  1. The mini double-socket piece. Just perfect for those small connections. And if you're running out of the largers ones, just use a friction adder/extension and voila.
  2. If, from Onua's set, you just want the large torso plate eight times over and 48 tr. purple limb bones, like I do, it's definitely cheaper than buying doubles. Of course, if you want all of the parts in a set, it's going to be cheaper to buy the set itself; there'd be no reason for LEGO selling the set if it weren't.
  3. So probably just a poly version of the set, like the Nanomech?
  4. A polybag could feature it. The size is just right.
  5. Chain Cycle Ambush is probably just a preliminary name for Cole's vehicle. Jay Walker One could be an exclusive (possible) or a polybag (unlikely); neither type is shown at Toy Fairs.
  6. Yeah, the Bricks and Pieces service is great, and way cheaper than Bricklink in some cases, although for the really common parts it may be more expensive.
  7. I'd like to see the small Coelophysis recolor. What's the point of it being made if it's not being used?
  8. They removed it a few years ago. People apparently didn't understand how to use CCBS without the example of a set, which seems somewhat ridiculous (it's like basic bricks in terms of complexity, only the connection points are 3x as large, so what's the problem?).
  9. I think I qualify for the Black/White Hero Factory tag.
  10. Except for the actual talons, this MOC seems perfect to me. The semi-opaque swords look great like that, and the mix between the two shades of green used in the torso is just right.
  11. Actually, lizards and iguanas are completely seperate from the group Archosauria, which includes dinosaurs, pterosaurs and crocodiles.
  12. I am hearing that being said in the most dramatic voice ever .
  13. MultiMegaMurp looks awesome. And the Orbitons Max looks even better in the show than in real life.
  14. No they aren't. Pterosaurs aren't dinosaurs. They're related, sure, but they're not dinosaurs by any means.
  15. I hope it's either a blended version of Gali's mask, a purple Skull Spider, or, to really troll convention-goers, a tr. clear Hau.
  16. There may be a few things I dislike about this MOC, such as the modified fire swords or the weird butt armor (Is it supposed to hold the swords), but I absolutely love the way you used the Chima feather piece in combination with the smaller swords. The effect is absolutely beautiful. And the color scheme looks good, even with the ridiculous amount of gold you used.
  17. Still a nice set if you like building Serpentine Architecture, like I do. And, on another note, thanks to Minecraft and a recent Bricks and Pieces order, I finally managed to complete the Anacondrai Staff Shrine I built in 2012.
  18. That would be way too gory. And, while this isn't really a valid argument against it, the lava and bridges stuff that is so characteristic of a DF-type simulator would be way more useful for modeling G1's Ta-Koro. Anyway, who would be willing to put in the years of work necessary to make an official LEGO version when you can just mod the original to get a better one?
  19. I like it. I like how you filled up the sides of the windscreen - it gives a very different look from the shells I've tried. It's also nice to know about that new windscreen color. The light grey bit on the right arm's gun doesn't fit well with the rest of the colorscheme though, and I think the tr. neon orange is slightly too prominent. I would keep it limited to the windscreen and for the details of a few other parts of the mech.
  20. It's rather pathetic, really. The Oscar nominating system, that is, not the LEGO Movie. I may not like the song all that much, but it's still fun, and that's more than I can say for some of the other movies. And really, the point of these awards is supposed to be to award the best movie, not the one with the most important subject, whatever you may think that may be. It's possible to agree entirely with the message of the movie yet disagree utterly with the way it was handled, after all. Add to that the fact that the LEGO movie has a pretty good message anyway and it becomes completely unreasonable.
  21. I like all of the torso shell types. The Breakout shell, while not as good as the Brain Attack or 2.0 types when used for actual torsos, is far better for large MOCs, for the exact same reason: the triangular shape.
  22. I kind of wonder how difficult it is to pose Skull Slicer's arms in such a manner that their weights cancel each other out. @MakutaOfWar, I think you're underestimating the weight of the hammer. It's pretty bulky, and combined with the weight of the Chima shoulder armor it needs some serious friction to stop it from moving back to normal. Probably not three gears, but maybe it's just slightly too much for two, especially if the figure is moved about quickly.
  23. But Indominus Rex is a fusion of dinosaurs.
  24. I applied a modified version of Rayskull's design to PoS using the parts I had on hand. It looks pretty good, actually. There's just one problem: the Protector's reach isn't much further than its own chest.
  25. Indominus Rex having wings would kinda violate the Jurassic Park/World's "no feathers" rule.
