The question really is in do I want a hand held. If yes, why? If no, then it really doesn't matter. I don't understand the mentality of people today. The get jobs at younger and younger ages. Then, they take the money they earn spend it like mad on everything they want. In 4-6 years they are in debt, living at home with their parents or in an apartment, and have nothing to show for all their time but conquered video games and thousands of dollars spent on things that became outdated and unfun within a year. What ever happened to saving money for a house or wedding? What ever happened to giving to charity or spending money on things for friends or family? I really can't blame it on teenagers it is their parent for the most part who allow it in the first place. Think about it. If you have dozens of fancy toys and your next door neighbor's children can't afford to get a bike even, would you be better off buying them one and saving the rest of what you would have spent or getting a portable system so you can have fun and show it off to all your friends. Or better yet why not donate some to your local food shelter or put it in savings for when you need it. If the neighbor down the street has a house fire and loses everything why not help them out. I am not saying that it is wrong to have, want or buy things but seriously whern you spend 90% of your money on yourself maybe it is time to reconsider and spend a little more on someone else. Man that totally is not cool. May the culprits end up wishing they had done otherwise or send you double what they owe you. I pm'd you. And hey stick around the boards at lest in the castle and community sections. Not that I think you will go anywhere. ;)

Brickfest speeches = positive efforts, excellent progression and unparralled customer relations I for one am excited about a play train to setup around my christmas tree. I am interested in the design and buy your own set system. I am excited about LEGO wanting to delve deeper into the LEGO system instead of branching out into everything else. I really enjoyed how they realized how important we are and they now want to work with us on so many levels it is amazing. Bottom line this is the best LEGO news any site has ever carried. No, one set can be compared to a push toward excellence from a company who will then make sets that are great all the time. And to think all this is just the icing on the cake. 2006 is still going to be a great year for SW sets and everything else we have heard about in leaks and even things we haven't heard about yet. All this stuff they brought up is the extras. :oD |-D :')

Lately I play BfME and Super Smash Bros. (I don't want to lose my edge for when Revolution comes out). I am ready to play through Paper Mario again soon though. I Have been itching to play C&C Zero Hour recently too, so that may get some play time in the next month or so. If I have time of course *wacko* ;)

I remember someone making a helicopter that actually flew. It was remote control. I think I saw it on Lugnet. You may want to check the search there. I wouldn't be of much help. I don't have any technic motors or many pieces for that matter.

Have a great birthday.

Welcome Legolover! Have a great time posting here. Don't forget to check out the chat.

Yes you can! Only named monsters are look-a-like. Jabba the Hutt would have to be in the look-a-like category. The rancor, the wampa, the fish thing in Ep 1 all could fit in the scifi category or the mega category if they are big enough as they are a spieces not a specific "person". It is up to you to make a creature that would be a monster out of parts. Does that clear it up? 8-|

If you could create the next Alpha Team
SuvieD replied to LegoLover's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Alpha team and organized crime! Ogel runs illegal mind control operations from a bank, a donut shop and a grocery store. His head quarters is located in the city zoo. That way we can have great city sets, cool locations, tons of money, lots of food and animals. Plus we could outfit them in swat gear like xwingyoda did so we can get some more cool armor and new trans shields. Of course you would need a few good based sets so we could have the Alpha team swat truck, a small stake out set, and Dash's house set. I mean the good guys live somewhere don't they? -
Check the MOC forum for the new contest, I will get prizes announced soon.

That's right there is a new Eurobricks contest for everyone to join. :oD :^D :^^ MONSTER Builder! :^^ :^D :^D Get out your bricks and bionicles and get to building a monster of a monster! :^D This contest is about creating our own monsters, visualizing with LEGO a type of monster or making monsters to look like famous ones. This is not a minifigure modifacation or cutomization contest. All minifig monsters are not allowed in the contest. You must actually build a monster. Robots or mechanical monsters are also not allowed. Monsters in the scifi category may have electronic or machinery parts but must be in the majority a monster. Also, monsters in the look-a-like category must be recognizable characters or be accompanied by a reference so people can compare the two. These must be actual named creatures. For instance Frankenstein is a named monster and is allowed, the rancor from Star Wars is a species and therefore not allowed in the look-a-like category. You may not directly copy someone elses monster design or any monster LEGO has made. When: The contest will begin on Monday August 15th, 2005 and end on Monday October 31st, 2005. Contest winners will be announced on Monday November 7th, 2005. Submissions: You may submit up to 5 total entries. Each submission is limited to five photographs, each no larger than 800 x 600 pixels. I suggest using Brickshelf to host your images. Submissions can not have been entered into other LEGO contests and must meet the category requirements. Please state the name of your monster, a link to the pictures, a picture (for quick reference, optional), and a brief description to enter your creations in the contest. Judging: The judges panel will be made up of the selected members of Eurobricks. Therefore, they are not eligible to enter this contest. Submission will be evaluated on a 30-point scale. Creativity (is the construction original and eye catching)

You can count me in also! I voted for the opera house. After seeing the new movie (which was very good in some repects and awful in others) I really liked how all the little things got hidden here or there. And who doesn't know that a sandbag or light rigging isn't going to fall from the rafters, it's classic! Though if we get a second vote I'd say the abbey. Museums seem too boring.

Very funny Hobbes. Do you enjoy that model. I thought it was fun to build. I loved all the moving parts. I wish I had one as a child. I would have had my pirates exploring the moon with one of those. Good joke, I must admit I feel for it until I looked at the instructions. :$

I'll say! :o The main fire station where I live is about this size. Most of the trucks are kept at smaller stations spread out across the city. I expected a small station not the headquarters. I love the landscaping out back. The way it goes down to the beach and the dock for the fire boat I can see this working well for a city with a big river running through it. This is very nice. I would have used a different color for the garage doors or at least a different color door frame for them to break up the solid red. Maybe a dark gray or white.

Were you trying for book acuracy or movie? It looks quite a bit like the movie version but of course that is based off the book description. Either way you have done a well with this. It looks thick and fortified. It is on a minifig scale more so then a to scale model would be but i am one who favors minifig scale to the huge unplayable things people build. Nice work! I really like the mixing of the new and old gray to make it look varied. *satis*

May is the best month for travel. Small crowds, not overly hot or cool what esle could you ask for. I would like to go myself but school costs will not allow it. I got to go to Germany that will have to be enough for me. Hey, what about 2005? I still haven't heard a report about that yet. Just some pictures.

I'd say more like Chewy after a good shave! :^D

Brickfest has rules on the age of attendance. You may want to check into it more. I don't think you could make it happen so easily. Might be worth a try but something tells me it is not possible. Maybe all the east coast people could do something similar anyway. Rent an area, host some brickwars, show off mocs in person, all these things could still be done. May be worth a try.

THE OLD Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List
SuvieD replied to The Middleman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Chalk one up for both Bloody Jay and Legofreak. BJ sent me some very nice knights and weapons. He sent them both fast and secure! Legofreak sent me some dragon knights and some older space fellows. They arrived safe and sound in just a few days. Thank you both for excellent parts! -
Kaminoan is offering a limited edition R4-G9
SuvieD replied to Kaminoan's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Excellent job and congrats all around. I think these shall fetch you a nice price on ebay. -
I didn't know Phes was your name? I could have put that down but I believe you are Anon3. I didn't want to send info unless it was directly answered in the survey. You didn't list a country, age or name and so I left off all three, even though I know you are from AUS, and 21+. Sorry Phes.

Well folks the survey is finished. My brain totally fried *wacko* and my free Saturday completely gone. I just spent the last 12 or so hours finishing this project and it is somewhat lack luster. Survey I am too tired and mental deficient right now to make charts/graphs. I enjoy doing both so I will get to it soon just not before Wed. Anyway, feel free to read, comment on, critique or laugh at my stupidity *wacko* I will await an official response from Jake and let you know anything he says. -SuvieD

Well, I would have to say that we will get KK2.03 for sure now. I hope they include the sorcerer and the gargoyles this time.
