That's the one thing I dislike about the comic movie explosion from 2000 to present - almost every B-level character gets one shot at a movie. If it tanks for any reason, no one will touch it again. Look at Daredevil, Punisher, Catwoman, etc. I'm not a particular fan of Cloak and Dagger (no reason, just never read them), but I'd hope they'd get a fair chance at a comic-based movie that accurately portrays them.

I'm of the fanbase that hopes Rey and Jyn aren't related to anyone we know of currently. The whole Star Wars universe doesn't have to be one big extended family that does all the stuff. There should be other heroes that operate in different roles in the rebellion. I think the tough female lead works, provided they give her some other dimensions. Maybe even humor. Her rap sheet indicates that she's been doing this a long time and she could be a bit remenicient of Han, in a way.

In the same boat. Everytime I think about playing I wonder if I want to bother with the freezing and if I have the patience at that time.

I think people were expecting more lightsaber... or cowbell... One of the two.

Yea, Raptor Escape being a retail exclusive is now the hardest one to track down. I was lucky enough to get it early on when Raptor Rampage was out of stock being that it had major characters.

So, I'm not sure what more can be said on this topic. The poster claims his set was an error, some people (myself included) assume foul-play, and some people assume it was legit. We'll honestly never know. If it was an error, it is an unheard of error that has never happened before. Sure, we've seen sets missing parts, but not sets with totally different, unrelated parts. If it was foul play, most of us who have been collecting for some time caught onto it. And it's not like the poster will admit it anyway. So, what now...?

Everything looks pretty promising. I just hope we don't get into another era of too many trooper types, like in ROTS. Granted, I'm sure the Empire maintained some specialized troops, I just want to see a lot of OT Stormtroopers in action. Here's also hoping there's a young Mon Mothma in one set.

Well, no offense the the original poster of this thread, but that's what it seems like this has moved to. It's too easy to reverse Google search those pics out.
-
The game should really change to "post a movie pic, then people guess a fake title, then the poster chooses the winner and that winner has to post the next pic".

I don't actively play Dimensions, but the Cyberman/Dalek pack is on my list. They've been on sale on Lego's site for $7.49.
-
I think the Target exclusive version does have two interviews. One with Daisy Ridley and one with John Boyega.
-
My wife got it for me on preorder. The Disney exclusive version with collectible lithographs.
-
Unless the exclusive Doctor used some new elements, it's easy enough to make a decent Tenth Doctor with the blue pinstripe suit. A civilian costume is easier to pull off than a superhero one.
-
I think the sale price is actually right where Lego should be with these. $7.49 for a Fun Pack and $19.99 for a Level Pack. That would really bring it closer to what other Toys-to-Life games are at. $15 for a Fun Pack, which is one minifigure and less than 100 bricks seems harsh compared to $13 for a Star Wars battle pack with four minifigures and at least 100 bricks. Granted there's the tech component with Dimensions, but it can't be that much.

Imperial and Rebel battle packs. Both are great with some really nice parts. I plan to use the alien heads in some Fantasy MOCs.

Marvel Superhero Airport Battle Dimensions Ghostbuster Level Pack Dimensions Ghostbusters Fun Pack (Stay Puft) Dimensions Doctor Who Level Pack I recommend all of those highly!

Would you open 34 years old MISB Lego?
HawkLord replied to MaasEffekt's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I used to be a sealed action figure collector, but these days with reports of people finding non-Lego material in their sealed Lego sets, I just can't do that with Lego. There's a thread in the Licensed section that talks about the phenomenon of issues with sealed sets. I've heard of people finding plastic chips, non-Lego pieces (like MegaBloks), or rocks in what they thought were sealed sets. It's far too easy to open a box, switch out stuff, and then make it look sealed. People have been doing that with action figures for ages and those are sealed plastic bubbles on cardboard. -

The goal would be a Giant-Man in comic based costume, but I could try for just a generic minifigure in classic colors. -
Saw BvS and was disappointed. I walked in wanting to like it, but I just couldn't get there. For me, the problem areas were: Batman - boring. So much angst about being Batman, but no real reason given. I was hoping there'd be some flashback about what happened to the (Robin/Nightwing) suit that Joker marked, but no. Instead, Batfleck was just angry all the time. Superman - also boring. I get that most of his character was built in the previous movie, but he felt really phoned in. Obviously this is not the Christopher Reeves' Superman, but would it kill them to at least give him some levity? Out of all three, he should be the most able to crack a smile or joke or at least present some optimism. Wonder Woman - not terrible. The drums every time she appeared got old real quick, as did the WWII picture. Why would there be a picture of a Greek warrior (obviously) in WWII and no one taking about it? Lois Lane - her bullet story did nothing for her character and she needed saving three different times. Female role model or damsel in distress? Why would you throw a Superman killing spear in a pool in some abandoned building? The thing can kill your husband, wouldn't you make sure it was gone for good? Justice League - forced and with such little amount of screen time, I didn't feel a need to care. Aquaman stabs undersea robots while living in a broken down shipwreck. I'm betting his movie is going to feel like Thor's with "funny" scenes of him discovering modern life. Flash was ok. Cyborg was weird if you didn't know who he was - I bet most people thought it was a mad scientist performing some sick experiment. I didn't feel the "oh, wow, they're coming together!" It felt a lot like the end of Harry Potter when they talk about finding all the Horcuxes. Doomsday - needlessly big. It would have been so much better if he was the same size as in the comic and he and Supes had a knocked-down, drag-out Rocky style fight. Again like the comic. Considering we just saw Supes shake off a nuclear bomb to the face, it didn't seem unlikely that he would live. And given how quickly they covered the funeral, it didn't feel real or heavy enough. Darkseid - no set-up. Unless you were a comic fan, this all would have flown over your head. At least Marvel prepped Thanos several times and even casual fans could tell he was a heavy. Overall, just too much material in a small package. Too soon for Supes death. Let the character rack up some wins and form the Justice League and then his death would have weight. As it is, he was in one movie and I didn't feel attached enough to him. Especially since the world around him didn't seem to care either. When Supes died in the comics, he was a hero of the universe and every superhero mourned. In the movie he died less than that and only two superheroes were there. Much less gravity than it could had. DC needs to slow down. They're not going to catch Marvel in time to head-to-head with Infinity War, so they might as well play the long game and prep everything for after that.

My awesome wife got me the Ghostbusters Level pack and Stay Puft pack. I was able to play alittle last night, but it did freeze during one of the cut scenes - frustrated that that still happens. I love the Peter minifigure - the printing is perfect. Stay Puft looks great and I'm already working on getting the pieces for another Terror Dog - to make Vinz Clortho (slightly modded from the base Terror Dog).

Just got the Battle at the Airport set and it's incredible. Very happy with it. The tower and the luggage cart are pretty cool and realistic enough to work. The Quinjet is another good take on the vehicle, even though it's smaller. Lastly, the Giant-Man build is perfect. I'm actually trying to think if I have the part to make about brick-built figure like it. It's very well-designed and feels like a gian minifigure (almost like the Lego clocks). The minifigures are great and this set gives you a huge boost in heroes or a great way to start a collection. I was happy to see Cap's shield even had solid printing - no pink! Even the stickers weren't too bad. Overall, well worth it! -
I wouldn't think you'd need them. I've never kept a polybag itself once I've opened it. I've also not seen eBay auctions or the like where the opened bags have been sold with the contents.

Freeze is going for about $25-30 on eBay. The Batcave will be around for some time. I would suggest getting Freeze on the event his price goes up, since you have time on the Batcave.

Ugh... looks just like the last one. Man, Lego didn't even try.

I thought I remembered in past years Eurobricks changed the front page as a joke.
