  1. Excellent work Mr Oo7! Yes it could go in the History and Adventure forum but I think there's enough crossover with the pirate theme to keep it here. Its because I think this MOC is a good example of the kind of architecture The LEGO Company could have used for Imperial Armada sub-theme sets. But obviously not as detailed and involve as this MOC.
  2. So this is in the name of reconnaissance? This will be quite interesting indeed. I haven't been brave enough to try this - but then again I haven't been MOCing much lately due to being disheartened with the results of my digital camera. I must get a new one soon.
  3. Cap'n Kirk could you check your links before posting them because this is the second wrong link you've posted in the space of 10 minutes? I can't work out what the link is supposed to be so could you fix it for us. Also, remember to post MOCs in the Pirate MOC Forum
  4. Good find Cap'n Kirk - not sure if we've seen this before but someone will confirm soon enough! Could you post MOCs in the Pirate MOC sub-forum?
  5. Good observation Bonaparte! Aren't they Vikings?
  6. But sometimes you strike it lucky!
  7. But what if you could get the MISB set for the same price as a used set?
  8. Lets see how long he can keep this level of posting up :-D Where can we find this "rather good" picture of the new rifle Mr ImperialScouts?
  9. Cap'n Kirk, you're from the USA are you not?
  10. Lets us know how you go Cap'n Kirk. Also take progress pictures if you can so we can see exactly what you're up to.
  11. Apparently Office Max does. But I don't like in an area with an Office Max so I can't confirm that.
  12. I think most of agree that LEGO should re-release more Pirate sets if they're not going to release new ones.
  13. During my childhood Pirate LEGO was still in production so there were millions of MISB Pirate LEGO sets. Opening them was no problem because at the time it never occurred to me that one day they'd become rare and valuable. How things change...
  14. Do you think he'd be interested in discussing his MOC with us?
  15. It just depends how fast you work. If you post a feedback picture every couple of days you should get a few posts in between, but if you post one every couple of hours then you might not be any. However, keep a record of your progress can be interesting and beneficial for your MOCing skills.
  16. We need a tutorial for this kind of thing! Find me a tutorial maker now!
  17. I'm beginning to lose track with which ships have been posted here and which ships having. I've seen a similar colour scheme however that particular MOC was using the 6493 Flying Time Cruiser hull. I think it actually worked better than the brown hull - stylistically that is, realistically it didn't.
  18. If someone wanted to build a more historically accurate MOC how would they make a wooden ship without being too brown? Are exotic birds normal for medieval ship? Look a the birdie on the bow!
  19. Everyone is an "old chap" late at night... Lethargic silliness sets in. The season I suggest progress pictures is because its easier to give feedback when there have been some changes, rather than "here's the built ship, tell me what you think". With the progress pictures we can guide you towards the design's resolution - if you want that level of feedback that is. It would probably also slow down construction depending how fast the feedback was posted. But anyway, it was just a thought young laddie :S
  20. Do we know who the builder is? Maybe he was originally building a castle MOC and decided he wanted to mkae it float. :-D
  21. Obviously KAHUKA and Island Boy consumed 2 of the "Love them" votes, but who were the others? I thought there would be more disgraces.
  22. Do we have a tutorial for this kind of thing yet? We should yers know?
  23. But that still doesn't explain who voted "I Love them"
