Well not that I really mind because I don't really care how many posts I have. I do feel left out though because the moderators get special privleges members do not. I can't have fun messing with forum topics or titles. I can't play around with peoples post counts or give fun or quirky titles to anyone. Not that it really matters but it is like being in a sport where you know other players have more "skills" than you but you can't do much about it. I could go start my own team and have all those privleges but it isn't the same. I don't want your responsiblity, nor your power to moderate. I enjoy being apart of this community and would like to have fun joking around with people like just about everyone else. Maybe I am just weird but when we played outside as children we had our own "pecking order" and for some of us (not saying anyone else is like this here) who were the "leader" it seems odd not to be able to do the things other "leaders" do. Trust me I do not at this time want any of you duties, responsibilty, or privleges. I just like to be in on a joke instead of catch the last few words laugh akwardly and walk away not getting it. Whoa, I really don't know why I just wrote that. We all want to be "cool" and belong. If you and Orlego want high post counts then try not to leave all the rest of us out of the fun. Oh, and someone change the topic title. I don't use language like that and it really says nothing about the topic being discussed. I would prefer people used words like hell and damn correctly which would mean if they are nice people they wouldn't use them. ;) . I know it can be used as an exclaimation of doubt or shock but I could find at least a dozen other ways to express as much with out even a remote chance of offending anyone.

Murder on the Lego Express Part 2
SuvieD replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It does seem odd that two men and a woman are in that set. All three are dead. No, treasure map to be heard of. A missing sword and worse yet a half loaded gun. :oo Things still point to a strong Spanish influence of the middle America area. I think we need a little more info before we begin accusing people. Athos you cannot deny that you are a gun slinging cowboy. There is a missing gun and not to accuse you but may we search your room? |:| -
Murder on the Lego Express Part 2
SuvieD replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
After getting sick on the horrible fish served on the train, and spending well near a lifetime in the bathroom, I finally feel better and I come out of my compartment to see what is going on. Hello everyone. I heard some strange noises and wondered what was going on out here. I also just spoke with a train attendent and he filled me in on what has been happening. I have reason to suspect a killer who is not present. Though I won't say who yet. My thought leans toward a fellow who wants pirates out of the way. Phes insisted that caribbean pirates were the only great pirates. Blackbeard historically was a british man who later became one such pirate. This seems to point toward England. Also, what has been done with the bodies? -
Sure do. I will add them tomorrow maybe. I will edit them and then add them. What were you looking for in particular?

E: how big the Sandcrawler? no, this guy collects classic space only, you can tell ;) F: He just watched Catwomen....... yes, and he felt so ripped off he shows it by expressing to a crowd of raving fans just what it felt like to pay money to watch such a stupid movie so that will not have to endure the agony* :| :() ;) that's what me think *I never saw the movie I just heard that lots of people didn't like it, that and I don't care for Halle Barry's acting (if you can call it that)

How could The Lego Company Improve itself?
SuvieD replied to Mister Phes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hear, hear! They need to add more minifigs also. At least 1 per every 7 dollars. $20 = 100-300 parts and 3 minifigs. $100 = 500-800 parts and 14 minifigs :oD :oD :oD . I really don't care if the parts are basic bricks and plates. I would actually prefer it. Skip the bulk tubs use the pieces in the sets. Minifigs can be generic (I don't need 10+ kings or knights) like peasants, bandits, military grunts, storm troopers, swabbies, natives, explorers, workers, sellers, children, or women (a definite minority). Back to the basics. Simpler sets with more parts and figs are hands down the best to have! Why do I want a big fall apart set that only comes with 12 pieces a minifigure and weapon for $15? *wacko* *devil* *wacko* I don't! -
Most lurkers de-lurk and post when they want to. Many want the latest info on sets that Eurobricks is sort of known for. They will post when they are ready. I lurked for at least a few monthes before registering and then mostly lurked until April. I post when I can or have something I feel is worth saying so I assume other will do the same and if not then they will have to miss out on the great fun we have :-D ;) Lurkers . . . unite, or um, delurk!!

Hey man, seriously, this isn't funny. Why don't you get back off topic where you belong and quit clogging this thread up with garbage. Keep it where it belongs! ;) ;) ;) :D ;) ;) |-D So if you were a movie monster who would you be? I like to think I would be a scary green creature from the black lagoon! Zoog!

2004/2005 Hunting Star Wars Sets and availability
SuvieD replied to DoubleT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Welcome! :-D Well it is an update to me and I didn't see it on the front news page yet so it seems like a good post. ;) You should go and introduce yourself on the Hello my name is . . . category. I never realised it was there until I was knee deep in posts. Anyway nice to hear from you. -
Well for anyone going to Minnesota US there are a number of stores with something worth looking at. Kmart has some sales and clearance a month before new sets come out, usually January and June. Some stores are different than others in that some have clearance others do not or clearance prices don't always match. There are three in the Duluth area, West Duluth, Mill Hill mall area, and over the bridge in Superior. Kmart is often hit or miss. Walmart generally has the poorest Lego selection of all the retail stores. Clearance and sales are always hit or miss. It is generally the mid-sized $30-50 sets that can be found on clearance. There are three near Duluth in Hermantown, Cloquet and Superior. Target has a large section of Lego. The sales are a little fewer in the busy summer monthes and pick up near the holiday season. They rarely are out of anyone set as they get them in frequently. There clearance is usually very predictable in that they will always mark down certain sets at certain times of the year. Once marked down the usually follow the progression of 2 weeks at 33% off, two weeks at 50% off one week at 75% off and then gone. The sets fly off the shelves at 505 so only the worst sets are left come 75% off. There are two in the Duluth area. One by the miller hill mall and the other in Superior. KBToys/toy liquidators, offer some better deals on older sets. Sometimes they even have sets from up to four years ago. Toyliquidators deal only in clearance sets. There are no stores in my direct area but there are a few within a 1-3 hour drive. Toys R Us has the largest and best selection of sets. They seem to get lots of exclusives. They often have BOGO 50% off on sets. Also, they carry some of the larger sets other stores won't. Clearance is generally yearly with the green tag sales. The is one in Duluth near the Miller Hill Mall and ther are many more near the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Lego stores are becoming more prevelant also. Many are located on the east and west coast with a few in the middle of the country. The closest one to me is in the Mall of America. They always have neat little bits you can't get anywhere else and the PaB is decent to great depending on who has been through it or what has come in recently. There are some big spenders in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and I think they snap up the best stuff right away. I know that other stores carry Lego but these are the prominent ones in the frozen north of the midwest. The dollar stores also at time carry LEGO, though mostly the awful sports LEGO stuff nobody wants. You may if you have time want to check garage sales or thrift stores as people do find once in a lifetime bargains at them. These are very hit or miss. Never able to constantly find LEGO. Large resellers like Goodwill and Savers are also posibilities. It is rare that you find much of anything good but you can usually find something. The US is so large it is hard to tell what stores are the best. If you plan on traveling to the US I recommend you look at the LUG map on lugnet and try to get in touch with them. If you plan on visiting Duluth, Minnesota let me know and you can stay at my house for free and I will show you every place that may have a deal or sale if you like.

It really depends on the weekend. I like to have friends over and play stategy board games like Risk 2210 or Twilight Imperium, I would build with Lego or spend some time with family/friends. I also would do some grilling and go camping if it is warm enough. Many weekends I help out at my church with my youth group or the Sunday school children. After service on Sunday morning I like to play (American) football in the church yard. Some weekends I go hang out with a Lego group that meets a persons house and we talk about . . . stuff that we talk about here at Eurobricks. We also show off our lastest hauls or new sets or mocs. Every once in a while I get a weekend at to myself where I can do whatever I want :oD and usually end up sorting my lego :'( I rarely post or even go online on the weekend as time is too precious and I can never seem to have enough of it. Sorry to hear about your 3 hours of sleep each night. *wacko* That can't be good for you. :^^D I hope things get better soon.

The plans sound nice. :) Please don't over control the forums though. I for one do not enjoy all the silly rules and "oganization" of the majority of the LEGO websites. *wacko* That is why I, a resident of the US, post to a European message board. People here have fun and still maintain a common LEGO interest. ;) I do think that people should use common sense before posting though. I wouldn't enjoy someone hijacking a thread I created by going way off topic *twisted* , being overly negative >:( or starting a flame war *devil* . So, I will endevor to return such a courtesy to the members here. :-D I like that it can go off topic somewhat but still be constructive. Anyway, I did notice the Phes got "talked to" on the forum. I say that if a member is abusing posting then let them know either more gently or privately (which ever is more applicable). Eurobricks is not a forum or a chat room but a community. I will support any change that works to maintain that effort. *satis* If this place turns into FBTB or Lugnet, I will find somewhere else to go. :'( Not trying to sound negative. I love this site and I think the admins are some of the best I have seen. One of you should attempt to be an ambassador when they vote next. This site has a great sense of diversity and community. Keep it up everyone.

Yes, welcome. My wife is a mermaid :oo so it is nice to have a little representation for the country of her ancestors. I like your mecha. *satis*

Yes, welcome. I am glad I could bring you to the dark side. *twisted* Er . . . well European side. :-D

Nothing. ;) I deleted the traded items. It is a pet peeve when people post trade/sale items and then never delete items they no longer have. I know mostly pirate stuff got traded. Sorry, Phes. I still have a bit of pirate stuff though. ;)

Jon's should win. It is animated to decompose and then like magic it is healed. Fancy! :oD :-D ;)

Thoughts about Licences and TLC's future
SuvieD replied to SuvieD's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think the history/mythology is more of what will not only sell but it can also avoid any type of religous or political "agenda" some people could find with it. Besides it would be very cool to have all of those great greek mythological creatures. :-D The same goes for King Arthur. These are not only possible but entirely probable for LEGO to make it the near future. Kids would love it, adults have been begging for it for years. I think it will happen. My hope is that they will also look into the mythology of other cultures so we can get some far eastern myths as well as some south american and south pacific type stuff. This could be great! :oD I know I have said it four or five times now, but I want a Nintendo and Lego venture. More specifically, I would like a Legend of Zelda series. Link, Zelda, Impa, Ganon, moblins, tektites, stalfos, iron knuckle! :oD ! and the triforce all in Lego. :oD :oD :oD :oD :oD :oD :oD :oD :oD :oD Go NinLego! -
Only the one. I traded my AotC troopers for some other castle guys with a friend of mine. :$ Chances are I won't get ony more of the starwars sets unless they go on clearance (which won't be for another year probably). :'( Is your only interest SW or did you see something else you liked? If you like the mecha I posted in my brickshelf file I have 10 of those. Would you want to trade for one of them? I will sell them as soon as the instructions are done. *wacko* Mister Phes surely you have something to trade that is not Piratey. ;) suvieD

I have finally done it. I got pictures and have uploaded them. Mecha folder Here is my baby. Actually it more resembles a fatter middle aged man with a beer gut. Features include extreme manuverability and posability. It is modeled as close to the human form as I could get at that size. It is not a heavy attack mecha but a sabatour. If you could have a ninja as a mecha this would be it. It favors movement and stealth over speed, weapons and armor. I know how do you stealth a huge machine like that. Well it runs as quiet as a new car engine and it is sort of skinny. ;) It has very few weapons. It's primary weapon is the palm incindiary beams that are capable of cutting through heavy tank armor. :D Secondary weapons are the small laser guided rockets near the feet. Each has a micro computer that allows it to act as a motion sensor mine if dropped. The other weapon which is not visible is a shockwave pulsator. This is used to rid itself of unwanted parasites like clingy marines. :-D So ther you have it. It has five primary colors and trans orange and smoke parts to make it seven. Let me know what you think. This topic died once I entered. What happened to everyone? Kazmo, you out there?

Well, I took the pictures and posted them to brickshelf. Here is a link trade As far as the new clones I only have the red one that comes with the walker. Point to note (I wouldn't want anyone to think these were in perfect condition) Most of the non-pirate stuff is new only sorted/ used excellent condition. Anything that says used is very used. I got much of my pirate stuff from garage sales or ebay. most of the pirate figures are in used but good condition. The pictures turned out fairly well so you can see any damage. The Col. legs will be replaced with better ones. I had no idea they got chewed on. *sick* eww! The canon with no base has a base but it is broken. If anyone wants the canon with it let me know. han does have two diffwerent color hair pieces, I switched one so I could have the new color hair. There are 34 of each of the brown guns. 20 or so Boba fetts. 100 customs "fett" soldiers. 50 explorer and martian figures. I also have 50 of the set 1185 that they come from and I am willing to trade those as well. The heads are stacked by facial pattern except the light pinkish ones. I have pinkish hands to match but no orangy/tan hands or brown. The vampire has no hair. The shooting are spring loaded. The red canons are decorative ones. Let me know what you would like to trade. Please PM any proposals and if they are accepted I will remove the brickshelf picture and/or note what is no longer available. Thanks -Dan
