Wait, is that a gecko on one of those shields?

That little samurai-bot is cute too. Hope that promotion will be easy to get.

Definitely hoping we get some sort of piece that'll allow us to make those spider versions of the ball monsters. They'd make great mook alternatives to minifigures and probably cost less plastic at the same time. Also, apparently both Whiparella and the flame-headed monster who's name I can't remember use the snake tail, rather than just Whiparella. Definitely interested in the decrepit-looking black knight figure seen as well.

Lego Nexo Knights TV Series Discussion

Really liking it so far. Kind of surprised at how few pages the Book of Monsters has. It's less than 400, at any rate, but I wonder how many of the pages are dedicated to more general-purpose, free-form monster summoning spells. It's also kind of nice how for once it's the one being double-crossed who turns the "we'll [insert goal]" into a "I'll [insert goal]" statement. I'd be really happy if, when the Book of Monsters finally tries to get rid of Jestro, Jestro turns out to have gotten too evil for the book to pull stuff like that on him. And judging by it's vocabulary, the Book of Monster can probably do a great Lee Wilkof impression . And I really appreciate how the grunts are capable of more than just grunting. I really hope the other special monsters, like Lavaria and Beast Master, actually act as characters rather than slightly harder to defeat mooks. -
I'd have included a silver or gunmetal shadow trap and maybe a gold and tr. apple green version of Umarak's mask. But I'm going to use the cloth as a toy/sleeping place for Terak. He's a pet, he needs something to chew on, and I suspect Onua'd prefer it not to be one of his huge toes.

Am I the only person who finds the Nexo Knights website to lag to hell and back? All those glowing patterns and stuff make short work of my computer. -
Antimatter Hideout is probably the worst of the Ultra Agents' sets from what I can tell, with a relatively bad parts value. Any of the Ninjago sets you mentioned are great sets, but personally I find the Morro Dragon to be the best of the bunch.

I just realized that there's a monster hiding in that swamp picture. It has three large protruding sections of teeth...Giant leech? Oh god please LEGO, that'd be the best thing ever.
-
I really hope Umarak doesn't get wings, or if he does, they're non-functional, undersized and purely aesthetic ones taken from one of the Beasts. Really expecting the "rock monsters" to be beasts covered with crystalline armor rather than true rock monsters.

Nexo Knights 2017 is 1984 confirmed.
-
Yeah, it's not so much that we're assuming that we'll get them, as much as that we're trying to come up with reasons that they could and might, if only to convince ourselves.
-
It amuses me how many people seem to think that mushrooms are a kind of plant rather than an entirely separate group. Personally, I'm hoping they're based on non-creature swamp organisms in general. Some sort of bacteria-themed villain would be lovely. And maybe we could get a pitcher plant at some point. For what is basically a disembodied plant stomach, they're immensely underrepresented, and I feel that they could work well as the Globlin equivalent for a swamp and decay-themed wave. Little root-coil feet and limbs and an open, gaping "mouth" to top off the pot-like body..
-
Yeah, I noticed the edge of the headpiece right after posting. But your explanation of how the rest of the things could work is appreciated. Making the sword out of rubber would be a really nice way to make it more mushroomy, too.
-
Pretty sure you could just store the eye as the sword pommel and connect the hinge to the axle running through the piece of unity, but they're probably not supposed to be used like that.
-
Good god are those awesome concepts. It's just...it's pretty much the works of Jonathan Wojcik in LEGO form. I really hope those are made into figures. The Hyphae Sword looks like it could be made using a translucent core to support a twisting white layer, but the lilttle mushroom pommel and the way Mushlord's head just blends into the top makes me doubtful we'll get these.
-
There are two blue swords: one is Nya's, the other one is Jay's.
-
I actually like Lewa's colorscheme, but I don't like the weird leg build or weapons, and combined with the general negative traits shared by this wave's Toa (that horrendous torso shell, the mess of technic that forms the internal torso), that's enough to make me not want to get him.

Huh. Didn't realize his lower legs were that long. I think the issue is that the lower legs look like they'd be much shorter if they were positioned at a more natural angle for a digitgrade creature (with a larger angle at the knees).
-
Yeegh, that's pretty bad. It sound shoehorned in.

I'm really hoping the volcano base turns out to be better than the Agent's one*, in that it actually looks like a volcano, with a slope up to a crater. And maybe some sort of summoning circle inside said crater. Although I wonder if Jestro's base is actually in the same place the monsters were summoned from in the first place. *No matter how much people want it, as one of the people who actually got it, I've got to say that it's rather underwhelming.
-
Hell yes volcano base! Is Magmar a bigfig (perhaps the other bigfig shown in the animations)?
-
I can just imagine the Mask of Ultimate Power having a black core, with the edges being a very dark, nearly opaque tr. smoke layer (like the difference between Laval's sword and normal tr. blue parts), to give the impression of a shadowy field surrounding it.

Oh god, how did I not notice that Umarak doesn't just have a mouth on his chest, but two adorable fang-like eyes as well. That is just the best thing. But yeah, his torso is way too pointlessly complex, his upper legs are almost twice the size of his lower ones...definitely not getting him. His color scheme and the mask are quite nice though (a few tr. green shells would have made him worth buying for me, actually). Not too excited about Uxar, judging by the large amounts of plain green visible in that combined shot.

Yup, that's definitely silver. Too bad that the rotten fish pieces pisces we heard about are just orange-colored normal fish.

Mostly, I suspect the "can't fight" is more an issue of being physically weaker than Jestro's lowest-ranking mooks.
