    Aye, I felt underwhelmed by the soldier sets of 2015... but combining them doesn't help that much either. Soldier's Outpost looks too squat and chunky, while Soldier's Fort looks too flimsy. Not that Saber Island was a sturdier structure, it just had a better arrangement of elements... everything looks more "organised". The base plate and palm tree also contributes to rounding out the design and makes the overall set look more substantial.

    Everyone's favourite LEGO digital designer, Jason B of The Brick Stop, has just answered the age old question: Can old town firefighter torsos and converting them to Imperial Guards? Well no, they cannot be converted into Red Coats, but they certainly can be used to create a whole new faction named the "Royal Marines" P.S. if you like Jason's work, check out his Gum Road store for building instructions.

    Ahhhhhh.... so this is where the photos used for the Classic-Pirates.com "Under Construction" notice have originated from... Unfortunately I have not yet had time to immerse myself in the story but I have browsed the gorgeous photos! I must say Captain Kusters, you've got a mighty fine photography setup there and the backgrounds are a sheer delight!
