nice! I like how you even put in the 'slider' of sauron from the council of elrond set. Where's gollum? or maybe you don't consider him evil?

Nominate Dream LotR Sets for the Midearth Madness Tournament
SheepEater replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
1) Eowyn and Merry vs Witch King on Fell Beast 2) Faramir with Gondor Soldiers at Osgiliath ruins 3) Siege of Minas Tirith: gate and fortress wall only. Includes Gothmog 4) Treebeard Encounter I'd say Bree/Prancing Pony too, but this set is close enough and can be modded. -
LEGO Set Box Differences by Region...
SheepEater replied to LEGO Historian's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thanks Lego Historian for finally posting something about Lego sets produced after the mid 70s, which doesn't happen often -
Just came back from watching it. Liked: - Smaug. :dangry: :dangry: - The locations: Mirkwood, the elf palace, lake town, Erebor. Fantastic. - Thorin beginning to act like the haughty, greedy, egostical dick he is in the book. Richard Armitage is great. - The Mirkwook Spiders scene. The Lego set made me fear Bilbo wouldn't get his chance to shine, but thankfully they didn't screw that part up. Didn't like: - the love triangle - Leaving Bofur, Fili and Kili behind in Lake town.Especially Bofur, because he overslept? WTF? - Too many orcs. Orcs, orcs everywhere. I'm surprised they didn't give Smaug his own personal Orc army while they were at it.

Amazing. Lego really needs to offer an official set just like this but with the witch king. Added to index

Nico71's Creations
SheepEater replied to nico71's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi Nico, I sent you an email oct. 27 about your road grader MOC and you never replied, so... here it is Hopefully my inventory will be useful to someone down the line. J'ai été étonné par le nombre d'engrenages (et de fonctions) considérant la taille du MOC. 1 yellow large curved panel 1 yellow large panels 1 x 5 x 11 2 gray large panels 1 x 5 x 11 1 gray 5x7 square beam 4 yellow beam 11.5 double bent 3 yellow beam 7 bent 4-4 2 Yellow beam 1 x 9 Bent (7-3) 2 yellow beam 1 x 9 bent (6-4) 2 yellow beam 3 x 5 l-shape 2 black beam 2 x 4 L-Shape 2 yellow beam 2 x 4 L-Shape 2 dkgray beam 2 x 4 L-Shape 6 yellow beam 1 x 15 4 yellow beam 1 x 13 10 yellow beam 1 x 11 4 black beam 1 x 9 1 yellow beam 1 x 9 4 black beam 1 x 7 2 yellow beam 1 x 7 7 yellow beam 1 x 5 2 blue beam 1 x 5 13 yellow beam 1 x 3 4 black beam 1 x 3 6 yellow beam 1 x 2 2 black technic triangle thin 2 Yellow Technic, Liftarm 3 x 5 L-Shape with Quarter Ellipse Thin 4 yellow liftarm 1 x 7 thin 2 black liftarm 1 x 5 thin 2 gray Liftarm 1 x 4 Thin with Stud Connector 4 yellow liftarm 1 x 4 thin 2 blue liftarm 1 x 4 thin 4 gray Liftarm 3 x 3 L-Shape Thin 2 black liftarm 3 x 3 l-shape thin 2 blue liftarm 3 x 3 l-shape thin 7 yellow liftarm 1 x 3 thin 1 gray Liftarm 1 x 3 with 2 Axle Holes and Pin / Crank 6 blue liftarm thin 1 x 2 4 black liftarm 1 x 2 thin 2 gray liftarm 1 x 2 thin 2 dkgray liftarm 1 x 2 thin 1 black link 9 1 dkgray new differential 7 gray gear 24t 2 dkgray gear 24t 2 gray crown gear 24t 3 gray gear 16 tooth 8 gray gear 8 tooth 3 gray gear 20 tooth double bevel 3 black gear 12 tooth double bevel 4 gray gear 12 Tooth Bevel 1 gray gear 12 tooth double bevel 3 gray worm gear 3 yellow technic Knob Wheel 6 gray pulley 1 gray steering wheel small, 3 Studs Diameter 2 black axle 10 3 gray axle 9 2 black axle 8 2 dkgray axle 8 with Stop 8 gray axle 7 13 black axle 6 11 gray axle 5 2 dkgray axle 5.5 With Stop 15 black axle 4 27 gray axle 3 1 black axle 3 7 dkgray axle 3 with stud 17 red axle 2 notched 4 black axle 2 notched 8 yellow Axle Connector (Smooth with x Hole + Orientation) 5 black Axle Connector (Smooth with x Hole + Orientation) 6 black Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Angled #1 6 yellow Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Angled #1 11 Black Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Angled #2 - 180 degrees 1 Black Axle and Pin Connector Angled #4 - 135 degrees 4 Yellow Axle and Pin Connector Angled #5 - 112.5 degrees 14 yellow Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with 2 Pin Holes 4 black Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with 2 Pin Holes 4 gray Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with 2 Pin Holes 7 Black Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with Center Pin Hole 4 Black Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with Center Pin Hole 2 Technic, Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with 4 Pins 2 dkgray Engine Crankshaft Center 2 gray Engine Crankshaft 7 Axle Connector (Ridged with x Hole x Orientation) 15 yellow Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3 black Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3 gray Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 1 dkgray Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 1 black Axle Connector with Axle Hole 4 Black Technic, Pin Connector Round with Slot (Pin Joiner Round) from 8265 2 gray old u-joint 2 yellow Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular Double Split 4 blue bionicle tooth 73 black pin with friction 27 black pin long with friction 36 blue axle pin with friction 8 Pin Long with Friction Ridges Lengthwise and Stop Bush 1 gray pin long 6 tan axle pin 1 gray Pin 1/2 2 dkgray Pin 3/4 1 gray ball axle pin 1 black ball pin 11 gray bush 1 black bush 5 gray Bush 1/2 Smooth 2 gray Bush 1/2 Smooth 6 yellow pistons 6 gray Engine Connecting Rod 1 black 2x2 round plate 1 trans yellow 2x2 round brick 1 black Round 2 x 2 with Rounded Bottom (Boat Stud) 4 clear Plate, Round 1 x 1 6 gray engine block 2 gray Pin Connector Block 1 x 5 x 3 6 gray Wheel 43.2mm D. x 18mm 6 black Tire 62.4mm D. x 20mm -
Faramir, Eowyn, Witch King, Galadriel, Gondor soldier: Yep, exactly the figures I want the most as well. In the meantime though, my two 2008 crownies will do just fine in front of the black gate alongside Gandalf and Aragorn.

[Mod/Mashup] The Vampyre Castle of Helm's Deep
SheepEater replied to Ragnar_Deerslayer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
 I love it, hilarious, pure genius! Love the mashup of minifigs. -
Apart from what our local store managers tell us, we don't.
-
And if we don't get a 3rd LOTR wave, let's at least hope for a grand finale set, ala HP Diagon Alley or Medieval Joust
-
Omissions that I could see: - Rohan soldier - Haldir - Gollum - Missed 1 Mordor Orc: the orc pitmaster - Bilbo - The 13 dwarves of the company - The drunk elf in barrel Escape. - Radagast - Necromancer - Beorn
-
I would place my bet on somethng like this. Dog Pound from TMNT
-
Rohan (....And that's only because Lego hasn't done Gondor yet)

Technic General Discussion
SheepEater replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2428 Appeared in a bunch of city and space sets, but only in this one for Technic. -
My grand idea for a Lego City set that would be destined to be in the pantheon of great city sets for the ages Ultimate collector's edition: Industrial Complex. 3500 pieces, 17 minifigs. $400 USD, $450 CAD (because of all the motors) Factory - The centerpiece would be a huge 2 floor factory with technic motors moving 2 or more ceiling-based sliding crane arms. - Conveyor belt circling the factory - Truck loading bay with sliding doors. Includes 1 or 2 trucks - Train loading bay, with large crane - Warehouse area with trans-light green toxic waste spill Train - Complete, motorized cargo train with a loco+3 cars. Complete train railroad to joins the factory with the: Cargo harbor - complete harbor with a container ship, crane, done in the same general style as the 6542 but with the train track joining the docks and accessible by the crane arm.

Now that Lego has announced a DIsney Princess theme coming in 2014 (featuring Friends minidolls), I think we can forget any generic fantasy medieval Friends set. But I still want a military themed friends set. WIth pink flick-fire missiles with little hearts on the tips.

[MOC] the Hobbit: Out of the Frying-Pan into the Fire
SheepEater replied to Legopard's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Great MOC, but don't take it the wrong way but I prefer the official set because it's closer to the book version and I don't like how they did the scene justice in the movie. -
Lord of the Rings MOCs chronological index

I remember your MOC and trying to find it unsuccessfully when I created the topic. Thanks for showing up. Added! -
No, no particular smell I'd rather go to Target if everything else is equal sice Walmart is bigger and Target is the main competitor keeping them in check. If Target ever grows bigger (not likely) then I'll do the opposite
-
I paid my first ever visit to a Target 2 weeks ago. Looks identical to Walmart except for more red instead of blue. Same departments, etc I'll be looking forward to the Target exclusives that so far we Canadians never got. I walked across the manager and asked him if they hired some of the Zellers employees who used to work at that spot. he replied "Only the best ones!"
