  1. Welcome! Really great intro pic! Welcome! Great intro story!
  2. We don't need to pay anyone off.... we just have more adventure than the other guilds. We got pirates, hidden coves, forbidden jungles, mysterious sea caves, deserted ruins, and forgotten mountain paths to name just a few.
  3. If you are wanting to become a better builder of MOCs illuistrating pre-16th century or fantasy life, I would say there is no better place to join than GoH. As others have said, there is no minimum skill required to join GoH.
  4. To my knowledge it isn't even necessary to have the Kaliphlin colors in your build. At least I haven't always had complete Kaliphlin colors in my builds and nobody has told me the build is disqualified... For your introduction it would be a good idea but other than that its pretty much free to do as you please.
  5. Another thing you might want to consider are the members of each guild. Do you like teamwork? Or do you like doing your own thing. If you like teamwork and member interaction, then I would suggest chatting with different members of the different guilds and see who you seem to "click" with. Some of my most satisfying builds in GoH were interactions with other members.
  6. They are given out for participation in official Eurobricks challenges/contests. If you participate in GoH main challenge, you will most likely get one at the end of book 2.
  7. Sign me up for Simon_S team. I honestly doubt I'll find any time to build anything though.
  8. The Black Falcons have been used both in Nocturnus and Kaliphlin but they would be allowed in any of the guilds.
  9. Voted for lost city... Reasons are the same as BFN.
  10. Always nice to see the Chima figs! Interesting story...
  11. Great ship and crew!
  12. My wife finds other activities to do with our son. It was the bright colors of the Friends sets that got her to build.
  13. Thanks guys! I was inspired by SPARKART to use Jaba's torso.... Jabba lives... by SPARKART!, on Flickr
  14. I had a couple of friends sets unboxed in a bin ready to be sorted and my wife saw the colored pieces and asked me for the directions so she could build them. She built both sets; this is the first time she has built anything at least since she was a kid... so it may just come in handy to have a few Friends sets lying around if you are a married man.
  15. Great intro build! Looking forward to part 2.
  16. My entry to the Transporting Cotton/Bandages to Avalonia mini challenge here.
  17. Masa had been so busy thinking in the Kaumatua Valley that he almost forgot to send bandages to the suffering Avalonians. Luckily for him, he knew just the right guy that could get the bandages to Avalonia quickly. Java the Slug while slow on his own had built a contraption that could easily move his sludgy frame at record speed. With this new contraption Java had begun offering his services to transport packages throughout the Guilds and had made a name for himself as one of if not the quickest transporter in Historica.
  18. Great idea! Nice to see some "human" opposition.
  19. Nice build for such few parts!
  20. Great job!
