The fact that Jestro is apparently a larger figure (either constructed or bigfig) and Axl is larger than a normal figure kind of emphasizes that. Although I'd like to note that Fortrex technically includes 7 figures, since 3 other baddies could mean that Jestro's Volcano Base includes three Scurriers.

[MOC] Lava Village - Nexo Knights
DraikNova replied to Vorkosigan's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
How is that too easy? It doesn't reduce the threat posed by the monsters and emphasizes the BoM's power (since it's maker had to be powerful and smart enough to be able to construct a few hundred pages worth of monsters' without a template). -

How do you know? Sure, they could have existed prior to the book and been trapped in it, but they could just as well have originally been constructed by the book's magic. -

In-story, they don't actually have a place of origin. They were spawned by the book of monsters. And if I had to guess, I'd say that the buildings are made out of obsidian, which is pretty much your go-to volcanic rock in most cases. -
The little side tower seems to be made of cage bars. Rather strange considering it's also curved. A similar look seems to be present at the top of the tower. And the little four-wide staircase, if that's what it is, seems like a nice touch. Really hoping it's doesn't feature too large a vehicle for the good guys, so that a reasonable amount of the budget is spent on the actual set, but the comparison to Vladek's fortress made earlier is reassuring.

What about Nya?

As always, your work is great. The tr. neon green is remarkably subtle in its usage, the build has a good flow to it (the technic is far better integrated than in this year's sets) and Dendro has a nice froggy charm.

I like the use of an inverted windshield. Otherwise, it seems nice, but a little plain. I wonder what sort of function that knob at the back enables. Does it just turn up the cannons?

On the other hand, the Ghost Busters headquarters is of a size and detail level that it could easily be added to your modular row. On the other hand, it won't be retiring soon, so the pet shop is probably the better choice.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

Either it fell or it shattered. Not surprising. Oftentimes, if you take an old artifact away from the place it lay for centuries, it'll become incredibly fragile. There's a boat that's needed to be continually doused in water since it's discovery for that reason.- 4,591 replies

I'd say Kai and Nya vs Skulkins, Garmadons against Serpentine, Wu and Misako against Stone Army, Jay and Zane against Nindroids and Cole against whatever threat instigates the return of past villains (and because he hasn't been the focus character in any waves. And it'd be nice for him to actually get the chance to fulfill the leader role he was originally supposed to have).

Reasons this discussion is pointless: 1: We've got no idea what the official position is (whether it was changed from Thoth's intention officially or the site description is just a mistake) so far, nor any way to know either way. 2: This belongs in the show (and story) discussion topic.

Kind of dissapointed that none of the ninja has realized that they could just wish for Nadakhan to become suicidal or something like that. And barring abuse of wishes, how come no one realized that they could just set up a trap that would activate upon Nadakhan's poofing in. Just link up a motion sensor to a motor with a sword attached and bam, no more problem.- 4,591 replies

Because I can't use LDD without it.

This is beautiful. Perfect shaping, perfectly-executed modularity, perfect color balancing and greebling perfectly balanced so that it doesn't look overcrowded. Are you planning on making a Stingray ship as well? -

Heh heh. Love the use of that Knights Kingdom shoulder armor as a bed. it's amusingly appropriate. -
I love it. If anything it's even cuter looking than the original. The whole thing gives off a great insect-lizardman vibe, and the long neck accentuates the stork-like head. How did you attach a shell to the back of the lower leg piece?

I've tried saying that, but it never seems to work.

Well, Thoth is known to be a minifig designer for LEGO. On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if the TV series decided to make Flama female despite Thoth's intent, compounding the problem.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
DraikNova replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
The third season is almost as good as the second, possibly on par with the first, while (just realized you don't think of the pilot as the first season) the third is less good but still watchable. The fourth is closer to the pilot in quality and then seasons five ("Possession") is about as great as the first season.- 4,591 replies

Seems like a six pack and a garment with trailing lines to me. And I think this is probably the weirdest discussion this site has had.

Close! It's an epaulette shark, another kind of fish capable of walking. Here's my current progress: A closer look at the tail. Any ideas on how to improve this? An alternate build for the tail. Currently, I'm trying to build the head, but I'm having trouble figuring out a way to make the eyes expressive while keeping them reasonably in-scale. If LDD had it, I would use the round 2x2 jumper plate and add a mixel eye, but since it doesn't, I'm going to need to come up with an alternative. Any ideas?

Nope, and nope . Here's another hint: it has more fins than shown, but it can walk.

Can you guess what I'm making? I'll give you a hint: it's a real animal... Just a project I decided to work on to test my skill at building non-CCBS action figures.
