So that's how you did it! Brilliant! I always (or as much as possible) back my trans-blue with blue, but I never thought about backing the clear with white!

Somehow I saw your little brother's build just fine... but for the life of me this shows up as just a few boxes with red Xs... sounds nice from Hyler's description though... and scribes! I'd love to see those! Edit: I had checked your Flickr, but I guess you've added them since then. Like that hat rack, very nice detail - although which student has a purple turban? Love the fact that it actually opens, great touch! Not sure how all the grills you've use as border work, but great work anyways!

That's a good idea, only then it would be on your photostream (I'm picky )... maybe you could PM me the date once you have a schedual and then I could upload it the day before? I hope 30 pieces is close enough (more like 34)?... I'll keep it down lower in any future ones I do...

Thanks a lot for your suggestions, really appreciate the time you take to comment! As far as the red, I have to totally agree. Sadly, I don't have any dark red bricks (I mean things like standard 2x4s, 2x2s 2x1s, etc.). Good point about the windows as well, that is something I could have done better on if I had thought about it. Thanks! It really wans't hard at all... I'm not even sure how I did it!

IDK. While that would be cool and certainly fit with the idea of an Eagle Castle, the picture it calls up in my mind just doesn't fit with what we've seen so far of the theme. (More because of the stone than the nest). Perhaps, (and despite the numbering), this could be a speedorz set? The number does make it seem unlikely, but it's name strikes me as fitting better with things like Ice Towers and Fire Rings than Wolf Trackers and Lion Quads. (It's probably just me... )

Two (at least) things: I've already built one, but if I put it on my photostream (I won't be able to photograph it until the end of the week at least anyway, which means I'll have to live with anything I build on my desk or thereabouts until then ) then won't that spoil the surprise? (Not sure there is anyway to get around that...) Also, there's no reason to do only micro-scale builds right? I could make (my build is microscale, but in case I do more ), for example, a generic Kaliphlin with a... um... weapon rack? Or say a trader with a money-changing table? Something like that (basically, a small minifigure size gadget with or without a minifigure, depending on size/piece count - about how much are we supposed to have? Is under 50 pieces fine?) Okay, sorry for all the questions, I'm (almost) always like that...

Hmm. Sleepyhead is S6. If you're buying S5, you might have to keep buying them for quite a long time...

Yes, I have used the Sleepyhead hair for him sometimes, but it's not the same. It does seem like LEGO has no plans to release it... but I can dream, right?

I'll be interested in seeing how it looks once you've got some better photos, but for now, It's a very interesting (and good!) idea to put the entire thing on pillars. I like the lamp posts too, and the temple looks nice - though it almost has a Kaliphlin style to it! Nice sidewalk as well, though the way you put the railing looks a bit odd - nevermind, now I see you've got stairs there! Great idea! I was kind of thinking the citizens would just jump down... but stairs make a lot of sense!

Thanks! Yeah, it does seem like it would be hard to mold, however I was under the impression (could easily be wrong) that the hairpiece did exist in a different color. I'm probably wrong though...

Do you guys buy multiple of the same sets for play?

I haven't got multiples of any set, so far at least, though I would love to have two MMVs (for that matter, I'd love to have one). Some sets (like the ninja buildings in the first year of Ninjago) are designed so that you can combine two (or more) together (in which case, at least for display, two or more is great). I usually destroy a set pretty quickly for MOCing purposes - I believe I only have one built right now (although that one is from early 2011), so I wouldn't buy multiples for play, though maybe for the pieces (depending on how easily or not easily I could get the ones I want off BrickLink). -
We had heard that one before, with the original list. Given the numbers, I wouldn't be surprised if they were summer or at least March/April releases.

Apart from the Kings Castle (which is a very generic term), those sound pretty cool. I do hope the robbers aren't knights (but instead Robin Hood type) and are stealing from merchants, not the king (though, admitidly, that looked easy. He just let his treasure fly out the back of the carriage... )

That would be (IMO) a very smart move on their part, could you imagine a $100 exclusive with all the ninja hairpieces? (And I've been meaning to ask, what does D2C mean?) I know I'd be dying for anything with Kai's hairpiece (I'm hoping it comes on the S9 CMF plumber...)

Well, that was completely unintentional... but I'm glad you like it! I suspect you mean on the white house, I had to pry that off several times for various reasons - it's pretty sturdy so I got it to come off in one piece - most of the time! That was pretty much where the inspiration came from... and the fact that I had no way to build anyother kind of sloping roof that would match! Yes, that seems to be the problem. Especially with the minifigure (or, more accuratly, half a minifigure) in it, it almost seems like the canal just stops in the middle fromt the front picture! Thanks!

Thanks! The chest actually started out as a chair... it looks nice open but shut it looks way to tall! Yeah, the border was almost a last miniute addition, I'm not sure it's great, but having seen it without border, I'm pretty sure it's better than nothing and I don't think I could have done much better (almost no bricks left!). In my (biased, of course) humble opinion, this is (like Z's!) one of those MOCs that looks better in real life, especially the canal which is hard to really see well from those angles. I'm kind of wishing I got a minifigureless photo, but - well, it's too late now, let's put it that way!

I would say though, these animals look slightly more battle-scared. Maybe it's more because of the bloody scars though - as far as I can remember, the MF heroes scars aren't really red.

Glad to see you again DaMaximus! Let's see - Challenge V was the main thing, of course, DC came back (briefly at least) and build twice for Avalonia - I have a feeling he'll have another one soon - there have been probably around 5 Petraea University builds (more, probably, I did three myself), there was a fifth guild challenge (though you were still here for that right?) and Mikey B's Valaryio won, so he made a Valaryio Challenge (which I just entered), some talk has been made about a thread for our sig-figs to talk (I really can't say where that stands), Legonardo has made a mountain of free builds, I'm doing a story for my sig-fig, who is travelling throughout Historica - and, well I'm bound to have forgotten something(s), MK has changed his name because his sig-fig is missing (just FYI, I have no plans, ever, to kill or otherwise get rid of my sig-fig), and IDK what else but I'm sure I'm missing something...
