Thanks guys! I hadn't really thought of it that way... hmmm. Thanks!

Another great build from you! The rounded corners of the castle are a great touch, the inside is also well done. The texture is good as well, not too little but not too much either! Also really like the trees outside the walls!

Very funny vig, the crack in the ground is well done and the idea of re-routing the dwarf is quite clever! -
[Simple Satisfaction] Ch.III Men Cat. C
Kai NRG replied to Jakorin Swiftsword's topic in Guilds of Historica
Excellent work, the landscaping is really nice and the inn is great, good work with the stone sections especially! Only one tiny nitpick; there's a deal of space visible between the roof and the A portion of the house (composed of logs), with a few 1 stud width plates on this side of the roof's underside that could be minimized at least if not completely fixed. -
Great work here, your landscaping is good and the castle architecture is very nice too! I also really like the dk tan slopes leading up to it,

Nice little vig! Quite a mistake there for the guards!

Book II Challenge III Cat B. - Unobserved Infiltration
Kai NRG replied to mpoh98's topic in Guilds of Historica
The rock technique you used is really good, good job blending it with the brown and then green as well! -
Fantastic job, the rockwork is really impressive and the trees and greenery combined with the water give the build a nice colorful feel! The exploding rock is brilliant and well done! It's true that it doesn't quite pop on the overview like maybe it should; I think because it takes a few seconds to distinguish the exploding portions of rock from the rest of the rockwork - it tends to all blend in. Maybe if those sections had been completely or predominately light grey?

Book II Ch III Cat B: Infiltrating through the Necropolis
Kai NRG replied to Gideon's topic in Guilds of Historica
The concept here is really neat, and I like the dreary catacomb feel. Your photography is if not quite just about perfect, as others have said it almost looks like a render! With Garmadon, I'll admit that I was a bit confused about the jagged rock on top; it kind of struck me as hardened lava fields but that was admittedly a bit incongruous!- 26 replies

CaptainBraunsfeld CMF GoH Series
Kai NRG replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nice series here, I particularly like the rogue, juggler, and scissor grinder! As for the UoP, I don't quite feel that I should give the credits; after all these are just minifigures from their respective builds and aren't really being shown living their lives.- 23 replies

Book II Challenge III A - Under Mt Erezhi
Kai NRG replied to NiceMarmot's topic in Guilds of Historica
You sure got some crazy balance trick going on here, I'd think the pinnacle must be pretty unstable! The lava fall is great, and thumb up for including a cave underground! +1 for the UoP credits! -
Somehow missed the UoP claims the first time around; +1!

Crossing the border - Book II Challenge 3 Cat.B
Kai NRG replied to jaapxaap's topic in Guilds of Historica
Great work, the purple roof is really eye catching and the tower coming right out of the rockwork is perfect! The idea of a diplomatic chest is quite sneaky too! -
A great little microscale farm, I really like the little pigs and the shoots poking up! The pans as tractor wheels are brilliant!
-
This is hilarious! The concept is superb and you did a great job with it! Great work on the rock as well!

My precise self has to correct your quotation - it's the powers that be. -
The curved wall on this is really nice, and I'm a huge fan of your use of dk brown round bricks! The tree on the other side of the wall is nice too, I like the hint of bright color introduced by its yellow flowers!

Payback time eh? Just wait... Garmadon and I have a great group of Avalonians coming... I really like the idea of a prisoner, and also the mother! Good work reducing those to brick as well, I especially like the baby in a basket!

Does TLG filter negative reviews on S@H?
Kai NRG replied to jodawill's topic in General LEGO Discussion
An important thing to remember when considering price increases is that it's not just the company wanting to make more money, but a price increase (bizarre as it may sound) actually is doing a favor to the consumers who really want that product. For example, if the price of baseplates is $5, obviously more people will be interested in buying baseplates than would be at a higher price. But if TLG is not interested (at the $5 price point) in selling as many baseplates as there are people willing to buy baseplates at the $5 point, then the logical thing to do is to raise the price. Then, at the new $8 price, less people will be interested, and TLG will want to sell more, so hopefully the two will balance each other out. Frankly, I think the jack is a bit reckless and overdone, but TLG has a better idea of what it's doing than I do I'm sure (I mean, even at $5 I thought baseplates were outrageous), and if the supply starts to exceed the amount people are interested in, the price will drop (maybe not back to $5, but at least a little). But my point is, the price increase does a favor to those consumers who really want baseplates enough to shell out $8 for one, who otherwise might not have got one if the price had continued at the lower point, and TLG decided (for whatever reason; maybe they could make more money in Europe, maybe production costs were going up, or whatever) it wasn't worth selling as many. Back to the point of reviews - while it is disconcerting that a negative review that was respectful got deleted, as MAB pointed out, if it mentioned the price TLG has the right to delete it, although how exact that criteria is it's hard to tell - can you say, the price is too high, or, the price point is really good - which I think I did say in a passed review once - or is it just mentions of a specific number that are taboo? Either way, that category does seem to be a bit tough to avoid - personally I consider the price a big part of whether a set is worthwhile or not, and if I don't have anything to complain about the product itself but still feel the review should be negative because of the price, what am I supposed to say in justification of my low rating?
