  1. (And congrats on your knighthood... ) And here is my Valaryio Challenge Entry: (click-picture-topic)
  2. My Valaryio Challenge MOC: (clicking the picture takes you to the topic)
  3. The capital city of Illyria is a prosperous metropolis, where many a busy merchantman peddles his goods throughout the city by way of the canals, and the Valaryan soldiers enjoy walking the streets in their spare time. And even here there can be found a Kaliphlin trader, ready to barter for almost any kind of good! On the bottom floor, the nobleman who owns the house enjoys a cup of wine, while his squire feches him a suitable repast, while on the top floor the lady of the house watches all that goes on down below! A Kaliphlinian trader makes his shop here - he has used the Kaliphlin tan but also the Valaryian arches. This is by no means the end of his house, it contiues much farther back. On top is his living space, and below his shop. Several more pictures on my Flickr! Feedback is appreciated!
  4. Congratulations! Great caption Sizzle!
  5. @MK (I see you've changed your name, but it's nice that the initials still work ), congrats on you knighthood! As far as I know no one has build (anything really), but certaily not the gates or Quaker, but of course I haven't been here too long!
  6. If you ask me, Ravens are a much better choice than Vultures would have been; Vultures are really weak birds that can only feed off already dead animals. Whereas I could see a Raven (of this size/proportion) do some serious damage in battle.
  7. Nice build, somehow the trees strike me as slightly out of proportion to the minifigures... maybe it's just me? What piece is that laying on the dirt on the other side of the fence? Like your snow work though!
  8. Nice job, I don't know much about your previous stories (as I wasn't really around then as far as I know), but a very interesting read nonetheless. Nice build as well, I like your architectural style!
  9. Those window panes look much better now , I would suggest a 4x1 (or whatever, depends on how big the yellow one you already have there is) strip underneath the window to tie the color in more though.
  10. Great idea! I probably won't be able to do any this week (no camera, I had to rush this morning to take pictures of my Valaryio entry), but I'll try to get a few builds ready for next week!
  11. I doubt any theme would use an exact CMF as a faction, perhaps as a template, but even MF changed the designs considerable. Especially if the Heroic Knight has a new helment though, I wouldn't be too surprised to see similar figures in a new theme.
  12. My guess is the answer is yes. It's probably not that hard for LEGO and most people will likely consider the minifig heads a huge plus (I do!).
  13. Yes, you did a good job expanding my idea... glad to see that using headlight bricks works just about as well, might have to refine my tower myself...
  14. OK, that's what I didn't get, I didn't realize that it was suposed to be actually in the University (I though for some reason it was supposed to be somewhere on the coast). Makes perfect sense now!
  15. I had been planning on monthfying my ninja avatar - but this turned out better - and he's my sig-fig anyways! Avenging Deraim! By morning (6:15 and 27 seconds) to near noon (11:57 and 9 seconds), plain Ageven Deraim. By the rest of the day, Super Hero Avenging Deraim! to
  16. I'm feeling the same, maybe I'm better (or think I'm better) building houses than temples? Should be done on Monday.
  17. I agree that Ninjago will likely be out first, almost a shame since I'm pretty much tied up until March, and I don't want to wait that long especially for Kai's Robot which will probably fly off shelves. Anyway, my guess is LEGO will save LoC until January (at least most of it) unless they air at least one episode (since I believe it has been confirmed that LoC will have a TV show) before then.
  18. Nice vig! I love the way you've attached the dragon's body parts, very creative! Nice fig positioning too!
  19. Nice ship! Awesome water under the ship, love the foam especially! You've got a nice creative arch there on the back with the sand green, however perhaps you need a few more pirates? (Maybe some of thier chests? ). And the thee men should know better than to trust Kaliphlins who paint their ship dark red and sand green!
  20. Very creative idea, though I'm not sure I quite got how it ties into the universtiy (except, I guess it is a professor/class). Nice rock work anyways, I like the beacon/lighthouse on top as well!
  21. Good point! Perhaps he was there... in spirit?
  22. Well, since it was my idea, I'm (of course) still in favor of it, there has been a lot of activity recently anyways, but it would be nice to hear about this from some others.
  23. Congratualtions Ecc, watching that build-off (even though it was just one MOC) was fun!
  24. When you say TBB - what are you referring to? Not the Brick Blogger, I take it (I've been blogged there but I'm pretty sure you haven't ). The Brothers Brick, maybe?
  25. I would say that's crazy... except, now that I think of it, that's about what I've been trying to do...
