  1. Hi Deathleech, those MOCs are fantastic. I added them to the LOTR moc index. Can you *PLEASE* provide us with the lxf files?
  2. I also consider 8475 and 8366 (the two gray RC cars) to be Technic 8366 is especially good, In fact, IMHO 8366 is tied with 8455 as the top technic set of 2003, but is almost never mentioned.
  3. EDIT: I did not create this video, but I thought I would post it here. http://bravewords.co...video-streaming
  4. I grew up with Star Trek: The Next Generation. For me, Picard & co is the best Star Trek. Do you know of any Star Trek TNG MOCs?
  5. Why not use the smooth tyres of the 2010 red motorbike instead?
  6. Topic creator: Why are you comparing a continent with a country? We Canadians get the same boxes as Americans, you know. (And Mexicans too, maybe, though I'm not sure since S@H doesn't ship there)
  7. Absolutely fantastic looking set, I'll be sure to get this. So much better than the BTTF set that it's not even fair to compare them. About Slimer: lots of people complain about his absence, and I couldn't disagree more. He doesn't belong in this set. You guys are mixing up your childhood memories of the MOVIE with your memory of the following CARTOON and toys from the 80s, which are the ones that made him the lovable sidekick to appeal to kids. (Which were extremely popular, admittedly). You need to watch the movie again. In the actual MOVIE, Slimer had basically an insignificant role. Lego are basing this set on the movie, not the cartoons or subsequent toy line.
  8. The entire Hobbit 2nd wave, and this: the much needed, Siege of Gondor Battle Pack, from bricklink!
  9. I always thought this was Lego's way of trolling us AFOLs. Especially since he lasted a good 3 or 4 years on every non-Friends lego set.
  10. I vote for whichever one is taking the less shelf space (that could have went to Lego) in toy stores. Kre-o it is.
  11. A silly conversation I had the other day.... Let's call him Carl, someone who knows me and my Lego addiction: Carl: - "Hey SheepEater,, did you know about these architecture Lego sets?" Me: - Yeah. But these sets are more geared towards adults. Carl .... Me.... ... Did I just say that? Oh I meant I collect lego sets with minifigs in them. Usually geared towards kids. Carl: *bursts out laughing*
  12. Great looking set! But why not put it in the "City" theme? The difference between City and Creator is getting blurrier and blurrier
  13. Is Bricklink down? I timeout.
  14. That reminds me of the best website of all time (in my opinion): the brick testament http://www.thebrickt...t.com/home.html I love the Easter weekend. A huge, nice, juicy steak on Good Friday and tons of chocolate at Easter
  15. Fantastic brickfilm. Kudos! Those russian winter hats, are they custom? I would love to read your input on whether or not Lego should make a military (or WW2 ) theme. I started a "Should Lego make a WW2 theme" last week that got eventually merged with a less specific military topic. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=63379&st=100
  16. It seems it's the same story with Playmobil. I have done an extensive search and found no military theme toys (please prove me wrong if that's not the case!). Not too surprising since it's a German company. Anyway, to keep it Lego related: I just found these gems on youtube:
  17. The replies to this topic made me want to revisit this classic from Udo Dirkschneider (former Accept singer), a German. (before some of you panic, listen to the lyrics, it a song about children being enlisted in war)
  18. That would be just as good, so sure, I'd take it!
  19. I know they swore many times that it was against their "core" values (I don't get it, but oh well). Regardless, if they DID a WW2 theme that sold quality sets looking like these: http://www.tractionwars.com/rec-room/2127-lego-genius-rebuilds-wwii-vehicles-set-pieces-age-14-a.html Do you think little kids would rush to the store to buy them or it would mostly be a teen/adult collector thing?
  20. I remember buying it from lego.com in 2007. It sold out VERY quickly.
  21. I'm done building mine. Very pleased, truly a worthy successor to the 10185 Green Grocer (making this my 2nd modular). The building techniques demonstrated in the build are truly mind-blowing, especially the 3rd tier. I had a problem with one of the white clam part, though. It kept opening. To solve the problem I forced an inward bending of each of the halves then closed the clam again. So far so good. If the plastic eventually "remembers" its original alignment though, the clam will probably open again and I'll have to contact Lego. I gave each of the females a more fitting face, then filled up every seat with my numerous city workers. The first hour of the build was pretty boring with all that tiled floor, but worth it
  22. Any good MacBeth MOCs out there? Surely at least somebody attempted a Castle Dunsinane in the last 35 years. Considering there are supposely _two_ MacBeth movies coming out soon, I expect interest will rise.
  23. I have read something like this a long time ago too (I live in Quebec and lived in Montreal for 18 years, where Mega Bloks are located), but if that was the case then that's pretty hypocritical to tax Lego for being an import when Mega Bloks themselves manufacture most of their stuff in CHINA!
