Request Pirate Lego - what future sets would you like?
Mister Phes replied to Norro's topic in LEGO Pirates
And it would make the users here look more serious and dedicated to the pirate cause. If someone had to "ferry" responses from another forum across here I'd be wondering why the users don't just sign up themselves. Obviously time is an important factor, but when someone is truly dedicated to something they manage find time to support the cause. And if we ever expect to see another SYSTEM Pirate theme again we'll probably need a lot of dedication going by the way things are these days. -
What do you mean by sell and buy a MISB? Where's the selling come into it? But as for the Yellow Castle. You haven't really answered. So hypothetically if one day in the future you had the space and the MISB yellow castle, would you open it?

It would also look better on our behalf if users here registered their own Lugnet accounts too. Lugnet may not shine down upon us kindly if we dump opinions from users that aren't registered to their forum. We don't want a bad reputation for abusing other forums afterall! -
Well that depends on the artifact doesn't it? Artifact seems to range in value, a pyramid filled with treasure would seem to hold greater value than some rusty spearheads lost in the desert. It wasn't until yesterday I decided to preserve it because I wasn't aware that it was so delicate. But surely there's a way to preserve old gray and use it, while once a MISB set is opened then its no longer a MISB set and its value significantly decreases. You don't have the choice to sell, its either open or keep in MISB. Which one is it?
-
I already said in the future I was taking measures to preserve old grey in lieu of you educating me Mr Norro. Where did you get the idea that I wasn't planning to preserve it? Now I must ask Mr Norro, if you happened to come in possession of a Classic Castle set in MISB, lets say the original Yellow Castle or 6080 King's Castle would you open them?
-
Do you suppose you could look into that and fix the problem?
-
Not even the inclusion of mini-figures?

Yes I was thinking of ads. I.e. Google but I know little about the Amazon affiliate program or CafePress. Could you elaborate further upon these? -
AAAAAAAAAARGH!!! Those blasted studies! Always interfering with the more important things like MOC building. When are your finals?

And how would I do that? I want the Pirate LEGO forum to be completely free indefinitely. -

I was going to contact Steve just to see what he had to say about the matter. But I wasn't really going to push the www.pirate-lego.com domain any further. -

I'll have to fit the bill myself then attempt to make the money back through adds or something. -
I just bought a package off eBay which included domain registration and webspace for about US$30 PA. It does me fine and I've had it for over 3 years now. Do you only want the domain or will you be needing other things? I suppose a better question would be: For what purpose are you considering to register this domain?

There hasn't been enough community input to determine a name, so far you've suggested piratebricks.org and Norro suggested classic-pirate.com. But I'm already aware of the ramifications of registering pirate-lego.com, but what I'm not aware is the ramifications of making an inquiry to use it... -
The different between MISB and old grey is there are significantly less MISB Pirate sets and its a lot easier to acquire old grey. Furthermore comparing a parts to a complete package isn't exactly the same thing as the sum of all parts combined are greater than the parts separately. I shall repeat the MISB sets contain old grey so by preserving those the grey old grey gets preserved along with it. The old grey I acquired was already second hand and those before me were responsible for desecrating its purity. Nevertheless I think some old grey should be preserved. But what are you getting at Mr Norro, should we not make an effort to preserve ANY LEGO? And sadly zoos are the only reason some species still exist, however animals breed but MISB Pirate LEGO sets do not.

That's an interesting way to make a boat hull Mr Phred, shame about the gaps though... Is there an easy way of concealing those?
-
So what else is left to be to the the Acheron, Mr Tiber?
-
Slightly off topic... What's that red thing on the far side of the bow?
-
Is there an echo in your above post Mr Tiber or did you post the same thing twice :-D But anyway... Is there more to this interior than just cannon?
