  1. There are some very interesting buildings, but well.... I kinda wonder why camping didn't come earlier than jungle series since that is a more daily life theme? Anyway, it sure looks like another mustbuy for Town fans. As for the new stores.... ummmm.... it's kinda like the Arendelle castle issue.... look "flat", litereally. Like others said, not an upgraded version from the Junior suitcase or the last market set. More like a revised version from the Duplo set. Livi's house looks less "rock'n'roll" than those Pop star sets. But it has nice design and very Paradisa-ish. Another musthave for villa fans.
  2. The good thing is, it's not an absolute competition that there must be one "winner" in every review. If there are really no suitable projects, I don't think LEGO should be forced to do any of them. Porbably some voters rather wish to see more of those previous projects selected. As for these projects, as usual there are defenitely impossible ones. LEGO might not wish to do oversized sets via LEGO Ideas. Some other original ideas which might fit a regular set might depend on LEGO's inhouse market research. My personally dissapointment is not to see Golden Girls pass since it has the same potential and product size with TBBT set, I quite don't understand why it fails. The additional issue is that LEGO announced Ghostbuster office recently. Plus those Dimensions franchises, would it be that LEGO actually knock all those fan projects done but secretly begin to do their own thing? It'd still be good to fans, but not to project makers. Hopefully it is a ridiculous assumption.
  3. Have been quite a long time from this forum... well.... not my ideal list, I personally don't care too much about more counterpart characters. In commercial aspects, it usually says that certain character type has great demands and LEGO is willing to do more varieties to that kind of character. Calamity's hairpice would be eventually reused one day, but I kinda don't think it's the best (or the most luxurious) one for a Queen. Would be nice if they come out an exclusive one like the King or Skyra had. We had several ladies who know to dance before, so some male counterparts would be my preferences, but sadly it may not be the case this time. I suppose that it's gonna be a Ballerina type this time. I'd love to see those mythological characters from the game, but suppose that they're too sepcific for regular CMF series, maybe a regular theme or themed series in a future.
  4. Suppoes that the old slope is usedful to an extent, maybe it would be nice to add varieties to the line just like Friends and Elves minidolls have many kinds to choose so far. As for the old regular CMFs, unless LEGO is doing another rehashing of the whole line, the existed characters may not use any of those dress in the future. The Fairytale Princess, which should be equvalent to Macy, was the clear example that LEGO didn't plan to do a new dress "in time". But to me, not just cause it's licensed, the details also don't look proper for generic LEGO figures. Nor could it be able to fit in a blind bag.Interestingly some may have seen this kind of idea in China clone brands before LEGO stick to slope skirts for years.
  5. I know that, thanx . Just think it's not as good as what we usually got before in other medium sets. Would expect a new shop.building in this wave.
  6. Well... uh.... not a good wave to me. I can understand the theme idea and the new party hat looks lovely, however, most of the sets look a big similiar and not innovative enoguh by LEGO Friends' standard. There should be a bigger building set based on the fesitival idea. In Friends' TV show series, the girls made a parade car exhibitation and that would have been a good part of this subetheme IMO. Livi seems to keep her presence in this theme for a longer while. But still, kinda disspointed that Friends' storyline doesn't really make a successful job highlighting a "superstar" character that every FOL could notice.
  7. Arendelle Castle has a very beutiful pattern and color palette. But for unknown reason, both it and the cabin from the other set looks "flat" and not a 3-dimension scale set like LEGO's Castle houses look. The new reindeer molds looks very much like that it'll be used in more Seasonal sets, which literally means LEGO ignores Sven's preciseness. On the other hand. Kristoff's look.... uh... I know Club Max's hairpieces matches, but kinda worry that his face print isn't good enough and the normal face mold would just make him a generic Heartlake guy. The Palace animals and buildings are a phenomenal job despite no ne new Disney story entry is the major letdown in this wave. Do I expect more in the future? Well... if LEGO can treat them as a seperate line. Although it feels like that LEGO want to make a bigger pet world for KFOL girls, I would expect that LEGO do put some focus on other bigger animals other than reindeers too.
  8. Wow, what a surprise! It may not look as magnificent as other corner buildings, it adds good variety to this line. So no BlackWidow's hairpiece is now generic? Well, to me, abit dissapointing that it doesn't have three-floor height or make the second floor abit higher, so it's relatively more expensive... :/
  9. My main concern is how the regular theme "Disney Princess" we already had would evolve in the future. I, of course, think Princesses are part of the Disney world, but that saying equally says Jack Sparrow and Woody should be in.It's frustrating that we don't hear new stories involved in the upcoming list of 2016. If that tells LEGO Disney Princess is gonna ending, it should be fine to replace it with a new Disney theme. Just not sure if it's what LEGO really think 100%. Squidward also used a normal head with the cartoon print (thankfully it's gone). In other cartoon franchises cases, Avatar as abit off but April from TMNT and Star Wars Rebels still stick to the LEGO style. I think it would not happen again.
  10. Halfly agreed. Nexo's structure is still very similiar with LEGO's past commercial marketing ways while Elves is still original to LEGO, so I understand that LEGO could do more analysis and predictions for Nexo and less for Elves. But IMO, despite we might not really see armed combat vehicles running around Elvendale, I think Elves is able to pull out a bigger character roster and some battles with special weapons and new dragons in physical sets, alongwith a bigger storytelling as Ninjago season 1. So this should depend on how LEGO treat it. I do think there are nice building style and artworks in the cartoon trailer. The theme is "buildings with technological supports". Yeah. it's not traditional Caslte designs old fans might expect, but would like to see some of them become real sets.
  11. Since Belle and the princess have their own theme, we might not see this piece for the CMF series.Would it be phsyically made or is just a piece shown in the story? Not sure. But for a blind bag, it could be a bit too obvious or heavier than the skirts we had before? Uh well, if you want them yellow just cause it's CMF series, what happens when LEGO begin to plan some regular Disney sets? You could be unable to put all of them together in the end.
  12. Haven't got to remember all characters and story details so some may be wrong, here's my first impression: There are many new cool items and some of the combinations of classic castle and combat machines. The castle tank is something I've wanted. My minor concern is that Nexo would be too similiar with Ninjago in its story how they portray the main characters, overuse technologies, etc. Hopefully it can turn out as different as possible. I also worry that LEGO is not giving a real damn to the continuation of Elves. There are obviously more characters and storytellings in the first wave of Nexo than we had in Elves 2015. Hopefully Elves can also go bigger in 2016 so that both can go together. Well so hopefully they could leave some room for regular Castle things based on the storyline, like the temple of Airjitzu. Yes, that basically says LU could be made.
  13. So beautifully made and also almost the same as the real thing, good job!
  14. That version of Jack Skellington would be a neat addition. Would love to see Sally come together. But the timing would be better if CMF Disney is put to be the last CMF series of 2016 :p . There's an Ideas project based on Jack's house, but sadly it's pretty difficult to make it as similiar as the real one from the film. So Jack might still be an option for the CMF series. Abit offtopic, wonder if LEGO has ever considered to do new head molds with studs on the top? Or they just choose to keep the Simpsons look perfect without hats?
  15. Oops, not noticing the update for time ,thanx . If that fairly ensures a possible return for LEGO Toy Story, I'd remove them from my CMF wishlist.I might actually want a CMF Toy Story line. But considering that some of the toys don't fit in minifigures and LEGO would not choose human characters (Andy or Bonnie), that may not happen.
  16. Suppose that Toy Story has never been a LEGO theme before, as a CMF series, I'd say recommend franchises that couldn't do a whole regular wave or building sets to join the CMF line. Mickey&Friends might be, if LEGO consider Clubhouse as a candidate for Duplo only. Toy Story 4 may not relate to Woody and his friends, so yeah, we probably won't be able recollect Woody from any future LEGO PIxar set, while Jack Sparrow might return in the future. Still, unused characters like Bo Peep would interest me much more. Disney Infinity line has many other populr Pixar characters (excluding those who can't be in, like Cars and Sully). I sure believe that it could be time for more Disney franchises to shine.
  17. Since PotC sequel is ensured and new LEGO sets are possible. Kids could still get those characters in these cases.A sad fact is that there are many gone licenses we'll be missing for a long time until the film producers plan to do reboots. But still, there are just too many Disney/Pixar stars and choosing the ones that have never been to LEGO would do good to everyone, wouldn't it?
  18. I'd say that expecting the third CMF Simpsons series is not a wise thing. Even without other licenses, Simpsons' existence is already competing with LEGO's CMF regular series in the view of annual schedule issue. Since there are other good candidates of licenses LEGO already cooperate with for some time, Simpsons shouldn't litereally monopolize the CMF series line. I agree that not all people could afford Simpsons' house and Kwik-E-Mart, but that doesn't say LEGO couldn't do some medium sets with other new characters so that consumers and kids can afford. If it's just that fans want to get new Simpsons characters in a cheap way (CMF series), that sounds abit spoiled. Not even mention Dimensions packs which are not really cheap, though perhaps, still fast for fans to get. As for Moe, I guess Moe's Tavern has a very poor chabce to pass the test as a regular set, but Moe the character himself doesn't have to be rejected. Hopefully he'll eventually appear in any set which is unrelevant with alcohol thing.
  19. No, cause Mattel brands are done by Megabloks. That's probably why she wasn't in the regualr theme then.I honestly think Toy Story would have looked good in minidolls since some of the main characters were technically "dolls". Minidoll Barbie would look much better than the MB Barbie figures. This. And given that these licenses have potential sequels for more LEGO sets, that request isn't really necessary.
  20. Well since this is Disney's rumor thread, Simpsons topic might have to end here. My last word is, I support SImpsons to extend to 2016, but that only means full wave regular sets along with new characters including Moe and Principal Skinner (probably a school set), not the third CMF series. With that said, saying that other licenses shouldn't enter the CMF series realm is kinda unwise in this License forum. For now, no new Princess heard in Disney Princess 2016 line is kinda a letdown. So I'm not sure if Mulan and Pocahontas should/could be in. At least, I'm willing to see the "unofficial" princess in this line. :p
  21. Why would Dimensions be in this topic? I mean, it's nice for Dimensions to add new figures to existed licenses (like Marshmallow Man), but Dimensions is still not the final solution to just asking more characters. Regular sets should be the ones we're more familiar and could rely on. Unless you prefer CMF series for personal reasons (like, cheaper).Again, yeah, if CMF Disney becomes real, it's gonna be a real licensing fight between LEGO WB and LEGO Disney and it's pretty much a disaster for the future of LEGO crossover world. The possible but not perfect result is, a LEGO Infinity coming .
  22. Uhmmm.... considering that there are only five sets and juding by LEGO's habbits, I kinda worry that we won't see all Flock characters outside this pic (that means Terence, Willow, triplets... etc). Hopefully there could be some character-based polybag series?
  23. Not being disrespctful to Simpsons, but it's not a good thought IMO.As always said, 1) LEGO is not adding more lines to minifigures so we're not able to have more annual series for now. 2) We should also consider to leave the opportunity for more feasible franchises, not just letting Simpsons monopolize the CMF line. I do think there are some missing characters in Simpsons, however, I believe that LEGO should focus on some building sets so that previous CMF characters can have a place to go. As for Disney, it may be my own preference, I think Disney has a bigger potential since it's already a collective brand with tons of usable franchises and characters and it's definitely able to pull out more thn one CMF series. But yeah, their character selection range is still uncertain (Mickey's friends. Disney Channel originals, action films, Pixar.... etc). Only the roster of first series can tell whether a second one is possible.
  24. A news that litereally more than ten thousand fans are waiting for. Hopefully Janine makes her LEGO debut :p. There is a grey zone. In the view of consumer, as long as LEGO is willing to keep their buisness with these licenses and do more sets that fans don't even ask for, it's never a bad thing. But it's indeed a dismay to project owners who made effort and lost time without getting paid eventually. Some others like SW and Frozen are at least more predictable. Now just wonder if Jules Verne and Emerald City also appear in LEGO's plan....
  25. Pinkish magenta is abit too over for me. But shades of purple should have been used, really.
