Has anybody used the sails from 10320 Eldorado Fortress sails on the "cutter" from the 6277 Imperial Trading Post? Specifically I'd like to know if the new sails are a good fit for the old ship. I've got 2 sets of 6277 sails but both sets are worse for wear, so I'm wondering if the 10320 sails are a suitable substitute. Here are some comparison images of the entire ships I've found on Reddit - but does anyone here have firsthand experience? Based on the below images, the colour of the sails on the new version leans more towards olive than than, and the crown emblem is different, but the size seems comparable.

You may use relevant parts from other themes, but no entries focused on Castle/medieval, Vikings, Adventurers, steampunk, modern pirates, space pirates, etc. or even cross-overs. Minimum of 25 Pieces and a maximum of 200 Pieces. What's the Piece Count for the Large Category? Minimum of 201 Pieces but no maximum - so go crazy! Now you've got the idea! That should afford plenty of creative freedom to those who don't have a Steve minifigure, or don't want to be too tied down to the classic Pirate set lore. But definitely no pirates from pop culture!
-
Very warm welcomes indeed, to our humble LEGO Pirates forum! Interesting how Brick Clicker doesn't actually use that image in the video - it's only present in the video preview/thumbnail image: Instead, he uses the same historic photo as the image used in the first post of this topic, albeit in a more pristine form. So maybe that's a hint for us.
-
No, not really, this isn't "free choice" with Steve. Steve is not a time traveler so entries will need to be a pirate-themed MOC set within the Age of Discovery/early to mid Age of Sail, depicting technology available to that era. But some flexibility will be afforded if someone wants venture outside of the Caribbean setting. For example: on his voyage from Europe to the Americas, Steve was captured by Barbary corsairs.
-
Well... in the interest of creative freedom we'll probably go with The Infamous Steve... but he may have traveled to Distant Waters during his many adventures. So that should provide possibilities for entrants who want to tie their entries in with the lore established in classic LEGO Pirate sets... but also allow opportunity for those who want expand upon their horizons and explore pirates from other parts of the world. Monkey Island Madness can be saved for another occasion.

Ok, so I may have taken some creative liberties there For those who haven't seen National Treasure, Benjamin Franklin Gates is the protagonist of the movie, portrayed by Nicholas Cage. In the prologue of the first film he's on an expedition to the Arctic in search of The Charlotte, a fictional ship with many parallels to The Endurance. However, the wreck of Endurance wasn't discovered until March 2022, almost 18 years after the film was released in cinemas.
-
Various LEGO fansites have began reporting that this year’s flagship LEGO Black Friday release is rumoured to be a recreation of The Endurance, the ship in which Sir Ernest Shackleton embarked on his Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition between 1914 and 1917. The following information has not be officially confirmed: 10335 The Endurance Ship will contain 3,500-4,500 pieces and retail for US$259.99 / £219.99 / €259.99 in Europe and be released on 29 November, 2024. Shackleton's voyage ended when The Endurance became stuck in the ice of the Weddell Sea and the damn thing wouldn't budge. Decades later, it was blown up by Benjamin Franklin Gates during his 2004 quest to retrieve a meerschaum pipe.

Do I require 10 Posts to submit a Building Entry? No. You may submit a Building Entry as your very first Post. Do I require 10 Posts to participate in the Creative Critic? Can I use AI Generated Content? All Building Entries, Creative Critic feedback and written Contest Participation must be created organically, I.e. authored or designed by human. However, anything that can be built with LEGO cannot be generated artificially in any capacity. Can I Get Disqualified? Yes. You'll be removed from the contest if: Your posts or entries are off-topic or considered to be spam Your posts plagiarise other entrants submissions, or material from other sources You demonstrate negative or disruptive behaviour. We can more readily identify fraudulent accounts and activity via our own platform, rather than a social media platform such as Facebook or Instagram. If you don't currently have a Eurobricks account, please register one now. Why do I need a minimum of 10 posts to Vote? This is a standard Eurobricks requirement for all new accounts to ensure they have been created by a living person and not automation software. It is also a deterrent for living persons to create multiple accounts, or use Eurobricks purely for image hosting purposes. You may accumulate 10 Posts by replying to topics within any of the Eurobricks forums. There is no requirement to exclusively reply to contest topics to accumulate 10 Posts. How can I accumulate 10 Posts before the Contest starts? If your account is newly registered, to gain your first 10 Posts you may: Reply to Building Entry Topics! Repeat offenders who write brief posts to inflate their Post Count or Sabotage other Entrants will face Suspension. Why must my Eurobricks account be registered prior to the specified date? Again, this is to ensure voting legitimacy. We do not permit the creation of multiple Eurobricks accounts to vote. What happens if my Eurobricks account is registered after the specified date?
