  1. At any rate, I'm hoping Nexo Knights's enemies are as follows: 2016: Lava demons 2017: Swamp monsters 2018: Sea creatures Why I want this? Well, the swamp monsters are obvious (Mushlord and Rafflesilady are awesome!), but I think the Behemoth of Brine would work really well as a show-only villain. We also haven't had an underwater action theme in a while, despite the thousnads of creatures that could be used as inspiration. That, and I have a weakness for anything cute and a sea theme would provide the perfect excuse for robo-epaulette sharks.
  2. I'm not seriously saying theorizing about Flama's gender, but I just don't understand how it can be that hard to get that right. I mean, why can't they just pass along a note to their web designers that says "Flama's female" or the like?
  3. It'd be nice if LEGO would at least explain why they can't stay consistent. For the time being, I'm going to follow x105's example and say that Flama is genderfluid.
  4. The show form of the little spider in Misfortune's Keep is even cuter than the set version. That, and Jay wishes for a ray gun at some point. That's all I took away from that trailer.
  5. To be honest, I wouldn't mind so much if it resembled Vladek's castle. That's one of the few castle sets (until know) I've ever really wanted. And if it looks like the depiction in the app, it'll look pretty cool, assuming they don't use the same spikes as in the Evil Mobile, although they probably will. Those always look so incongruous compared with the parts around them. Although that little turret on the side is cute, as is the unintentional face. Definitely going to be modding mine into a volcano though, turning that little split roof on the turret into a crab's claw and making the face-like patterns more explicit. Any ideas on how to make a suitable summoning circle or what a good final boss fight monster would be? I'd prefer to avoid humanoids. Maybe I could use classic demons and make a LEGO version of Hieronymus Bosch's flying reaper thing? That abdomen would look pretty good with a split black-red pattern, especially if I can give it a stitching sort of pattern, and that forehead looks like a craggy pattern would be a suitable interpretation.
  6. This would be the best-case scenario for me.
  7. Two new webisodes: and . Not sure what to think of Lavaria's voice (not really what I imagined for her, but it works). I'm glad they didn't have the (mostly) unarmored knights manage to desummon the bigger demons in Axl's episode.
  8. Personally, I'm hoping it goes for bunch of separate platforms along a vaguely conical mountainside build (with three sides, possibly in an angled configuration to increase accessability of the interior) and maybe an imposing gate, although I think that could detract from the look. Basically, it'd be like a better-executed version of the Chi Temple.
  9. I read that, but that still doesn't mean it has to be just another facade.
  10. I really hope it's not like that. I had that set, and quite honestly, it was a pile of junk. I hope the volcano base has more of the compact design style of the Fortrex, rather than being just another facade.
  11. I think BIONICLE is planned for a three year run, and LEGO almost never reduces the amount of time used for a theme. At the very most they'll slice off a summer release, but 2016 is not going to be BIONICLE's end. Plus, if they knew it was ending, they'd be trying to milk it for all it's worth rather than giving up. The issues with set design are just caused by bad choices, not lack of effort.
  12. I'd go for a robe-based design rather than armor if you want to try a technological mage design. And the cloak top would solve the hair problem.
  13. What's the point exactly of counting only minifig characters? If it's posability that matters to you, the bots have the same posability as a normal minifigure, while a Scurrier has two out of the seven points, If it's about the amount of plastic, it's about two bots or one Scurrier and a globlin to a fig, while Axl is effectively two minifigures. Customizability wise, the Scurriers are pretty poor, allowing only for swapping of horns (two points compared to a minifigures eleven or so) and maybe adding something to their heads, while the bots have ten.
  14. To be honest, I feel using orange would have helped make the orange Globlins and Moltor stick out a little less.
  15. Apparently the generic minifigure knights are robots as well. So the orange faces are probably the result of hologram display backgrounds rather than visors. And Beast Master's personal Globlins are like badly trained dogs. And then there's that picture on Moltor's page showing Flama seemingly being embarrassed by her brother. I like how Nexo Knights seems to be putting more effort into characterization for the villains than Ninjago.
  16. Loving all of these, especially Burnzie (banana horns! And a disc-launching arm!) and Flama (translucent Stone Warrior armor? Yes please). And that first picture for Lavaria is adorable. LavariaXJestro OTP . EDIT: Also, arguably, the little claws surrounding the Visorak's mouth in one of the BIONICLE movies could be considered their pedipalps. They extend from the mouth in the right way, at least.
  17. Considering that every spider in Bionicle we've gotten lacks pedipalps yet has been referred to as male, Flama wouldn't be the first. To be honest though, I think it's probably just the app giving Flama the wrong gender. Wouldn't be the first time.
  18. Oh yeah. I had misremembered that.
  19. Am I the only one wondering how Nadakhan never figured out how simple a loophole he had to wish whatever he wanted? All he needed was someone else to wish for him, and even if it had to be someone not allied with him (thereby preventing his crew from doing this for him), he could simply have tried to spread rumors about a proper protocol for dealing with genies, making the the polite thing to do when confronted with a genie to use one of your wishes to help the genie. I mean, he seems to be practically immortal, so it wouldn't be too difficult for him to set up, what with having all the time in the world and with the reward of access to his own infinite power. Even so, all he needs to do right now to get everyone what they want is promise the ninja that he'll stop the police hunt and return Wu from the teapot in exchange for them wishing for him to have his crew back. Also, why in the world did Zane not at least leave some form of air gap between his wifi and his main systems when he rebuilt himself? Without some form of physical interface to prevent remote access, he could be defeated by any spam that passes his firewall and similar systems. And Nya and Kai end up falling for the umpteenth obvious trap. Seriously, considering how often one of them gets captured, I'd expect at least one of them to come up with the idea to set up traps that activate in case of being tied up or knocked unconscious. And what's the point of setting up a complex mechanical protection system without at least adding some form of authentication? And Jay doesn't even bother trying to electrocute Ronin during the rollercoaster ride, instead trying to talk someone he should know from experience won't budge into letting them go (which at least makes sense considering Jay is...Jay). Seriously, why is everyone in Ninjago (except Ronin, apparently) so ridiculously incompetent? And why does Cole not even try to just phase into the ground rather than turn invisible? We know he can turn incorporeal, at least to move through walls. And considering how Jay's hand moved right through him, how did a pair of electric bolas even touch him? We know from the Possession season that ghosts aren't affected by electricity.
  20. Yes. That's one weird-looking print for an hourglass.
  21. I love that little evil dragon head over that pool of ambiguous green fluid. It's weirdly cute. And is that a dragon embryo in the school?
  22. #4: he becomes more evil than the BoM and absorbs its power. I can't see a new BURP piece in either of those sets. Only the old-fashioned ones.
  23. Rather nice, don't like the way Nya handled the admittedly and sadly realistic way she's treated and Clouse becomes 500% stupider than he was originally. Who searches for a genie without a well-written, un-loophole-able list of wishes? Being double-crossed like that is predictable. And if you want something from a genie, wouldn't it be a good idea to first get on their good side by asking what they want and offering to perform a service for them as well? Also, with how much random chaos and random powered beings have wandered around Ninjago and caused mayhem, wouldn't random damage be filed under the police's "this month's attempt at world domination" folder?
  24. Obviously it won't be a full mountain, but I'm really going to be dissapointed if this means another Agents-style volcano facade rather than a more imposing, circular, crater-like design.
