Continue Mystery at Crowley Mansion
SuvieD replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yes, please let it continue. I will play mutliple personalities if it must be that way. Good ol' Agatha wouldn't leave us hanging. Holmes always gets his man (or woman). We must not let this mystery slip though our fingers. -
Well since this thread is sort of done for now may I make a suggestion? Why not select a new group of people to continue the investigation who can commit to posting everyday or nearly everyday. I know you could alter the story to fit such a circumstance. The new players would be able to interrogate the old players (through Pete) and figure out some clues before heading into the mansion. Then we would be able to solve the mystery. It wouldn't have to start right away or anything and people who played before could continue on if they wanted too. That way you won't have to find too many more people to join in. Please!!!!! :D Don't leave me hanging. I have been following this thread for over two months. It just has to end properly and get solved. It is so close. Only a few more places to check a few more clues to find and the mystery would be solved. *sing* PLE-E-E-E-E-E-E-EASE! *sing*

I think they finally realized that the pricing was not very good compared to the US. By moving all of the ditribution to one place in Europe I think they can save some money and offer the sets in Europe at a lower cost. Pricing really wasn't fair. This thread talks much about that. I think they know the arguments they had couldn't stand up to logic so they are trying to change them. Of course I could be way off but hopefully and maybe they are working to sell more in Europe. If the S&H prices are dropping will the store prices drop also? Let us know.

Apo you are a wealth of inspiration and MOCs. I really like the new tripod monster. It has a terminated type feeling to it. I have seen your other stuff as I check the brickshelf page for updates almost daily. I do really like your troll and castle. I guess I will have to start making some stuff myself.

That castle would be a blast to siege. ;) I don't make interiors myself as I gernerally don't want to if it can't be seen anyway. It does look like it was made to have and interior though. I can see a dungeon in the bottom and a banquet hall, armory and kitchen where it is square and the living quarters on the top and in the towers.

Dav Ven, Hope you have a great celabration for the day of your birth! :-D May every present rattle, or be expensive!

I have become the Viking Revival! I will soon bring back the heritage of the Danes and begin another viking conquest, in LEGO of course :-D .

Vikings aren't out in the US yet but I have some figs that will do just fine. I too will lend my tribe to support the Viking army. Now I just need to get a longboat to sail over to Europe. ;)

Yes, but it shouldn't be. It is true that forts and castles are present but castle has always been decidedly European. Had ninja been expanding like castle had then I would gladly have choosen ninja but as it stands now ninja just isn't big enough or appealing enough to compare. Many people want to group vikings with castle or pirate also but I think it should remain it's own theme. Vikings are too cool to be be pushed into another theme. Just like ninja is.

I too am a viking now!

No, they can rotate 0-20 maybe? They have two small tabs that prevent them from complete rotation. Unfortunately, the don't stay in place. They tend to rotate backwards and make uneven or wobbly stairs. This can be avoided with some clever stops but the stair is still very limited. The stair only comes in HP sets. I like them in some ways and dislike them for their weak structure. If you want a plain round stair you can use these fairly well. To keep them in place I usually place a jumper tile underneath the bottom step to keep the bottom stair from moving and the a brick with a 1x2 plate w/arm up on the bottom to hold the top step in place. This keeps the stair in a somewhat locked position. Do not twist or apply much pressure to the stair once locked in place or the middle parts can come loose and cause you much trouble depending on the model or moc.

check here Also HP 4752 has 8 of them in tan.

Nice review. Never saw it. Will never see it. Don't care about it. But nice review. You should review a movie favorite of mine, 1938's The Adventures of Robin Hood starring Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland. I would like to see you review on that.

First sort out the plain bricks, plain plates, and then the plain slopes each into their own piles. This should be the majority of your parts in that order. Once you have these sorted out you could sort each pile in a number of ways depending on prefenerce and the number of drawers you have. You could sort them by color, by piece size or by both if you have the room. For the smaller parts you can sort like what is done on bricklink or possibly by theme. That way when you go to look for a 1x1 round brick you will know where they all are. To be even more detailed you could sort each shape by color also, again depending on room and storage containers. For bigger items such as windscreens, burps and large modifded plates like wings or wedges you could sort those by color or by shape into a different area. Finally you will need a place for your minifigs as they don't really fit in the other categories. Thes you can sort in so many ways you must do what works best for you. If you want to see how I sort my parts check out the following links. Here you can see how my bricks are sorted into LEGO tubs. Here you can see how my slopes are sorted and above those in the white bins are containers and doors. Here you can see my trays of small parts and the bins below have my basic plates by color&shape. Here you can see how I sort the actually pieces by shape and color, sorry it is so dark. So there you have my version of sorting. I think that as long as you get the first step done the rest is soooooooo much easier to not only sort further but also to build. Hope this helps.

Is it the Islander Catamaran(sp?)? It looks like it is with some sort of jungle background. I am very glad that we get straight pictures the first time around. The editted stuff is just silly.

CASTLE!!! *sing* *wub* Castle *wub* Other themes are, okay I guess. I played with pirate as a child the most. Castle is still the best! ;)

That's right TRU has a new brick tub that has a 500 piece bonus box strapped to the top. It is red and retails for $29.99 for something like 1503 pieces. There is a duplo tub for those into that sort of building. I haven't had time to sort through much of the bonus items but it is a variety of parts in many different colors. Everything from lime green to pink. I will take pictures this weekend of the contents and you can all judge for yourself. I am interested in seeing if the contents of these boxes varies as much as last time. Anyway, if you need some bricks for on okay price and want to get some specialty pieces that are harder to find pick one of these up. Last year the tubs dissappeared from shelves quickly and I forsee it happening again. It still is only $0.02 per piece so it is a good value.

Yes, welcome. :) You will find that this site is both cursed and blessed. We get info often times earlier and more reliably than other sites but because of that LEGO will not share much of the goodies it does with other sites such as CC or FBTB. The best part is that site is much more "free" in policy and if you post with common sense and respect you can post and even go off topic without one word against you. ;)

Where do eBay and BrickLink sellers get LEGO from?
SuvieD replied to Mister Phes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Just before Christmas, Nov 1-Dec 15 or so to allow for shipping time is one of the best. Also in the US I would say the time period from March to May for numerous reasons. It is usually muddy, people have just gotten their tax returns and the junk people got for Christmas is worn out it's appeal and people want to turn it into some cash. -
I have never seen a black man in my life. Many people I know have skin much darker than mine but black, nope I have never seen it. I don't watch the garbage they put on the news. I knew before the hurricane hit that looters would come and violence would start and that people would die for doing stupid things. I didn't need to watch the news to know all of this and I am glad I didn't because i would have to see all the same half truths that they spout off about. Just so I can go along with this conversation I will refer to people darker than most as "black" a term I am not fond of (just like how i am not white). Anyway, black people are just that, people! :oo I know crazy thought. They eat different food than I do and wear different clothes too. They like different music and attend different churches. The black people have different names and like different activities than I do. But . . . now catch this, so does everyone else regardless of the darkness of their skin, the language they speak or the the country they live in. Black people are just that, people. Please treat them as such. Treat them as you would want to be treated. Enough of this crap about color of skin or difference in speech. Oh and just so you all know, one of my best friends is indeed "black." We call each other "my twin brother" because we share so many common interests. Help your nieghbors in need, when it is your time of crisis, they will remember and help you in return.

"I lost to a girl." :'( *devil* "It's okay, look I'm a girl!" "Yeah, but you have bigger muscles than I do! " :o "Jealous?" |-D
