something to offer in terms of parts, in addition to the animals themselves. I'm looking forward to getting hold of some of those dark red leaves.
  20. Nice! I like how it looks like the two rocks are just about to fall down. The texture of the rock work is also really well done. I would like to see it done with a little more colour variation, but in this case that might detract from the melting snow.
  21. Nice! I love textures on the facade, especially the trims around the window. It also sits really well in the landscaping, like its been sitting there for a while.
  22. This is a great scene overall and I love the building. The features that stand out for me are the brick-built front door, the chimney and the tiling on the roof. The interiors are great also, especially the long table.
  23. I find this a strange question, as only you can answer that for yourself. Also, does it matter? If it makes you happy, do you really need to be able to pinpoint why it does? For me, it's that it lets me use the creative side of the brain and it provides quality time together for my daughter and I.
  24. Congratulations, scumbags. Well-played! Thanks for hosting a great game, Darkdragon and Shadows! I had a blast, even if I did spent most of time in the detention room.
  25. Welcome to Eurobricks. I think your story echoes that of quite a few AFOLs, including myself. I have a 6 y.o. daughter and one of her favourites buildings is the Apple Tree House. She likes to pretend the attic space is the bedroom for the lawnmower. She is allowed to play with the modular buildings. She did drop one once (3000+ pieces!), which was a shame, but no damage to her or the bricks, so all's good. Her favourites so far have been the Pet Shop, Town Hall and Palace Cinema. The latter was a big hit because all the minifigs could go watch a movie together! I dismantled that one last week and I found most of the Star Wars crew in there. Usually whatever modular I have on the go (whether its an official model or an MOC) becomes home for her favourite minifigs for a while.
