OK, it's well and truly the 2nd of April now. Can we please go back to being Eurobricks? The new banner is really starting to hurt my eyes. -
Tournament of Retribution III - Winners Announcement
Kristel replied to Admiral Croissant's topic in Pirate MOCs
Congratulations everyone! I don't have an allegiance to either redcoats or bluecoats, but I had a lot of fun reading the comics! Some of them were just hilarious.- 28 replies

Thanks, Hinckley, Cecilie and dr_spock. I'm glad you like it! Thanks, Rick. The sticker was a challenge because I don't normally play around much with fonts. Also, the first version of the sticker was rounded, more consistent with the signs in the Fabuland sets. Unfortunately, my scissor skills weren't up to the task!

This is a really clever idea and it looks fantastic!

Welcome to Ameribricks.com - Major Changes Coming!

Nothing against the Americans here, but if we have to change, can we make it "AussieBricks"? "AmeriBricks" just doesn't roll off the tongue very easily. -
FABULAND Crossover: Japanese tea house - ninjas!
Kristel replied to Cecilie's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow! Everything about this is just stunning. Except the black ninjas - they are just too cute! I'm totally over that flower with the red frogs. -
Thanks, Rufus, I'm glad you like it. Thanks, Darkdragon. That is exactly what I was hoping to achieve. Thanks for the kind words, L@go, both here and on flickr.

FABULAND Building: Wedding Chapel
Kristel replied to Purpearljellyblob's topic in Special LEGO Themes
This is a gorgeous little chapel. I really like the browns and greens against the white structure - a nice balance of colour. -

Poor Bonnie. I don't think that's the Prince Charming she was hoping for! -

FABULAND Building: Gibson Goat's Toadstool Tavern

This is just amazing! So many gorgeous details inside and out. I love the sunflowers , hanging flower basket, fireplace and double bed. Extra points, too, for including Friends parts! -
Here's my entry, Blossom Bunny's flower shop: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=81020

Blossom Bunny's flower shop is the place to go to in Fabuland for fabulous flower arrangements. Downstairs in this building is the flower shop, stocked with enough flowers to make any bouquet or arrangement you desire. The two upper floors are Blossom Bunny's modest apartment, which includes a kitchen and a cosy bedroom. The backyard has a place for Blossom Bunny to park her car, a couple of flower beds, and apple tree, a comfy bench and a table. A great place to relax during her breaks and on the weekends. The shop has a big counter for wrapping up the flower arrangements and a wide selection of flowers to choose from. Blossom Bunny's kitchen was inspired by Catherine Cat's Kitchen (3646). As always, carrots are on the menu for tonight's dinner. Blossom Bunny's very cosy bedroom was a little hard to photograph, so the last photo is of her bedroom furniture instead. More photos available on flickr! I set myself the challenge of building an 'old school' Fabuland Building using no Fabuland pieces (as I don't have any). In hindsight, I wish I had at least bought one or two of the characters, not only to include in the photos, but also because I became quite fond of the theme while doing my research for this contest!

Looks very impressive with the extension!

Thanks for the excellent review, SilentMode. I think this is one of the best from the last wave, mainly for its selection of parts. The score of 6/10 for playability is a little low in my opinion. You mentioned trying to get the ball into the net using the diving board. I haven't tried it with the ball, but I have with the mini-dolls and it's do-able with a bit of practice. Don't tell anyone, but I've found myself playing with this set without the 6 y.o. by my side.

The firetruck is awesome! Not sure I'd want to mess with those bulldogs if I were mayor.

Fabulous! I didn't know much about Fabuland either before the start of Fabuland Season, but I think you have captured the Fabuland spirit perfectly. Love it!
