  1. Nice minifig posing capturing the emotions very well Since you seem to take the photos with a phone, I'd recommend getting more light on the scenes when shooting. Best would probably be to go outside when it is cloudy, or in the shade (as you don't want direct sunlight either).
  2. Let's just say that dark blue is a color which doesn't last very well in the intense UV radiation of Kaliphlin and tend to get lighter blue over time? I looked up the exact same picture to verify that I wasn't mistaken myself Good btw that the new "leader portrait" of the Desert King is made without third-party parts!
  3. I'm quite sure that regular red and dark blue were the original Kaliphlin colors. But dark red and regular blue have also been used quite frequently instead of one or both of the official hues. (I think that is quite historically accurate that there are differences "within" the colors due to different dyers having different recipies etc )
  4. Very nice brick built hull! I like the details of the rigging very much too This is exactly the kind of ship I could think of including in a future harbor scene in Barqa
  5. I hope you've saved some tan for more of Mophet!
  6. Great to see Mophet rise out of the dust in such a prominent way! Particular favorites of mine are the various arches (although maybe a tad too many different styles in one single building?) and the oil lamps on the pillars The presentation is top notch as usual, and I really like the closeup shot of your sigfig through the arches It's been fun to see how the build has grown to this point, looking forward to more fast WIP-feedback (and trashtalking!) I think the tag should be @Peter S.
  7. Nice little scene! I love the use of the superhero power as a towel
  8. I second the praise above The rider looks suitably menacing too
  9. Cute scene, the irregular shapes work very well here The green hood works great on that character btw!
  10. Two very nice builds, capturing the respective guilds perfectly Especially the window and the nice use of printed pieces and stickers stand out in the Kali build. (I still cannot manage to get any colorful Kaliphlin mosaics to work out, need to look more closely at your builds!) The smooth shapes of the snow also look very realistic, and I love the asymmetric design of the house with the small details put under the side roof.
  11. Nice goats I think the photos could use some more brightness however.
  12. Nice design of the tower! The trees are also very fitting for the scene A couple of photo notes however. Straightening the photo (so that vertical shapes in the middle of the scene are vertical) and some simple editing to remove the line in the lower right corner would have improved the presentation.
  13. Nice scene, detailed but still not too busy
  14. Very nice and instantly recognizeable dwarven build In this case I actually think the interior details are stealing the show, not only the exterior.
  15. These figbarfs are top notch, what an entry to the Guilds I love the “semi-custom” shields!
  16. Wow! That’s a lot of emotion in a small space, great minifig posing I do however agree with earlier posts that the text is a bit distracting and would have been better to just have beside the photo in the thread.
  17. Nice figs and a great rendition of the Nocturnian terrain, lovely to see that the darklands are not forgotten!
  18. Apparently never commented here, but as I’ve said before: nice introductory build and great to have you in Kaliphlin
  19. Excellent scene overall, especially the vegetation. Great presentation, both the flawless photos of the whole build and the nice closeups
  20. Yes, I'm considering adding a few 1x2 tiles in dark orange as "fresh copper" to the dome. On this picture you can actually see a hint of an experiment with that on the far side of the dome I wasn't happy with the gaps between the tiles however, but maybe if I only place a couple of them and not adjacent to each other it is at least a hint of the dome being repaired.
  21. @GabeExceptionally nice water! Could you maybe enlighten us to what the combinations of plate + tile you've used for the different depths...? I'm also working a bit with a Challenge III entry, starting out from the concept of a dome being repaired after copper thieves have taken advantage of the turmoil in Kaliphlin and that the city guards of Barqa have largely been away fighting in the war. Replicating the interior of a "planet dome" with droid arms and rigid hoses as a framework for a dome being reconstructed.
  22. Very nice figures and fitting backstories I love how diverse Varlyrio is turning out!
  23. Working on an Aslanic temple in Barqa
  24. Unexpected use of the gargoyle! I like that the diversity of Varlyrio is represented
  25. Welcome Wineyard! Great to finally see you in GoH, your style fits perfect in Avalonia! Although I dare say that some of you recent builds would have been even more fitting for Varlyrio Hope that we will get a great GoH table in Borlänge in May
