  1. Exactly my thoughts.
  2. A golem dinosaur, at any rate. It's even got wings!
  3. It's still valid speculation, and the best explanation we have for the appearance of the beasts.
  4. That would be the best case scenario, but I have little hope for it.
  5. In the prelims, it looked more like he had three basic fingers and a thumb. Also, I'm confused on why corrupting the creatures gave them lower jaws.
  6. Ronin has a skateboard on his mech's leg . It seems to be designed mostly for blending in with advertisements. And ditto on the dislike for the generic female face. Why does every male character get a unique print and Nya doesn't?
  7. I finished my dragon project. Have a teaser .
  8. Yay, we get a classic-style purple ninja hood. Also, got to agree on Golden Ninja = Lloyd NRG. The green dragon has awkward-looking legs and slightly too thin a snout, otherwise it's great. Funny to see that it has stud shooters on it's tail.
  9. These look pretty bad. Locked and gappy jaws*, use of the out of place looking tr. apple green for the head, lots of bones with questionable shell choices (looking at you Umarak the Destroyer) and while that new mace-like shell is cool, it doesn't make up for stuff like Umarak's clown hair tufts. And why does he have only two fingers now? Also, ditto-ing that G2 doesn't reuse parts as often as HF. It mostly seems to be a result of G2 trying to copy G1's over-detailed style. *Seriously, if they had such a hard time making poseable jaws, why couldn't they simply reuse an Invasion from Below jaw piece?
  10. Yeah, I didn't notice that at first either, and my reaction was the same as yours.
  11. Yeah, he's in the Volcano Base. Incidentally, he uses a white version of the new spike for his lance tip there.
  12. I think it's worth noting that it's opened up in the picture. If made a little higher, it'd match the show relatively well.
  13. They are definitely different. The chima claws (the ones featured in the Black Gate) have a very different shape: hollow, with one edge, as opposed to the four-ridged spike featured here.
  14. Not those. Those have been around since Exoforce. I mean the smaller ones.
  15. I'd like to note that the top of Jestro's castle features both a new spike piece (with four sharp edges) and tr. neon orange studs with minifig bar holes in them.
  16. The other character videos look much nicer and less jarring in contrast. Interesting how Makuta seems to use very different styles for his body and his eyes. I had always imagined his eyes either bobbing with the smoke or having the smoke flowing around rather than through/over them.
  17. Loving the look of Ronin's mech and the new Ultrasonic Raider. Very sleek. The recolored weapons are also nice, as is the inclusion of Sensei Yang. The question I have is: Why does a leader of a snake cult have a golem/mecha dinosaur? The Kryptarium escape looks almost juniors-ish in it's simplicity, and Zane's tumbler is so boxy that it reminds me of an ambulance. The lighthouse bears no particular resemblance to the show version, resembling a giant pagoda as many feared. At least we get the cleaning bot as a proper build, rather than just a 1x1 round brick. And Echo Zane is awesome-looking. Can't wait for the dragon, as that one looked best from the leaks, and I'm curious to see whether that's still true.
  18. I think the one made with wing pieces looks best. Closer to the square and elongated shape of the official version.
  19. Just noticed that Aaron's crossbow uses the triangle pieces the Thunder Mace uses in dark blue. Nice. Does anyone know what it fires?
  20. Moving several miles of farmland is difficult no matter how advanced your technology is. Personally, I'm wondering whether the swamp monsters are also going to be the result of the book of monsters. Hopefully, Jestro won't be abandoned next year, but I don't have high hopes.
  21. There are also fungi monsters, and from the looks of it some swamp creatures as well (something is sticking it's three tooth discs out of the water). Plus, plants can do pretty weird stuff. Smell like rotten flesh, signal armies of wasps to target encroaching pests, even vampirize each other. Meanwhile, fungi are known for being poisonous and capable of mind control. Whatever the exclusive is, I hope it brings us blue versions of the castle turret piece.
  22. Nope, the Netherlands.
  23. Nice. Really liking all of series 9. Hoping that the "not released in Germany" thing is false, because German lego stores and Shop at home are the only places I can find mixels (stores in my area don't stock them at all, inexplicably enough).
  24. Pretty sure these are just corrupted versions of Akida, Terak and Ikir.
  25. Not a rubber duck. A rubber toad. 8/10 compared to 10/10 for me.
