  1. I think TLG was pretty smart to "tease" us with just the back images (and edited at that), it's a bit of a shame for them that we're already seen S10! Now I'm not quite sure if I like it, or would rather have leaks first, but it seems to have worked pretty well this time...
  2. Why not a race between builders (you could have a specified number of builders, say, for example, Legonardo and MK face off)- whoever gets it in faster, well, they win (I guess the problem with that would be someone might do a really small vig, so maybe a fit size would help with that)? If the other person was almost done, they could probably use it as a free-build with a slight modification.
  3. Sounds interesting, I don't know if you were just talking about Avalonia, but I think a story build like that could be great!
  4. (That's kind of why I voted... )
  5. Sounds interesting! Another Lost Vega type city? Or is it just so small that if you're on a horse you'll miss it since you pass to fast? Or maybe,
  6. I'm doing that all the time...
  7. So, it seems you're conjecture was right...
  8. So I was right... the eagle castle is a Speedorz set! Shame it has those two speedorz, as I'm not particularly interested in either... but I like the tower design! (Doesn't look much like a castle though...), Srikes me as though the Raven Raider (?) is a bit... overweight? And such thin legs too... Other than that, looks nice!
  9. I'm having some trouble finding a map with Petraea, Quaker, and a mile marker, but by contrasting the mile marker with a streach of land, I think the distance would be between 190/200 mi. As far as how long it would take you to walk across there... I'll leave you to do the math there! Edit: Just realised that the marker says 20, not 30. So... more like 100-120!
  10. Great concept, I (naturally!) like the ninja section best, though the zombie road looks great! I think the pirate sand could use a few 1x1 round tan tiles or something similar to break it up a bit, but on the whole fantastic job! Must say I like the robot posing too!
  11. Yeah, admitedly I was thinking more parliment than judges...
  12. Thanks everyone! I'm glad you all like the pose of the sleeping student, I've found that that face can really come in handy, especially with the humor it (almost always) adds! Well, I don't have any 2 into 1 pieces tan, but that's a good idea! Yeah, that was why I used tan rather than white. Glad you noticed! (Thanks! )
  13. (Where you repying to me?) I meant that, for the era suggested by the wig (circa-Revolutionary war parliment in england, or at least that's what it brings up in my mind), I don't believe judges were wearing robes. Of course I could easily be wrong!
  14. Just go ahead and update the old post, tell your fellow nocturnians about it, and I'll bump it for you (since after all, it will be a new disscution right?) I know, I hate bumping my own topics as well!
  15. Yes, in fact there is (thanks to Nice Marmot...): Historica Map by nice.marmot, on Flickr Edit: that turned out smaller than I had expected. I'll make it bigger then...
  16. Nice job, that really turned out very nicely white! I like the idea and the guy cutting up the teddy bear adds a bit of humor (...but of course I think so! ). Great work!
  17. IMHO he won't/doesn't have a cape. I really don't see how he could, since that wig would flatten it out on his back. That said, I suppose the graduate's cape would be possible, but unlikely, as I believe judges from that era didn't really use capes.
  18. So maybe we will get MM (as I see it has already been abbreviated...)! I'm liking the top three figs, the white one not so much though. What I really like about it is all the tan slopes though... - Not to mention the 4 into 1 pieces... (Looks to me like it would be in the $15-20 USD price range. Have we had the rumored price yet? I don't remember... )
  19. There's no way those are short legs, I think it's just the effects. I mean seriously, a dwarf judge?
  20. Yeah, I can see why they'd recolor it, but making just half of it tan strikes me as a bit odd. Most All the chests I've seen (IRL) are one color throughout (except for, a few highlights)...
  21. I've done one more Petraea University build now, (click-picture-topic): And the next part of my story is up (more action, as requested - even if it doesn't look like it from this picture! )
  22. MK, thanks! There will be action... even in this one, but it will get more dramatic, I promise you! _______________________________________________________________________________ June 14th. We are traveling now through the Malakaris Swamps, and it certainly does not excel its name. Through rows of crocodile teeth and wallowing hippos we paddle by day, and by night we do our best to find a grassy plot where we can lay down without becoming soaked through with mud. We are heading toward Port Wrath, and I scarcely have high hopes for this one either. Be that as it may, our stay is sure to be a short one; in fact, we seem to be going to Nocturnus only for the bragging rights. The capital, Abyssan, is surrounded by the Moruth Swamplands, and they sound no better than the Malakaris. I can see why the Drow, Orcs, and Dragons flourish here, as well as why humans do not. And I cannot see why we have traveled here rather than the Enchanted Isles! The leader of the guild, Lord Ssilyrrlith, is not as powerful in his own realm as the other guild leaders in theirs. The Drow, accompanied by several allies, launched an attack on him. This was all the excuse Avalonia needed to do battle against the Drow, and that in turn convinced Mitgardia to war as well. However, as the land is now facing deadly elementals, and every Nocturnian feels that an enemy today might be their last hope tomorrow, the fight has tapered out (besides, the removal from power of one of the most influential Drow leaders may have changed the situation). June 21st. Reaching Abyssan was as much a nightmare as I had feared. We had to fight our way through reeds and swampy marshes every foot of the ground. But now we are floating down the Lick of Salt, having had to walk along the first few miles until we reached the Qarker-Cedrica Road, where the tumultuous rapids slowly cease as the thirsty desert absorbs all the water it can. Fortunately, the river is navigable up to the Oil Road, right near Petraea, although we have been told that in summer the width of the river dwindles so much that only the most shallow of barges can voyage through. June 19th. We have been attacked! In the dead of the night, just as the midnight moon was beginning to rise, a dreadful band of robbers crept up on us. We were sleeping peacefully when they came, and the first we knew of them was their tremendous war whoop as they charged down upon us. I turned over - I was closest to our weapons - and in an instant had my sword, only in time to defend myself from the robbers, who had kicked over our casks and crates, scattering all left and right. Ageven sprang for his sword, and Raz went toward his as fast as he could in the circumstances. At first I had thought there were only two robbers, but suddenly an arrow whizzed past me, and I glanced up to the top of the nearby sand dune. There stood an archer, clad in nothing but a band round his waist, and next to him, in a full suit of armor, stood the leader of the band. He seemed indifferent to what was going on, but he watched all with his piercing eyes. We were pushing them back now, and in the end, they left off, but not before taking our most valuable chest - the one with all the Ondylion delicacies. As I stood, panting with exertion, the bowman turned back to look at us. With a self satisfied look, he raised his bow in a strange salute. Then he disappeared behind the dune. I was startled - a fearful conclusion seemed to force itself on my mind. Even Ageven, usually so cheerful, seems to be filled with foreboding, and only Raz is his usual self. And at every unusual sound I cannot help but remember the strange salute, and wonder what it could mean. ___________________________________________________________ Thanks for reading! C&C are welcome, hopefully this one had some good action!
  23. I don't think anyone said this before: It stikes me that the chest in the Helicopter arrest has a brown top and a tan bottom. Just a mistake, or is that possible?
  24. I wouldn't be surprised it that's it - it looks almost exactly like it.
  25. I agree. Either that or a new mold, but that seems more likely.
