  1. I like the flags too, although they seem pretty small on the sample map.
  2. *whistles innocently*
  3. Those are looking fabulous, Mike! And I remember when you first signed up: "I probably wont be very active..."
  4. I am with dr_spock on this. The more manual entries, the more will be missed, the more people will be frightened away by the workload, and the more errors will be in there :)
  5. Great looking palace - while I have seen it before, it really shines. I like how the multitude of rooms allow us to unfold the extensive story while we are on a virtual tour of the palace. Personally, I think this is a very effective way of telling a long story. Great work - with a multitude of great details - The interiors are great, but my favourite thing about this is its monumental exterior. Great colours and layout. Both those points came as quite a surprise to me as we were developing the story! It was a great way to develop the story. The ping-pong of Q&A made the story surprising for both of us, so if any of you need to explore the IC opinions of your characters, or enquire about someone else's, this can be recommended. Of course we had a bit of OOC planning, but we specifically avoided giving the actual opinions before the conversation exposed them. I think both Elostirion and I had some surprises as we developed this story! Try it out! Exactly - we need MOAR (IC) DRAMA!! I like how these things really bring our world to life, rather than it just being a number of individuals going about their separate business. Alea iacta est! Glad you like the tension - and I think we can all put our hand together for Eslandola - they seem to be very good at adding some political tension throughout BoBS! And yeah, O'Brian (and to lesser extent the Hornblower novels and similar) are my main sources for inspiration, as I believe my characters might already have given away... Happy to know others have read them/heard of them too - always worth a read! Well... Montoya did explicitly warn Wyndzon that your position were likely to be interpreted as outlined here... And this was a great chance to take an IC stab at Guy! I entirely agree about the Royal Charter - this is a great example of a palace. Glad you liked roaming around in our heads too! We had much fun doing it too. Hopefully, I can be part of something like this sometime in the future. Perhaps Allcock and Montoya can try this out at some point...
  6. Great looking plantation, Mike. I like how you have angled the (great looking) warehouse, and those trees are just perfect to me. The way you built those clusters is very effective. Good to see Stormhaven grow! The story is nice too, and I like how Corrington is setting a precedent for giving convicts a new chance in the new world.
  7. I am going to go out on a limp and take a leadership decision here: Normally a deadline means that it has to be submitted any time on the 15th, anywhere in the world, so that is what we will be going with here too. I think the best solution would be to have some sort of open list of ship licenses owned by whom. It would also make general administration much easier. Of course, such an index wouldn't have pictures like @Maxim I 's great index, but it would make his work easier too. And by the way, what do you care? Don't you just attack anything that floats?
  8. It should be linked in the convoy sheets. Let me know if that doesn't work. And I interpret this as if I don't need to fill in forms for all the escorts, as long as they are in the convoy spreadsheet? Please confirm.
  9. I am sure Eslandian soldiers will keep using armour and shields as long as they have them in store... Not to incur any write-offs in the armaments ministry!
  10. Great looking barricade, UM! Alternating between snot pillars and studs up plates gives a very nice effect, and I too really like those carronades/howitzers/? - a very interesting mount too. Nice addition to Salida Este.
  11. It is good to see another of the Corrington Trade Companies expanding its influence, and that with such a lovely residence. I like the brick built ground floor and the tan upper floor with those pillars. (A nice detail is your use of 1x1 rounds to add texture.) The interior is really nice too, and I think I've got a piano lying around somewhere, that I now really feel like like getting it into a building!
  12. Thanks, Garm. That means we will have a bit of cleaning up to to in leadership, as I sistershipped all three, but we will take care of that after the MRCA.
  13. Ok, in filling in our escorts, can I for escort vessels on the same convoy, just fill in one form with all the vessel names divided by semicolons? (At least the ones of the same class in the same convoy? Otherwise, it takes next to forever...
  14. @Garmadon I need to have confirmed whether Mardier's Misfit, HMS Gauntlet, and/or HMS Hunter was lost during your part of the MRCA that you rolled. Looking at Ska's original roll, none of them appears captured, but at least Hunter and Gauntlet seems to have captured the vessel you claim captured them... And perhaps you should check these "captured"/"captured by" as there seems to be some general confusion? Sorry to add to your workload!
  15. Thank you, Captain Genaro - it was actually very interesting to construct this rigging, and the necessity of making it actually work requires a lot of details! I am planning to use her in future stories, first one probably being her arriving or moored at King's Harbour. So probably with all sails furled. As I wrote elsewhere, I hadn't actually considered the colour scheme other than as to what bricks I had available. But yeah - it turned out very fitting!
  16. Hear ye, Hear ye! Announcement from the Brethren Courts: Dear all, As has been hinted in previous posts, we have arrived at a solution that we hope and think will all be able to accept. We are aware that this will not satisfy everyone's demands, but trust you will be constructive and flexible. We have decided to go by the route that requires the least retcon'ing and maintains the most of the created lore as is. Thus, Eslandola's KMA action stands, as does Mardier's presence and responses(as well as those by Corrington and Oleon), meaning that Fuerte Unido is located as decided (convict town was all the time meant to be Mardier's derogative name for Fuerte Unido!) and that the island is now contested. It appears to be an interesting time in New Terra! However, inaccuracies in the mapping of Fortaleza Victoria's location appears to have occurred and we encourage Capt. Wolf to look closer at the map and pinpoint accurately its location. (It may or may not be on Skaford Heights This seems to be in order already.) This way, no one's efforts have been in vain, although Mardier's hefty presence is sure to surprise and confound all the nations involved on the island and its surroundings! Mardier established this colony before Terraversa declared independence and opened its ports to Eslandola, Oleon, Corrington and independent Sea Rats, allowing them access to the new world. It has thus been built up in secret before other nations reached these shores, allowing it its surprisingly massive presence. Lastly, the Brethren Courts would like to offer our sincere collective apologies for any confusion, ill-feeling and insecurity this has lead to. We try our best to support all (reasonable ;) ) initiatives like these, but as this was new in several aspects, we were quite taken aback and unprepared. This is the first time we have a real squatter colony, actual non-mrca conflict with an NPC-nation, this hefty inter-faction diplomacy, and secret NPC colonies, to name a few, which means we did not handle it as well as we could have wished. We also hope that any ill-timed words and/or misunderstandings in different threads can be forgiven, as we will forgive. Lastly, we will add that we are very happy to see this kind of enthusiasm and initiative in BoBS and have noted the constructive comments you have added to the discussion. Should this lead to any questions, please ask here or your local trusted leader, and we will do our best to answer to your satisfaction. Ever your servants The Brethren Courts
  17. Computer says "NO"... (See what I did there? Double pun! Two letters, AND a no! I must be the f(/p)unniest man in BOBS! ;) )
  18. As you may have noticed, leadership has been rather occupied lately. ;) However, we assure you that we are working on it! :)
  19. Heh! Nice little jugglers stand, and great way to show the balls flying around! Well done! :)
  20. Great work and great story, Ayrlego. I agree the faces are a bit similar, but I think this is better than unorderly beards everywhere! DISCIPLINE! It truly is an interesting time on Skaford Heights! The landscaping is really nice - I definitely need to practice my jungling! And the second rendition is great too, although they all seem to be down with some horrible jungle fever, judging from their horrid complexion...
  21. Nice entry, SW! Great idea, and I particularly like the posing of the contestants, and the construction of that fence! Quite clever!
  22. Lovely facade, Faladrin, and very vibrant interior! I agree with Legostone that the door arrangement is really cool, although I can imagine slapstick comedy, trying to close all doors on a cold day... Great work and good to see the great powers are still meeting in friendly settings!
  23. Great looking island and fabulous monkey! (Who doesn't like a nice monkey? ) I ahve been sadly remiss in commenting on this storyline, but I would like to say that that is not due to me not reading and joying the story and builds tremendously. (Although it has been rather unorthodox ) I really like the use of those different tropical baseplates, islanders, and landscaping/vegetation, but my favourite detail is the use of different faces for Brickinson!
  24. Titus, just to be clear, we are working towards a mutual solution in leadership. There is a lot of disagreement out in this thread, but I expect that we will be able to find some solution agreeable to all. We are going for compromise, not conquest here. Patience, my young padawan! :P Titus, just to be clear, we are working towards a mutual solution in leadership.
