*At an abandoned tavern somewhere in Outlaw territory* It had been only two weeks since Kyle had survived Locklear's siege, and he now knew of the dangers that would be presented to Garheim. What he was about to do was risky. Not only was he in unfriendly territory now, but he was seeking a mage. The Captain found "The Busted Keg," a mess. Outlaws and bandits had left the place a mess. The air was filled with the smells of rot and decay. He could not have imagined why a mage chose this place to hide. "Lower the chain old one!" Kyle yelled as he approached the side of the tavern. Without the presence of the old man, the chain dropped, allowing Kyle to climb up to the top floor. "Well, well, if it isn't Kyle Melanes. To what do I owe this pleasure?" "I've come here to call upon your services... for Garheim." The old man chuckled, "Last time I practiced magic, I was run out! Had it not been for you, I'm certain they would have seen me killed!" "True, but that Alken, was a while ago." Alken walked over to his bed and grabbed a small goblet filled with water. "And I suppose, the rest of Garheim agrees with you?" He asked as he finished sipping some water. The Captain shrugged, "I'm not certain. But all I know is we will need your assistance." Alken started to stroke his beard then let out a resounding, "Hmph." "What do you need Captain?" He asked. Kyle pulled out a small note from his coat and handed it to the mage. His old eyes looked over the note; as he approached the end of it, Kyle could see the smirk through Alken's beard. "This is quite the hefty assignment. Tell me, how do you expect me to do this?" The Captain reached in his coat once more, pulling out a map of Garheim. "Right here, you will find a keep. I've had it outfitted with all of the required items to get you running. For both your safety and the people, Inquisitors have also been stationed in the same building." "So you planned ahead! Now then, is Knowles still leading?" "Indeed. He has been eagerly awaiting you return one day." The mage breathed a sigh of relief as he walked to the corner to grab his staff. "I have had quite enough of this dump. These vagabonds do not make good company for a mage." The two readied to head out into the city. "One more thing Captain Melanes..." "Just say it and it will be done." "Send the rest of the mages. Tell them there is work to be done." ---- Additional Pictures Built for GCXI- Garheim Secrets Hope you enjoyed the MOC. As usual C&C is always welcome and appreciated!!!

They were almost at the tower. Several miles of riding, now led to this point right here. The adventurers had the element of surprise, which would make their assault much easier. However, in between them and the tower gate stood a large force of Maukr knights. To make matters worse, the spire guardian would have to be felled for them to enter. As they remained undercover, they steeled themselves for the upcoming battle. The people of Korsven were counting on them to come through. Failure meant the devastation of the city. No one was willing to let that happen... ---- Additional Pictures Hope you enjoyed the MOC. I tried a new technique for making overhanging foliage. I really liked how this turned out, so let me know what you think! As usual Decals by Saber-Scorpion. C&C is always welcome and appreciated!!!

The ride through Korsven was bloody. Marco led the charge towards the spire, with Althenia and Rolf following. Their path only lead through waves of Maukr, forcing them to tear through the lines of soldiers. All who stood in their way were trampled or cut down. The city only had a little bit of time before it was reduced to rubble. With each step, they drew closer to their goal; getting out of the city was only the first start. ---- Additional Pictures Hope you enjoyed the MOC. Searing pains coursed through the witch's body. In all her years of using dark magic, she had never experienced such suffering. Someone out there, sent this... thing out after her. At a first glance, she had thought a spirit was following her, but now that it had her, she realized it was none other than a demon of torment. Researcher's Notes -Unlike most forms of lesser demons, these beings feast off of anguish. Their dark magic binds victims, tearing through their life essence slowly. While lesser demons have no connection to their victims, these beings fully merge with the victim's mind. This allows them to continue tormenting the victim even from afar. Recent studies have shown that targets degrade within a period of several hours to a recorded time of seventeen years. For years, mages have attempted to learn how these things are created, but none have managed to find concrete evidence. Despite warnings from the Paladin Order, many have sought out these demons to learn more, but none have succeeded in understanding more. Whatever they are, they do not feel as though they are lesser demons, even if they are "classified" as them. ---- Additional Pictures Hope you enjoyed the MOC. Finally, the adventurers had reached the last bastion of Korsven guard. The keep was not much to look at; it had suffered numerous blows from siege weapons and magic. As they entered the keep, they found themselves immediately splitting up to prepare for the counter attack. Marco departed for the armory. During the last skirmish, he was unable to retrieve his sword after shoving the knight, who was impaled by it, off of a cliff. Walking into the armory, he saw weapons of all kinds: axes, halberds, shortswords, longswords, and much more. "Take your pick, sir!" The quartermaster stated as he looked over the barbarian. He began to try out different weapons, but they did not give the same feel as his greatsword. "Do you have something more fierce than these weapons? They aren't the greatest." Marco asked as he returned an axe to its stand. "Wait one moment, I have just the weapon in mind." The knight remarked. Marco waited for a couple of minutes, before the quartermaster returned, barely holding onto a large sword. "Heh, now this is what I call a weapon!" Marco yelled as took the giant blade. In his hands, it felt as though it were made of paper. Meanwhile, Rolf was busy learning about the plan for the counter attack. "Rolf, good to see you brought reinforcements. I was thinking you weren't going to make it in time." The mage reached into a small pouch on his waste and pulled out a rather large magestone, "Well things weren't as easy as I had hoped, but nevertheless we're here to assist." The commander smirked then pointed to a marked map, "This is the work of Necros. He has raised a spire in the mountains, where he prepares for his final push. We believe he is going to unleash his monstrosity." Rolf tossed the stone up and caught it, "You speak of his Iron Golem. The very same creation that set the Drow free. Well with any luck, I can at least use this stone to cripple it, long enough for it to be stopped." The two men leaned over and examined the map more closely. It was going to take a good plan to get them close enough to use it. While, Marco and Rolf were preparing for the next step of the quest, Althenia found herself preparing the young boy that they had found for battle. He was very much inexperienced with a blade, but he had the heart of a warrior. She admired that, and sought to teach him, should the moment arise to fight. Althenia began by teaching him how to hold the blade properly then added some simply strikes and defensive techniques. If the battle ever came inside the keep, he might as well be able to fight and die honorably. "Are you all going to save us?" He asked as they finished their second sparring session. She gazed over the city; fire, smoke, and destruction dominated the landscape. The situation was grim, and the odds were stacked against them. "Your home will not fall." She replied. He asked her nothing more. That was all he needed to hear. ---- Additional Picture Hope you enjoyed the MOC. It is sure good to be back to building again! Blood and bodies became common as the party progressed towards the inner city. Upon arrival, the inner wall was a mess. Most of it was torn to pieces, but small portions of it remained intact. "No siege weapon caused this damage." Althenia stated as she examined the wall closely. The main gate remained shut; it almost appeared as though no one was home. "Wait. Do you hear that?" Marco asked as he stared towards the top of a lower section of the wall. The group waited, only to be met by a Korsven knight. "Mehrune's spit, someone did survive!" He muttered to himself. "Wait one moment, I'll get something to help you all up." Within minutes, an old, iron chain was throne over the wall. The child went up first, followed by his mother. Once they were over, the adventurers soon followed. Now that they had arrived, it was time to figure out how to turn the tide of this battle. ---- Additional Pictures Hope you enjoyed the MOC. The adventurers were not traveling for a long time before they found the exit to the streets. "Of course the door is locked!" Rolf stated as he checked the gate. Marco handed his sword to Althenia as he approached the gate, "Stand back!" With a mighty pull, the barbarian ripped the door off of its hinges and walked out of the sewer. Unfortunately, the noise of the gate, caught the attention of nearby Maukr knights. Rather than retrieve his sword, Marco charged into a crowd of knights, utilizing the gate as a battering ram. Even with their combined force, it was not nearly enough to overcome his might. At the same time, Althenia rushed into another group. Weapons swung wildly with only a few managing to connect against the fierce warrior. Even Rolf was forced into close quarters. Rather than rely on magic, he took the axe from the young boy. Even with all their numbers, the adventurers were more than a match against the knights. While the battle raged on, the young woman looked on in fear. She had never been this close to battle. However, her son found it to be rather entertaining. He had grown up on the stories of heroes, and now he was actually seeing it. ---- Additional Picture Hope you enjoyed the MOC.
