Regarding the Beasts, here are some concepts I would like them to feature: Quake Beast: Caecilian, something in the same aesthetic as Shadow of the Collosus' Pelagia or maybe a monstrous termite (besides the digging, termites will also explode to defend their nests if necessary). Storm Beast: Thunderbird would be obvious, so why not go for another kind of archosaur and make an electric azhdarchid instead? Much more menacing-looking and therefore more suited for a villainous role. Otherwise, maybe some kind of flying electric eel thing. Lava Beast: Salamander. Definitely a salamander, with molten lava in tr. orange as its main layer and with solidified black lava as armor for its upper back, like some of Nexo Knights' villains. EDIT: Also, Terak's light grey armor add-ons worry me.

I'm not sure how you can find the Fantasy Era dragons anything but adorable.
-
I like all of them now, even the horse. It may look a little weird, but its transformation amuses me for some reason. Also, I don't see the issue regarding the Chaos Chariot's faces. They look fine to me.

Mostly it's just that I fear that pieces will fall out when I open the drawer. I'm going to have to test this first though with a full drawer.

After having seen the new leaks, I've got to say that I like the new head molds, with the whole giving a similar impression to the Dinosaurs line T. Rex head and generally looking like an improved version of the 2007 Castle dragons. Not sure if I'll have the money to get any of these though. The new egg piece also seems interesting, although the fact that it is wider than some of the dragons raises a few unpleasant questions.

Jay's dragon's head looks a lot less goofy and a lot more streamlined now, but still very adorable. I'm also a lot less nervous about the wings. They look like they could work quite well. Since we're getting them in the Mixel sets anyway, I'm not dissapointed about the decision not to use the Chima claws in gold on its feet, as the new design looks much better. And we have both ghost Cole in the island set and normal Cole in the dragon, so that's good, although I'll probably have to use Bricks and Pieces to get the ghost version, since Tiger Widow Island still looks incredibly uninteresting, albeit a lot better than before. Cole's dragon is just precious. The other sets are too covered up by the prelim marking to let me see much. Also, I just realized that Jay's dragon uses mixel joints in its wings, which seems like a nice addition, although I wonder how stable that will be. Plus, Chima claws are part of the set, but they appear to be in glorious tr. blue and on the tail!

I still hate Kopaka's technic shoulders. And the fact that they're using technic as part of the builds, which throws off the CCBS aesthetic and just looks ugly. Also, too bad that they're apparently using 4m shells for Terak's shoulders. I would have loved 5m ones. Although those on Onua's upper legs look like they could be 5m.

I have to agree with Mandate on this one, but this really belongs in the show topic.

Lego themes that we would like to happen
DraikNova replied to YellowCorvette's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I just want more non-humanoid creatures to be honest. The humanoid template makes no sense to apply to anything beyond, well, humans. With minifigs as the stand-in for humans, I'd like to see some stranger alien designs. Even if it means keeping the theme's aliens limited to one species, getting an alien design that is, at least in principle, as customizable as the minifig would be a dream come true for me.- 451 replies

Those purple hands and forearms. I really want those, and like Shakar said, I wish we had a fluorescent version of tr. purple. I wonder if the little glowing spot on the far right is a creature or just Ekimu working.

I tried that exactly once. Luckily I learned from the difficulty I had taking them apart.

Or, if you want to ascribe some general worldbuilding purpose to them, they had some religious importance to whoever made the shrine.

I've never had a part break, and I probably put ridiculous amounts of strain on my parts compared to other people (Exhibit a: a 50 by 30 by 20 cm "bubble" of CCBS. Exhibt b: a tight mesh of 40 by 15 by 15 cm). Either there are a lot of very unlucky people on this forum, or some countries have gotten batches with parts of worse quality.

Personally, I'd like Wu to get a robe in nice calm colors. Like a sort of 6-sided version of the Yin-Yang symbol, but using subdued versions of his student's colors (pinkish-red for Kai, white for Zane, one of the many shades of brown for Cole, a light yellow for Jay to keep his part distinct from Nya's, light blue for Nya, tan for Lloyd and sand green for Morro).

Okay, so I got my Raaco 250 storage drawers, but the drawers, while they remain in the closet itself, flop to a 15 degree angle when they open, which makes them impractical for usage. I'm planning to return them, but does anyone know whether the Raaco 150 or the Akro-Mills lines have this design flaw?

The core of the squirebot seems like it'll be very useful. I may have to pick this up for the green version of the shoulder piece.

Really? The castle set dragons look cuter to me, to be honest.

Now all we need are tr. blue bones and another size of tr. neon green shell.

It's too long to be a 4m shell. Compare the shape of the little side-edges with a real 5m shell, and you'll see that they match up.

I only just realized that they have translucent armor and visors. That's just glorious.

Okay, so Cole's dragon is pretty much an upscaled Mixel, which is only to be expected, but why does Nya's cycle look glowing pink? That new piece on the front of the Toxikita look-alike's vehicle looks like a combination of the minigun piece with an enlarged version of the 2 to 3 wide cone. Jay's dragon looks awesome, and also kind of adorable (that goofy expression is the best). In general, the Pirate vehicles look pretty damn awesome, except that skull on the front of the zeppelin, which looks like a little too much white. I'm really saddened by how little Tiger Widow Island seems to be. There's no way that rock is anything but CGI, which leaves the rest as bare bones stuff, a few polybag vehicles worth and a bigfig. If I turn out to have the CGI judgement skills of a chipmunk, however, I'd be a lot more impressed. The little bagpipe-esque details on the Sky shark are intriguing.

Apparently, Terak has purple 5m shells (as opposed to Onua's 4m ones)! LEGO should really stop feeding my purple addiction.

Good god, purple bat wings. Definitely not going to pick these up (I'd feel mildly embarrassed every time I saw that dragon head mold), but I'm definitely going to nab a few of the parts from Bricks & Pieces.
-
I'm probably going to get Ultimate Macy (because Macy) and Aaron (so that I can finally give my green Galaxy Squad robot his wings). I love the evil version of the shield piece, and while Beast Master is pretty unimpressive, Lavaria looks like she could beat up most of the Nexo Knights simultaneously.

Yeah, it's got one of the best price to part ratios I've seen, and most of that seems to be rare or exceptionally useful parts. I'm going to make sure I have at least one copy of the set.
