  1. Ok, a user-specified window size... nonetheless, the background image should be centered so the two ships are in the middle. Which web browser are you using?
  2. That's the idea! Very good! Are you able to take a screenshot?
  3. Thank ye! But we're probably not quite done yet... there should be an Islander and Imperial Armada minfigure somewhere... and there were a couple of other minifig suggestions that we could probably squeeze in there. Like: Plus I'm still waiting for @zinnn to tell me the colours aren't balanced in the latest revision But to be fair, he did offer assistance but I've had focus on the interface more than the banner... and I think the title area is all that remains to be updated.
  4. Well now, I hadn't got around to mobile testing so I wasn't aware of this... But since it has brought such amusement, I might just leave it that way... for now at least. UPDATE!!! After just testing on mobile I get this: So which mobile device(s) are you using?
  5. This is great news! Keep us updated. The article for Series 6 Fortuna is mostly done, and another for the Series 7 will commence work sometime in the future. But we have plenty time as crowdfunding still another 10 months.
  6. Great work, Jenna! Now we can weave a captivating tale around the pirates who fly this particular Jolly Roger design... It would be fantastic to see this design (or a variation thereof) rendered in the real world!
  7. Seeing things from 20 years ago you don't remember writing
  8. Let's see if @Piraten still visits the forum...
  9. Of course! With links to your social media profiles too. I'm writing a series of articles which covers the evolution of the Fortuna from Series 5 to 7. And will publish them strategically to coincidence with key BrickLink Designer Program dates. That way we can familarise Fortuna with AFOLs long before the Crowdfunding phase starts... and keep reminding them it's coming! There were a couple more photos I was hoping to use to help keep things fresh - rather than recycle the first photo in every article.
  10. Give it a try and see what you can come up with! Then good look in your noble quest! The display looks awesome in its present state with just the assortment of class sets. 💯
  11. That's brilliant! That's exactly what we need! In addition to the promotion of Fortuna, do you mind if the photo is added to the Classic Pirates fan gallery?
  12. Thank you for the clarification! Also, I wanted to get permission to use certain photos because having smiling faces helps with the promotion. Like this one for example...
  13. I've been using AI tools to tidy up and expand the classic artwork for web use - like you see in the banner at the top of this forum. Don't think it would hold up to large-scale print standards though That's an interesting approach - could they achieve the correct style without it looking as though it was created by a different artist? And therein lies the next challenge... the artwork in print resolution, at a size large to accommodate your display. That would probably cost thousands!
  14. That would be absolutely fantastic! But where could such a large scale printout be found? It's something that may only have ever been produced for store displays... if it even exists at all.
  15. Here's an even crazier suggestion... Paint the back wall sky blue!
  16. Indeed it is! Half the battle is having a decent lighting setup so you can achieve nice, clear images. Whereas, dark, grainy and/or out focus photos tend to lower the over presentation not matter how well the shots are framed. And therein lies the other half of the battle... Framing the shots so they hone in on the details and look captivating. The shot below stands out because it's a close-up one particular detail/set, while effectively utilizing depth of field to render the remaining display as a backdrop. A recommendation I would make... if within the realm of possibility... is to mount a blue sheet (or something similar) to the white wall at the rear, the create the illusion of sky.
  17. Indeed it is! This announcement is supposed to be for Open Submission - so I've updated the first post. Thank you for you keen eye
  18. Congrat-ye-lations on your BrickLink Series 7 success! The Fortuna has a long history with the BrickLink Designer Program as its been submitted in multiple series. Time to start documenting the evolution this build on the Classic-Pirates.com blog! So if we were to put a timeline together: The Fortuna was originally submitted to Series 3 as Imperial Frigate Concordia Then submitted again to Series 4, also as Imperial Frigate Concordia It was revamped into the Privateer Frigate Fortuna for Series 5 Then under went upgrades for Series 6 and submitted again as Privateer Frigate Fortuna And finally submitted to Series 7 as Privateer Frigate Fortuna with different presentation Does seem about right?

  20. An update has been rolled out that hopefully improves this.
  21. It's grinded to a halt because I've become too busy in other areas of life. Do you have happen to have experience in HTML and CSS?
  22. Yer topic has been moved to the Pirate MOC Forum!
  23. Do we no longer have Pirate Regulators and Moderators to perform basic housekeeping? And ask that because I'm stretched to the point I'm struggling to visit Eurobricks at the moment. But thank you for bringing this to my attention!
  24. Actually, I'm quite far south... getting close to Antarctica.... but not quite that far south.
  25. Nice to know the banner has fueled your imagination! However, it's more a case of the banner being a lot wider than it is tall, so that doesn't give much room to work in. The moon is actually AI generated with no consideration whatsoever to where its face is positioned - it was a case of getting something done as quickly as possible because I don't have much free time at the moment. Maybe it gets replaced with a more accurate moon at some point, but for now I'll focus on updating the light/day time banner. I'm based in the southern hemisphere and from my perspective the moon rises from the horizon and gradually climbs higher and higher throughout the night. Never have I seen it set, but rather it just become less visible in the sky as the sunrises. And I've got up at the crack of dawn while it's still dark and watched hundreds of sunrises to make that observation.
