You see the Imperial Armada was occupying the mansion for lack of a better outpost, but eventually they found a much more suitable building (to be depicted in a future MOC). Governor Broadside was out for a cruise one day and spotted the abandoned mansion and went to investigate. He liked it so much he decided to make it his residency so what you see here is the renovating process. However, if you'd read both threads then you'd know I originally intended to build a Imperial Armada fort, but it turned out looking too elegant so I began evolving into a residence for Governor Broadside.

When I get my new digital camera I will be revisiting this MOC so I probably will rid the cannon and call it a villa. I'll probably also remove the soldier mini-figures, but a servant? Is that politically correct these days?

And you should be aware that the Imperial Soldiers didn't have an Admiral, they had a Governor so you might like to amend question #11.

I intend to buy a new camera in the very near future but it probably won't be till early in the new year and once I get that expect to see more MOCs out of me.

This issue was raised in the audio commentary by Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio who reminded everyone the Kraken only trashes a ship in 2 scenes - unless you count the scene where it pulls down a ship but the actual Kraken isn't visible on screen.

Being one's own worst critic is is quite a common phenomena, but don't worry I'll be your critic for you :-D You have got the fishing village look going, maybe you could add one of those LEGO nets to add to that image - although they're not that easy to come by... But look at it this way... First time you do most things it doesn't come out the way you hope, so the key is to keep at it and eventually you'll get there. So attempting this fishing village twice has been a valuable building experience for you. Should you ever create another version it would probably be even more to your liking...

Second But just because they were red in official sets doesn't mean they have to red in MOCs Actually I didn't realise that was a boat house... There's definitely nothing wrong with your MOC, I'm just a traditionalist! How come you're not real crazy about the overall MOC? What do you think needs improving?

My latest addition 1696 Pirate Lookout MISB I also went digging round the archive I discovered a 6246 Crocodile Cage and 6236 King Kahuka (both in MISB condition) which I forgot I had. I'm seeing a builder this afternoon in regards to constructing my new facility which will give me enough space to put all my Pirate LEGO on display. Yaaaaaaaaaay!!! X-D

I've noticed that the USA has always been cheaper than where I am, however parts of Europe like Belgium and France are cheaper still. Although they seem to be selling reasonably at the moment otherwise I would have bought some internationally myself. Which sets were these auctions for Mr ImperialScouts? Well obviously, but I was expecting for something a little more precise.

Lets try this picture... That is a very suitable head for an admiral, its almost an update of the actual Admiral head. Other themes provide so many useful heads for pirate creations.

The only mid sized Islander set was 6264 Forbidden Cove but I distinctly remember some catalogues saying that 6292 Enchanted Island included a poster too, however it didn't really give an indication to what that poster was. So its probably the same one.
