If I could find them for $25 right now I would get like 4! :oD I am working on a sandstone catle and could use some of those great parts. I ended up getting one for $50 and a second for $35. I have only passed up city and some harry potter sets when they got at or below 60% off. I can't pass up a deal. |-D I got two Border Ambush sets for $10 each and seven of the small HP set with the hippogriff for $4. I am waiting for some other sets to hit or drop below 50%. For those of you in the US I suggest going to your nearest Kmart. On Sunday, certain Kmart stores will have 10% off clearance toy prices. I wonder when Target will clearance their sets? Today maybe or next week. It generally happens on a Thursday. This is a month for bargain hunters. I hope to get some great finds. Best of luck to all the other bargain hunters out there. Remember if you pay full price you pay too much!

Yes, yes buy this. I got two for cheap and I haven't regretted a second of it. The parts are all earth tones that are great for just about anything. Though I think you should build it at least once if you buy it. It is a fun build and it looks very nice once completed.

Don't take anything Wolf says seriously. He spouts off at the mouth all the time but it never really adds up to much. Didn't you read his sig. ? FBTB does have some more uptight people due to the immaturity of some of it's younger (and older) members. Some people can be quite annoying. Remember this is Eurobricks, if it is announced here you can pretty much know it will happen. Though it has happened that somethings get leaked so early some times that the idea is scrapped and replaced by something else. To be more on topic :| 8-| :$ I will be getting some of these. I am not a huge fan of SW sets but I am sure some of these will be great. I just hope the Slave 1 isn't like Jango's $49.99 over-priced monster. And just think, this is just the spring sets. 2006 is the LEGO SW push year. I think we will get even more in Autumn. :oD

Well, after taking a quick look it seems as though we have 40 responses so far. Almost half of the 100 person goal. :) I would like to make it to almost 500 but we shall have to wait and see. It appears that some of the people responded twice but I will get that sorted out before long. For those who haven't yet taken the time to help out please do so. I would like to see 50 by July 1st. There are 31 days left until the August 1st deadline. If there are at least two responses a day between now and then we will have 100+ completed survey answers to send to LEGO! :-D I am crunched on time this week but I will see about *cough*spamming*cough* the request reaching more people. :-D I still need a brave soul to post at least a link to FBTB as I only have a free internet address I can't. It would be great if someone who knows German could get a link on 1000Steine, and a bionicle fan to get a link on BZP. Or any other site you can think of that has to do with LEGO. Please! :D I will try to pull a brickshelf battle stunt and get some people to see the link there also. :^D The snowball has been released we shall see if the snow is sticky enough to make this a boulder. :oo The LEGO revival!

Hello Joker! You will like it here. Enjoy the forums.

You know I think children will actually like these. When I was eight I loved dinosaurs and guns/weird ray shooters. I collect castle so these don't really say to me "come buy me!" but they have some merit. The dinos look much better than they did at the toy fair. I think I will get a few and see if they are okay. If anyone liked a scifi dino theme idea you could build weapons and a seat of some sort onto the back of the larger dinos. Those would be pretty nice I bet. Something like this

Yoda, please post this quote to that site also so that the people there will see that this is in fact going to be read by LEGO and it is not just a unseen opinion poll. Thank you for your help. :)

Bricklink can be great but there are sellers similar to many on ebay, PIRATES! :^D Really you shouldn't have a problem. Make sure you read the splash page and the store policy page. Most international sellers will give you exactly what they charge based on weight or dollar amount. The also let you know about the methods of payment you can use. You can click the number next to their name to see their feedback and find out how well they treat their customers or how fast they are at completing an order. Be careful though, Bricklink is a great way to become broke fast. You should soon find sellers who are reasonable and have good customer service. The nice thing about bricklink is you are not competing for something. The bad thing is that sometimes you must pay a little more.
-
I see your point. If LEGO came to you and you had to choose between two pirate theme sets for them to produce that have exactly the same price, one is an island set with 247 pieces, three figures and a small ship, and the other set is a ship with 401 pieces, 4 figures and a black monkey which would you have LEGO produce. They can't make both. Which one has more value concerning your money? Those are the things you should look at.
-
The "Value" question asks why do teen/adult people have LEGO still after the traditional 4-12 years of age. It is generally a sentimental, hobby/relaxation or mind stimulation response. This is different for everyone and it will help LEGO determine what "hooks" they are missing in current efforts that will get children to continue with the brick beyond 12. The money question is simply, what is required for you to take money that could easily go elsewhere and spend it on a childs toy for yourself or your family. What things about LEGO equate to being worth spending money on. Things such as number of bricks, what type of sets or simply do it look cool are easy answers one could use. This is sort of the logic of Bricklink. People feel sets and peices are worth xx.xx amount based on so many different factors. Having a set with a rare part or a special element is sometimes enough for people to buy a set for more than they would otherwise. Having a high piece count is always helpful when selling. LEGO sets = money. LEGO obviously sets a price and must make a profit, what do they need to have in the box for you to say "Yeah, that is worth it, I'll get one (or twelve)." I will tone down the sig. for you Hobbes. A little ;)
-
Yes, it was a good suggestion. And thank you! You are an honor and a scholar and a pirate! :^D Now if only the other EB members would see the value in this and post some answers.

Leaking in on sense is bad. I am almost positive that MB has spys on nearly every LEGO forum on the web. Fortunately, LEGO is fairly tight lipped and MB can't copy them right away. Anyway, I have posted the survey on LUGNET and a link in CC. I must ask you my fellow Eurobricks members to help me now. I truely need help with this if the goal of even 100 responses is to be met. Please, share the link on other LEGO forums you visit. Encourage people who enjoy LEGO you know to take the short time and answer the questions. For those of you who were sceptical or unsure please look at what this can accomplish. The questions are about opinions, not right or wrong. Jake has promised to read every answer. You will be heard. If this is valuable, which with 100 response I don't know how it couldn't be, Jake will share this with those who make decisions at LEGO and we will see results very much to our liking. All it takes is three or four commercial breaks to answer these questions. Anyone can find that much time. Seriously, do not let such an opportunity go by. Your answer may be the one that changes LEGO for the better. Even if you are entirely happy with everything LEGO is doing you can still have valuable answers. Just remember to be polite and use common sense when answering. Life is not all about LEGO, LEGO is not what makes life great, but life without LEGO would surely be less interesting. LEGO has value to all of us or we wouldn't post here. Take time and let LEGO know what they can do to be better. Long live the LEGO revival!

In the TRU near me, LEGO is on a 20-24' by 7' area. MEGA is on two smaller spots and must share room with best lock. And this doesn't count the 8' by 7' section of SW LEGO in the front of the store. Children are not as interested in MEGA anymore. The sets have become even my flash and glitter and less stuff inside the box. The first wave of them was impressive because for very little money you could get a large set with 10+ figures. Now, even the large sets often only come with 4-6 figures.
-
Mega is just not the same. They are cheap. they don't stick together like the should and the few that do are almost impossible to separate. Mega is icky! I would rather buy a small lego set with figures whose hands don't break after to seconds of playing with it. Children know the difference. Their parents are the ones who have the pocket book :'( .

Dear Eurobricks members I have emailed Jake Mckee and he has promised to at least read what we have written. See quote below.

Charlie is a cute little fellow. I like Goldens. They are such well behaved dogs.
-
This is my little dog. He is four now and his name is Obi Wan. He is a good dog but lately with the storms we have had he is a bit of a terror. He is afraid of thunder and lightning and will keep us up all night long at times. Thankfully he usually will hide in the closet.

Daniel, God's judge or judge of God (meaning God uses me to judge) or it is also means discerning. I go by Dan. Only the people who know me from childhood call me Danny anymore, my sister and my aunt mostly. SuvieD is actually odd. If any of you have seen the movie Alien Resurection where she rips out the alien tongue and hands it to the guy saying it is a souvenir. Well a friend of mine decided that because I have a long tongue my nickname should be souvenir. We then decided to shorten it and add the 'D' from my name to the end. Thus SuvieD. This also tell you how to say it. sue.vee.D

Nintendo! I will get this just so I can play all my favorite old games and because Nintendo online multiplayer is going to be possibly the coolest thing to ever happen to Nintendo games like the new Super Smash Bros. that should be available at launch. That and the price should be lower which is always nice as that means like three extra games for the same price!

Shopko has a 20% off LEGO sale until the 25th. They recently marked down a large number of sets 10%. So a set like KK2 Citadel usually $49.99 with lowered price is $44.99 and then take 20% off to get it for $35.99. That is a savings of $14 dollars! They have some good sets if you missed a few of this or that over the last year. It is worth your time to stop by your local Shopko and have a look. Some Kmart stores also have a 20% of all clearance toys until the 25th. Most stores are empty of LEGO items but if you might find something if you look. They usually have a special clearance isle where they put them. It helps if you know what is supposed to be clearance. I found a few sets yesterday that were not marked but I knew they were marked down. I got this for $2 and this for $8. You will want to check mostly for HP sets but also some bionicle, KK2, Alpha Team and 4+ Pirates. If you see a unmarked Shrieking Shack it should be less than $12. Be aware of sets hiding behind others in the LEGO aisle and if you see "loner sets" with no proper place on the shelf check it under the price scanner to see if you found a deal. That is all I have for you this week. I will post again if I find more deals or special goodies. SuvieD

That is exactly my goal. Just not yet. ;) I myself am registered at Lugnet and CC. I will try to find people from the other forums to post a topic for me and I may even put some impressive mocs or battlescenes on brickshelf with small adds for it on the bottom. That is I might do all of these things. Problem is if I can't get support for it here I may not continue to pursue it. Though it is more likely that I will be overly stubborn as usual and stick with it to it's dying end. Please don't post anywhere else yet though. I am waiting for a PM with some information in it first. If all goes well I will rewrite the openning statement to be more direct and brief. 500 answers is ambitious but I think it is achievable. I will look into having people condense and be more precise with their answers soon.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. If this to you is a whine list then so be it. I am not a fan of wasting my time or others time and as such I feel this, when finished, will not only be valuable free research for TLG but also a good indication of what the members of Eurobricks are looking to see. I will do everything that I can to make sure that someone with some authority working for/with LEGO gets this to them. This is all going into an excel file that can be easily sent to any person on the planet with a windows installed PC. I am sorry you don't want to help. I am sorry you think this is going nowhere. If all I do with this is send something that never gets looked at by anyone what have I lost? 15 minutes of time maybe? If I never bother to do this and send it what will I ever see of my/Eurobricks members concerns? Nothing! That to me is sad. To think I can do something right now and that I won't because I feel I am defeated before I start. On the other hand, if this is looked at and considered wouldn't we all have a reason to be happy about better sets with less specialized part and more minifigures. If LEGO wants my continued business then my opinion matters just like everyone who feels LEGO ought to improve. I seriously do not want a focus group of five-year-olds determining whether I get an ancient Greece theme or KK13. If I can I will make a difference. If you want to help that is your decision. The more responses to this the more seriously it will be taken. If half the members here feel as you do, then yes, it will probably fail but not because I didn't try. I hope people will want to help make a change also. Thank you to those who already have. . . . but it is not this day. This day we fight! *sing* I feel like I am on a soap box :$

I didn't say you were. I was meaning to say . . . well nevermind. Just try to post appropriately is what I am saying. Don't double or triple post, edit previous posts and be patient to get a nice title.
